  1. But, Erik Bedard is starting for his O's. He'll have a 0.000 ERA, you know. Santana isn't a norm lefty..lefties can hit him pretty well: Gibbons - 6 for 12, 2-2B, 1-HR Huff - 5 for 16, 1-3B, 2-HR And Patterson and Markakis have never faced him, and Roberts a switch hitter would bat righty (2-13). The Orioles aren't done before they ever step foot on the field tomorrow night.. Gibbons and Huff are two guys, and that won't get it done. Patteron and Markakis have no idea what they're up against, and Roberts will get owned from either side of the plate. I like that your BEST argument is that they're not DOOMED to lose. The Persians put up a fight, too, but sometimes the odds just don't break your way. Good luck Marv, seriously. I hope it's a good game.
  2. Marv, fair warning, you're NOT going to want to watch the Orioles game on Monday. I mean, unless you're some kind of sadomasochist, because the Os are gonna get spanked. If they get three hits off Johan, they'll be doing better than they have any right to hope for.
  3. YU-GI-OH! Where did that come from? I love it.

  10. I have to agree with spman -- whenever they do vagina jokes, it's not very funny, like the Oprah episode. It's more crude for the sake of being crude, which I guess is cool in a postmodern sort of way, but it detracted from an otherwise enjoyable episode. The worst thing is that they spent the first six seasons making occasional comments about Hilary Clinton's ass getting bigger and bigger, just little quick one-liners. "And New York residents will be forced to evacuate if Ms. Clinton's ass gets any bigger. In other news..." Then they give a rendition of Hilary with a huge ass. So where is the bomb? In her vagina. Just felt like a missed opportunity. The Kyle/internet stuff was good, and the payoff (12:00:00) was funny, but not a great episode for me.
  11. Why would anyone bitch about this? It's a harmless little survey, takes like three minutes.
  12. Look how surprised I am. I hope it's not a pincer attack!
  13. (emphasis added) Maybe Orton would be more over if he had beaten the Undertaker? I'm just saying, your logic is somewhat backwards there. He might not have gotten any more over because of it, but now we'll never know. As far as the main event, the WWE isn't shy about letting us know that John Cena is the man of the future. Taker did win the Rumble, but so did Rey, last year. I wouldn't count on either match main eventing, they could go either way.
  14. I'm beyond late to the party, but here's the card I booked the night after the Rumble. WWE Championship John Cena © vs. The Undertaker Undertaker finally gives the rub to the guy the company is calling the star of the future. World Championship Batista © vs. Shawn Michaels With Cena taken, Shawn goes looking for other chances. Basically they could run it how they did the real angle, with Batista turning on his partner (Michaels) at No Way Out. Match can go either way AFAIC, either putting Batista over or giving HBK one last run. Steel Cage Match Edge vs. Randy Orton I had really hoped they'd push this feud harder, and this could be the blowoff. I think these guys have good chemistry, and they had some good matches in '04. Give the win to whoever they wanted to push next. I'd rather it be Orton, but either way. ECW Championship Bobby Lashley © vs. RVD vs. CM Punk vs. Elijah Burke This actually would have probably kicked a little ass. Shame. Uh, not really a "wrong" way to go here. I'd have liked to see it on RVD. In fact, I still would. Kiss My Foot Match King Booker vs. Kane They teased a feud after the RR. I know the Kiss My Foot match is a little gimmicky, but it works with King Booker and all. Booker wins, but somehow Kane ends up making Book kiss his feet, or stabbing him with his hook or something. United States Championship Chris Benoit © vs. Mr. Kennedy I know it's a bit of a backwards step for Kennedy, but the feud is built in and the match would have rocked, IIRC. Kennedy FTW obviously. World Tag Team Championship World's Greatest Team © vs. Cryme Tyme Slight fly in my ointment as I'm not sure how the belts would have gotten on TWGTT, but who cares? Also, silly me, thinking they might care about tag team wrestling. TWGTT to retain, setting up a rematch. WWE Tag Team Championship, Tag Team Turmoil London & Kendrick © vs. Regal & Taylor vs. Vito & Jimmy Wang Yang vs. Deuce & Domino vs. The Hardys vs. MNM More tag teamery, what was I thinking? Vito and Jimmy Wang Yang would amuse me as a team, and I needed a sixth. Hardys vs. MNM at the end, with MNM going over. Women's Championship Mickie James © vs. Melina vs. Victoria I figured Victoria would make this suck less. Melina for the win, probably. I forgot all about Ashley and Playboy when I booked this.
  15. I'm with BL -- Kane has always been solid. Well, not always, but over the last few years. He's no legendary name in the business, and he's had some stinkers, but by and large I find him more than serviceable. Nonetheless, MVP vs. Kane has me excited as I'm hopping on the MVP bandwagon as quick as I can. My roommate and I were talking about how many young guys they have that could be big, even if not great workers, and many of them are. Kennedy, Lashley, Masters, MVP, Kenny, Carlito, Punk, Burke, and some more that I can't remember. They've built themselves a nice foundation, it seems. Anyway, Mania...it should be a lot of peaks and valleys, I think. There's no lock for a great match on the card, but tons of potential: Cena/HBK, Benoit/MVP, Money in the Bank. Lashley vs. Umaga could actually be a cool match if it wasn't overbooked to hell, as it will be. I think they match up well. But then, you have the diva match, Kane/Khali, Taker/Batista, and it's tough to REALLY get excited. But hey, everyone usually brings it for Mania, so hopefully the bad will be good and the good will be better. Cena/HBK NEEDS to be great, though, or Cena will be the guy who couldn't have a good match with Shawn Michaels. The crowd's starting to ride him a little again, and he needs to show he can go in the ring. I think he will, but there's always the potential he won't. I'm not up on the current internet sentiment toward Cena -- I assume it's mediocre? -- but I like him and think he's come a long way over the past couple years. Should be a memorable show in any case.
  16. That is probably what's in there.

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE VIEWERSHIP OF HOUSE TO INCREASE. THE RATINGS ARE AT A SATURATION POINT! ONE MORE VIEWER AND THE SHOW COULD EXPLODE My ratings fall pretty well in line with Hawk's. 1. Melinda (and by a wide margin) 2. Blake 3. Lakisha 4. Gina 5. Phil 6. Chris Richardson 7. Haley 8. Jordin 9. Chris Sligh 10. Sanjaya Blake, though, is the one making all the right decisions, showing tonight he knows when to just be a singer. Randy talks about Melinda as a "pro," and he's not wrong, but Blake seems like the most complete package to me.
