  1. That'd be a bit odd, as Burke seems to be the leader of the Originals, but it's definitely possible. Cor Von is similar in size and build (and color, which shouldn't be a factor, but it is) to Lashley, and as such he could call lashley a second-rate version of the Alpha Male. Instant feud for no other reason than Cor Von is a dick.
  2. Last year, wasn't the tournament all on free TV except the finals? Do that again this year, but with all the PPVs being cobranded now, have eight RAW guys and eight SD guys go, and the winners fight at the May or June or whatever PPV. Opens up the field, gives more guys something to do, etc. Anyway, if a RAW guy were to win, when King Booker comes back to SmackDown, you don't *have* to do that angle.

  4. I think the main point of contention here is "The Undertaker is a good worker." Some -- many, even -- of you believe that to be true, and so many of his faults are accepted or overlooked. Those of us who don't agree, however, see a guy who can't work very well being placed on a pedestal and allowed to get away with things. I don't think that Taker is TERRIBLE, but to me he's never been more than adequate, and to see him lauded by the company and the majority of fans is irritating. It's also infuriating to see him as a World Champion when he has, to date, been nmaking "rare televized appearances" and doing little of note on those appearances. It's not that I want him on TV more; it's that the World Champion should be a fixture of your programming. I have other complaints about his character and some of the rumors you hear backstage, but those are minor. They just all add up, and they make me feel very anti-Takerish.
  5. I still think he's shit. Should form an anti-Undertaker union, or something.
  6. Thats not that smart..they could have made him wear something that would cover his stomach. He should have put it on his forehead. Nothing is ever truly safe.
  7. z-ing~ I love these.
  8. HOLY SHIT PORTER IS DAMARAMU, GET 'IM!
  9. It's so sad. Not that I was ever the belle of the ball, but I used to have a lot of friends I saw all the time. Now, I see a few people every Saturday, and MAYBE I go out drinking that night. That's it. If I didn't have the Twins and XBox, I think I'd hang myself.
  10. I just realized a thirteen year old is one of my better friends. That can't be good.
  11. Awesome ep. I loved Michael's explanation when Jan asked what was the matter. "Well I accidentally cross-dressed, and then Darrell laughed at me, and then stupid Toby came along in the car..."
  12. "Best news in weeks?" Really? I mean, who the fuck cares?
  13. Hey, does anyone know the song that Sci-Fi plays over their episode previews for this show? The sad piano bit...I really want to hear more of that, if it exists. Thanks in advance if anyone knows more.
  14. Pirahnas + Boof = 0WN3D. Twins take Game 2 of the series. If the Os get swept tomorrow it's six more weeks of winter for Marvin.
  15. Done, never let it be said I'm not a whore.
  16. Speaking of gay... www.myspace.com/tsmhoff I'll add whoever the fuck.
  17. S_D's LAW thing is the funniest thing I've ever read on this forum. He made a post, then a few hours later he makes the same post (using the same words and phrasing!) but credits it to Meltzer. Unreal. Al (I think it was Al that said it) is right about WWE main event not really meaning much until the last 5-10 minutes. I enjoyed the earlier part more than I think most people did, but it was really killing time until the finishing sequences.

  19. Heh, no that's awesome, Marv, I'm actually glad you had better things to do. Besides, you've got Boof and...Ramon Ortiz, or somebody, the next two games. Your boys might take one. I mean, in the same way Hell might freeze over, but there is a chance.
  20. BALLIN'!
  21. We can just remove it when we post, that's what I'm gonna do. HYPNOSIS!! Awesome.
  22. BOOM! Hopefully Marv had better things to do tonight.
  23. My brief thoughts. MITB: ***1/2. Very entertaining opener. All the guys hitting finish after finish was a crowd pleaser, and as an Orton fan I loved seeing three RKOs, then a SUPER RKO. It wasn't an epic psychological contest, but it was exactly what it should have been. People have been saying 8 guys is too many, but I actually preferred it, as it enabled more spots and gave guys more time to rest. Kane/Khali: *, but that's not really a complaint. Given who they were they worked the right style of match. With a few more minutes and a little more fire, this could have been in the ** range for me. Basically, though, this was what it was. Don't expect Shakespeare from first-graders. Benoit/MVP: ***. I wanted to like it more, but it was one-sided and lacked any real fire. MVP showed he can go, though, and the crowd reacted to him ("BALLIN!"), so it was a good night. Couple nice spots, and the arm psychology was great. Batista/Taker: ***. I was pleasantly surprised. I hate the Taker, but he had his work boots on, and so even though I don't like his style, the match was a success. Batista haters need to chill. Dude is a power wrestler, he doesn't need to be deep. He hit his spots, and hit them well. Hot match. ECW: *. I wanted it to be so much more, with RVD, Burke and Monty involved. But it pretty much sucked. Unorganized and hard to follow. * might even be generous, but it wasn't TERRIBLE, just bad. Lashley/Umaga: * on the match, *** for entertainment value. Lashley and Umaga both have potential, but neither one is expereicned enough to lead or carry a match, and it showed. Parts were exciting, others were plodding. But the crazy overbooking worked here, as the match wasn't the real story anyway. Melina/Ashley: 1/2*. I wanted to say DUD, but the finish was acceptable and there were a couple actual moves. But Ashley can't work and Melina has a LONG way to go. Keep her with Victoria, and keep Mickie with them. Mickie and Melina can learn from Victoria and then help each other, and we might make a wrestler out of Melina yet. Ashley is useless. Hot, though. Cena/Michaels: ****1/4. Your first MOTYC. My only complaint is that they went to the "we're both spent but we're gutting it out" WAY too quickly. They had time to work a bit more. They started off SO hot, with a blend of brawling, mat wrestling, and storytelling (Michaels' dodging was awesome), but they went outside before they needed to and the match suffered. The Asai moonsault was insane, though. But that flaw hurt the match a lot for me. It's still head and shoulders above a standard **** match, but Michaels -- who I love -- needs to resist the temptation to get spotty too soon. He never used to have that problem, which is why he's the GREATEST EVER, EVER. Cena was aces here as well though, and he really knows how to finish. Great match.
  24. Raw: HHH © vs. Edge SD: John Cena © vs. Mr. Kennedy Both champs as heels, both champs losing. Let's take it a step further. Wrestlemania 24: HHH © vs. Edge, WWE Championship John Cena © vs. Mr. Kennedy, World Heavyweight Championship CM Punk © vs. RVD, ECW Championship Randy Orton vs. Batista Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker Money in the Bank: MVP vs. Kenny Dykstra vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Chris Masters vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga Something like that.
