I'd say one a year wouldn't be too bad as long as they fix it so that whoever's drafted can't be traded right back. *coughHHHcough* I think that an annual draft could help keep the brands balanced, IF they do it right. As for re-joining the brands, bad idea. That would mean everyone getting less of a chance of getting on RAW or Smackdown for the undercard. So you would never see Tommy Dreamer, Johnny The Bull, and anyone else like that. The show would be all about the uppercard

I know this may end up making me look like a moron, but what's a Go Video VCR?
-
I have to admit, I was just as shocked as anyone when I saw HHH traded back to RAW, and I think that was the whole reason. Just to piss of the HHHaters and internet marks. Good Job, Vince. We'll see if the ratings stay that high after you swerve the fans.

The reason ECW died is because they were in a horrible pattern of losing. Not losing as in "they suck, the losers", but losing as in assets. If ECW could have kept most of their talent, they might have been able to grow better. Their problem comes with McMahon and Bischoff buying out all their talent. Which causes them to lose money as all their fans would watch WCW and WWF to see their favorite wrestlers. With a new ECW, this won't happen as much(one would hope). Not to mention the fact that the general wrestling fandom(not the smarks) had no idea there was an ECW until it was almost too late.(myself included) Of course, if Heyman isn't given the proper amount of control, it would still suck ass.

Wow. I'm so..... Underwhelmed.

I would be happier if it was similar to TNA on Demand. I would much prefer buying than subscribing. I wonder how they're going to decide the programming, and if you'll be able to catch up on lost viewing.

I'm so confused and angry. This complete nullifies the importance of the "Draft Lottery" in the first place. The whole point was to start new feuds, etc. and HHH gets traded right back. There should've been some clause which prevented Lottery picks from being traded
-
Yeah, I edited that.
-
I was stoked that HHH went to Smackdown, until they announce RAW got Edge. I wish RAW would get compensation for Heyman quitting
-
Call me immature, but that was not what I wanted to read when you're talking about porn
-
Yeah, I'm thinking it's mostly underuse, because everytime they do the job their morale drops even more. It sucks because every time I throw them in a feud, they have to lose to keep it interesting.
-
Did I read this right? Is this for real or are you just kidding me? I'd rather listen to Cole's bs calls than hear Mike Tenay insulting all the heels to get himself over AND telling every single detail of a wrestler's career instead of calling a match.

I've got a problem. I'm running an HWA game(insert jokes here), and I'm up to 22 percent National, but I've got 5 guys who are down to 30% morale. Any ideas?

[Long] How the WWE is killing itself:
TheBigSwigg replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in The WWE Folder
I agree that there are too many PPV's, and we have WCW to thank for that. I would love to see each show only get 4 a year. None of this sharing PPV's. I can't see Smackdown, so their matches end up being bathroom breaks most of the time. (Exception for Eddie Guerrero, just because I'm glad a short guy has the title.) I do think that the current female valets do nothing but show off their T&A and do no good for the matches. Remember how a heel would get over just by joining the "Heenan family?" Let's see Stacy, Jackie, Torrie, Sable, or Shaniqua do that. Paul Bearer did actually add to the UT's return because it reminded us that this isn't the American BadAss anymore. Imagine if there was no Paul Bearer, they would have had to change more about the character to make us even believe there was a change. And he was instrumental in getting 'Taker over initially, otherwise they would have left him with Brother Love. Yes there is too much crappy WWE programming. I think that Heat, and Velocity would be worthwhile if they actually served a purpose, but they basically warm up the crowds for RAW and Smackdown. It's not like they serve a real purpose. As for the angles, yes they suck. I do agree that Christian-Trish-Jericho is the only decent storyline to come along lately, thanks to Evolution getting involved in the Foley-Orton angle. After seeing the videos for the angles at WMXX, I did realize that they were actually fairly long in execution, as Foley-Orton and Trish-CLB-Y2J actually took up most of a year. Kudos to them for doing something right -
Benoit is 'just a transitional champion'...
TheBigSwigg replied to Use Your Illusion's topic in The WWE Folder
I recall seeing a Confidential piece on the history of the World Heavyweight Championship in which they give the WCW lineage to the RAW belt. That's why I brought that up -
Benoit is 'just a transitional champion'...
TheBigSwigg replied to Use Your Illusion's topic in The WWE Folder
As much as I hate to say it, I do think Benoit will end up dropping the belt before it's necessary. If they really wanted to build him up, they would've mentioned that he NEVER lost the World Title when it was the WCW belt. He left an UNDEFEATED Champ and they've completely ignored that. Also, if you watch the 92 Rumble where Flair goes the distance, they talk about Flair the whole time(Granted, Heenan was color commentator AND Flair's manager.), whereas in this years Rumble, Benoit is basically ignored until the end. -
Is WWE on the verge of getting a NEW logo soon...
TheBigSwigg replied to Kizzo's topic in The WWE Folder
I meant maybe a seperate WWE logo for each show. It was just a random thought. The only reason I don't think they'd go for a new logo is because they would have to make new belts with the new logo. -

I would love to see a new logo. Maybe one each for RAW and Smackdown? -
Is that some sort of Mexican joke?
-
When looking back at previous storylines, his being buried alive was the reason he changed from "The Deadman" to the "Ministry" 'Taker. It would make perfectly logical sense if he "died" again for him to come back as something Darker than BadAss with a coat
-
I'm not lying, I do watch wrestling for the action in the ring. I think it's great they throw stories in, but I actually like the wrestling.
-
Actually, I go to a wrestling show to watch.....WRESTLING. I don't go because I want my sense of disbelief worked, I go to watch.......WRESTLING. I'd rather have an ECW or Japanese crowd over any other crowd anyday. At least they know why they're there....WRESTLING. Yes, I totally ripped off Benoit. I'm proud of it
-
I honestly think the crowd made that match unforgettable. If it wasn't for the crowd, it would have been just another match. As for the idea that smart crowds are stupid, I'd rather have a crowd full of smart marks instead of retarded morons cheering while still thinking it's all fake. And who's dumb enough to bash a crowd of smart marks in the forum of TheSmartMarks.com?

It's not that he wants to move on to other things, it's how he did it. Walking out like he's doing comes across as very immature. Not to mention that "Everyone" didn't praise him a few months ago. I know plenty of people who NEVER liked Brock, myself included. (Yes, I'm one of those who thinks that he was pushed to fast. You know he did. Think about it. As said earlier in this thread, at least Angle went through the undercard)
