I am shocked my game is so close. I went a bit wild on my picks this week. Of course, it paid off in the Cincy game. Fuckin' Arizona! They burned me again!

Smackdown is going to steal the show? Um...how? -

YES! The only match I wanted to see is on Heat! I love it when the WWE decides to make me glad I didn't order the PPV. -
What's up with A & M this year? I thought Franchione was supposed to, you know, make them BETTER? Do they just not know his system or something because they are TERRIBLE this year.

I am kicking myself this week. At the last minute I take out Jonathan Carter, and he gets two TD's and a bunch of kickoff yards as the Jets/Colts wonder, "Defense? What defense?" in their game.

I think they could pull it off, or at least try to. Heck, didn't Undertaker die, give a long speech, and rise to heavens after his RR 94 match, but they still did the Rumble afterwards? -
It looks like David Carr is injured/shaken up, so here comes Tony Banks~!

OMG! Bill DeMott on commentary? When did everyone's favourite bully become a commentary?

It's always a good day when I get to see Nebraska get squashed. Unfortunately, I am stuck with the rather crappy Georgia-Auburn game. Georgia is making short work of Auburn.

Oklahoma only won 41-3? Were they making a statement to teams they hung 50 on like Texas as if to say, "Hey look! Even BAYLOR did better than you guys!"

The score tracker on CBS just said the score of Ohio St.-Purdue was 445-6. WTF?

Which Enemy of the Christian Church Are You?

Sounds about right. -
I doubt much will be rolling in for my player(Suzuki). He has a minimal desire to play for a winner, so he'll likely be stuck on mediocre Phoenix for a few more years.

They were still around? Wow. I thought their 15 minutes of fame was up at least a year or two ago.

For me: Smackdown 3: I remember waiting for this game to come out, and when it finally did, it was underwhelming. It didn't have much of a story mode, and it took up a massive amount of space to save the data from the game. Legaia 2: I really enjoyed the original Legaia game, except for the rather dull ending. I bought this game, expecting it to match up, but found myself really bored. It appeared they were trying to stretch a rather so-so story out as far as they could stretch it, while doing very little to hold my interest to get through the 70 or so hours it would take beat the game. Plus, in the original, the ending seemed like it was building towards a sequel. I didn't like the ending at all, but could accept it if it was building towards a sequel. Upon finding out that wasn't the case, that made a crappy ending that much crappier. Suikoden 3: I am not sure why I disliked this game. I am not sure if I felt it was a disappointment after the quite enjoyable Suikoden 2, or if I just lost the patience needed to sit through an RPG. Either way, I wasn't able to get through this game. Plus, it got my hopes EXTREMELY up when it asked for data from Suikoden 2, as I assumed this meant characters would return. When I figured out that was not the case, I was extremely disappointed.

Well, Gail Kim and the Frenchie shuffle make this a must watch Heat for me. I can't wait for 7 PM.

The One and Only Smackdown! HCTP Thread

You think that's bad? Mine was much worse. The lineup for mine was as follows: Shawn Michaels(Champion), Ajax(my then weak CAW), Booker T, Scott Steiner, Goldust, and Bubba Ray. Odd things that have happened to me: Triple H jobs a lot. First, he teams with Ric Flair and lost a ton of times to Shawn Michaels and Kevin Nash. Next, he faces Kane for the Hardcore title, and jobs like 4 times. Not to mention the times he jobbed to Rock in World title matches. He was down to like 75 superstar points in my game last I checked. I beat Chris Jericho in my CAW's second match. Kevin Nash won the Royal Rumble. I was set to team with Kane in a match, but he ended up getting attacked and had to get carried out by parmedics. Through the whole segment, I was just waiting for Shane O Mac to pop out. During one point in the game, Vince decides to give me an opponent in hopes of me losing my World title. He announces...RVD(as I imagine virtual smarks marking out at RVD getting a World title shot). Seconds later, he adds Shawn Michaels to the match. It ends up with RVD getting squashed by Nash in a tag match(oh how I wish Nash would have pinned him after the first Poochie bomb), him losing to my CAW the next week in a singles match, and ends up stuck in a lame duck role at the PPV where he jobs to my CAW(again) to build up the REAL main event of my CAW and Shawn Michaels. To his credit, he did fare better than Shawn in his match. He gave me a tough challenge before I defeated him, unlike Shawn who I unmercifully squashed, despite his 96 SP and it being on hard level. -
Of those two, I'd suggest getting ad aware. It seemed like Spyware S & D didn't get rid of the problem when I had it while Ad Aware took care of it no problem. Of course, I use netscape now, so it's no longer a big deal.

Well, that's awesome that he may be able to return. He was easily one of my favourite wrestlers in the WWE. Though, I'd rather he just return as a manager because his wrestling was never that great, but he was gold on the mic.

Wow. Rob Johnson or Rick Mirer. What a choice! Boy, I hope I get the Raiders-Jets game this week(especially since I am a Jets fan.)

I would try to make PPV's more unpredictable, and less like a 3 hour version of Raw and Smackdown. Making it so that after a PPV, a fan might regret not ordering it. Perhaps have a shocking end to the main event, or have a sudden big return come out of nowhere. It's like awhile ago when Austin was coming back. They announced it on Raw that he was coming back, they spent four weeks baiting and switching at every opportunity before announcing that he's coming back at the PPV. Well, that's nice, and it likely will increase the buyrate for that PPV; however it tells me that if a big return is not announced beforehand, it likely won't happen on a given PPV. I'd regret not ordering a PPV if I missed a shocking moment on a PPV. I think fans might actually consider ordering a PPV if they knew there was a fair chance they will miss out something surprising on a PPV. Of course, they could just not care, but that's the chance I think the WWE should take.

I am incredibly happy that I started Chad Pennington this week. He and (Santana)Moss combined for 60+ points between them, as I am rolling against Team 2000.
