Calling NoCal Mike and other zombie fan hippies
Youth N Asia replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Television & Film
Also...I read something in Best Buy's weekly ad about an extra disk you get with Dawn 2004 there. Looks like I'll pick mine up there then. -
While I wish they brought back the surfer Edge and Christian days they're going serious with him...which is disapointing
-
Was there a Simon Dean promo? I dozed off durring the HBK/Edge segment and missed some of the show.

I loved the remake as well. But they just couldn't have done the same movie in 1978, so you can't really compare the two. -
Trish as a heel, is it working for you?

Cause they can't book the women's divison, so it's all good vs all bad with somehow Stacy as the main threat to the title -

I just prefer Molly straightforwardness for her heel character. -
Evil Trish. I just can't get into this...the whole smug attitude and prissy laughing deal after everything she says just seems to come off more as awful acting rather than being a great heel. I think if they tone her down and just keep her promos and backstage bits overly simple she could make a decient heel. But right now I just cringe everytime she starts talking, it's just not that convincing.

I guess since I post here I'm considered a smark, but what they just did on RAW having a dozen or so babyfaces beat the hell out of Evolution just brings the mark out in me. Every week on RAW they put Evolution over on everyone with a million run ins, and hours of HHH promos...and for whatever reason all the good guys just let it slide. This angle's taken way too long to develope. If they do this right they can do some really good tv, if they can make sure the faces get their shots in, and keep Evolution stong at the same time, it could get pretty good. I just hope they don't go the NWO route and add 50 guys onto Evolution.

I love DOTD. I think it's just one of those movies you can sit back and enjoy without thinking about. Some movies are just fun, no deep meaning, no meaningful lesson learned. And I think it's looked at as the favorite cause it's the easiest situation to picture yourself in. Night...stuck in a house fighting off zombies, ouch. Day...stuck underground with pissed off scientists and soldiers, beh. Dawn...stuck inside a shopping mall with zombies...I think most people think they could pull that one off if they were stuck in the same situation. Plus it's a dated movie, back when it came out no one had seen anything like it before. 25 years from now kids will probably wonder why The Matrix was such a big deal. -
I've never seen Paths of Glory...and I think it's the same with most others. Everyone knows The Shinning and Full Metal Jacket though.

When Tommy Dreamer and Rob Van Dam did a run in durring a Mike Awesome/Lance Storm vs Kane/Somebody else match. Then Awesome, Storm, Dreamer, and Van Dam all beat down the others guys. Then Rhyno, Bubba, D-Von, Credible, Tazz, and Tajiri all face off with the 4 ECW guys. Then you realize "These guys are all ECW," then they do the slow turn and just beat the piss out of Kane and whoever the shit he was teaming with. Then Paul E jumps in the ring and ties it all together. That was maybe my favorite wrestling moment ever... Then they ruin it completly later in the show

Full Metal Jacket, closely followed by Clockwork. Truth is I didn't think much of Clockwork when I saw it 5 or 6 years ago, but I've seen it a couple of times since and it's really grown on me. And I think parts of 2001 are great, I love the story, but there are just too many "artsy" parts that just seemed to go on forever and bore me.

If you're going with shows from the 2004 TPI then the 3 best on the card were -CM Punk vs Austin Aries -Samoa Joe vs Strong -Jimmy Rave vs A.J. Styles The 3 way main event was alright, nothing great, and it took 3 times to get the finish right. Jacobs vs Delirious wasn't great. And Quack vs Hero was just too slow. And don't get me wrong, I like Chris Hero matches, but I just wanted to punch the few guys in front of me at the show just going on like idiots thinking it was the greatest match ever. Just slow slow slow chain wrestling and reversals. And for the IWA 6/19 show Delirious vs Sabin was the best on that card. And least we forget the 3 A.J. Styles vs Matt Sydal matches from IWA this year.

The Grudge: "Here it comes...get ready...almost...

I'll probably see it today or tomorrow...and the Ring was a severly overrated movie. -
Jack said he was a doctor when he asked the girl to stitch him up. And it was 48 survivors before the marshal/cop guy died

Showcase Cinema West (Flint, MI) Any show any day before 6 PM: $6.50 Any show after 6PM: $8.25 We had a $2.50 theatre...but now they're just as much and still show movies 3 months out of date. I go see more movies than I used to, basicaly cause I'm a mile and a half away from the theatre, so it's very convienent.

Guess who's joining the cast of "The Shield"?
Youth N Asia replied to JasonX's topic in Television & Film
The Shield's signed for another 2 seasons I believe. While I'm all for ending the show before it goes stale, they're 41 episodes in (15 in season 3) and they haven't hit a bad one yet (although some may argue "Day One"). I'm not at all worried about The Shield running out of ideas. -
Triple H in "Blade: Trinity," anyone else thinking
Youth N Asia replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
not to mention that Wesley Snipes is a bigger draw now then Van Dam was then. Although not by much. Oh yeah, and Jessica Biel isn't bad either -
Clownhouse, my favorite horror movie when I was a kid. Although it's very very hard to find now on video, and it was only released on DVD for about a minute, so it's expensive either way.

How does Athlon 3200 compare to a p4 2.8-3.2GHz?
Youth N Asia replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Technology
Price isn't really a huge issue for me. I'd rather pay more and get the better computer. I plan on buying a computer I'm going to keep a while. -
Alright, I'm in the market for a new computer, and I keep seeing Althon 3000s and 3200s. I really don't know what an Athlon is, but they carry a high price tag. I'm currently running on my HP 1.3 Intel Celeron, 256mb mem, 40gb hard drive. I'm looking to double my memory and hard drive, plus get a DVD burner, nice monitor, and a few other things... But I don't know much about the processors. So how does a Pentium 4 between 2.8 and 3.2 GHz compare to a Althon 3200? thanks
-
They're not even trying to do good shows anymore. And matches like Big Show vs Akio and Heidenreich Vs. Shannon Moore are just wastes of time. And is Booker a face now?

Frailty at Circuit City for $6.99 now

While I think he's great for Smallville, I don't know if he has the acting they need for a big budget movie like that
