Smackdown Spoilers for the 8/25 airing
haws bah gawd replied to BorneAgain's topic in The WWE Folder
I too have pondered this. All Chavo did was state the truth. Rey HAS been exploiting Eddie's memory ever since his death, and yet by WWE logic, CHAVO is the heel? Makes no sense to me. This show sounds awful. -
Augusta is about 20 minutes from where I am, so this is great news for me. There may be a hundred better places for the show to take place at, but we rarely see wrestling events around here anymore, and as far as I can remember, there has never been a PPV taped here either. I'll be there for sure.

The 'Rake hates mustard' skit was one of the funnier parts of the last movie, and I think it was a deleted scene as well. I cant wait for this. This has been a pretty good year for movies. Edit: Speaking of former Jackass cast members, whats going on with Steve-O and Pontius? Are they going to return for another season of Wildboyz, or is the show done? Also, any word if Wildboyz season 3 will ever make it to DVD?

If you can come across it, give 'Pyre of Gods' and 'I Rule' a listen. I believe they're off their most recent album, 'Suffer our Pleasure'.

I tech-supported Lajon's AOL when I worked for customer service about 5 years ago. Nice guy. I love the group. I was a little underwhelmed by their last album, mainly because their backup singer left to form Dark New Day. Seasons is my favorite album from them. There isn't a single boring or uninteresting song to be heard.

Can someone repost a link to the Scott Steiner Nitro Shoot? The link a couple pages back sends you to an Adbullah vs Sabu match.

I almost shit a brick when I opened my NES back in the day. I would never have spent $1000+ for this, but having this kid's 64 would be quite the little bragging right, since this video has achieved such notoriety.

I never read much about 93. Could you elaborate?

X3: Last Stand DVD Details and Covers
haws bah gawd replied to Yuna_Firerose's topic in Television & Film
This has to be a joke post. No one was expecting a Oscar caliber film, you nitwit.. but it was still fucking awful. Hey, fuck you ok. We can't all have the same taste in movies. I enjoyed it and can't wait to get the DVD. -
Well, if that IS a picture of him, fucker's put on some mass lately, and actually looks somewhat normal. He doesn't look like himself from from his old WWE, or even TNA days.

X3: Last Stand DVD Details and Covers
haws bah gawd replied to Yuna_Firerose's topic in Television & Film
I can say it wasn't fucking awful because I wasn't going in to this expecting an oscar-caliber film. I just wanted to see a super hero film, and have a good time, and I got what I paid for. I had been waiting for 3 years for Phoenix to make her film debut and fuck some shit up, and thats just what we got. Everyone, even Magneto was terrified of her because of how ungodly powerful she was. The only thing about this movie that I didn't like, and only because it had never been brought up in the other films, was "classing" the mutants. I believe Magneto and Charles were supposed to be ''Class 5", and Jean was supposed to be one step above them without the metal blocks that Charles placed on her mind as a child. -
I'm glad for Jeff, and I'm highly awaiting his return. Like others have said, I just hope that he has managed to get himself cleaned-up. My favorite match of his is still the near **** match he had with Jericho on RAW in late January/early February 2003. Either Jericho was doing one of the best carry-jobs of his career, or Hardy was unusually motivated that night, because it's definitely one of the bright spots for WWE in 2003. His ladder match with Undertaker in 2002 is also highly underrated. You could feel Hardy about to become World Champion, and there wasn't a person in the crowd sitting down when he nearly had the match won. Again, I'm glad to see him back and I hope he makes the most of this opportunity.

The Directors Cut DVD Discussion Thread
haws bah gawd replied to Lil' Bitch's topic in Television & Film
Anyone seen the 'extended cut' of Halloween? It was the original theatrical release with the tv-version scenes added-in. It adds a lot to Michael's backstory. It shows him as a child in the institution, and Loomis begging the head doctors to never let him out. There are some truly chilling scenes in it. -

I have to admit I had no problem with this movie. Oh no, Phoenix didn't have the same origins as the comic, GET THE FUCK OVER IT! When Jean cranked-up her powers, you knew shit was about to happen. Famke portrayed her psychopath character very well. I can't wait for this DVD. -
PICS WITH BOOT OFF NOW PLEASE!

If Oblivion Doesn't win for best video game score, then this network has officially gone to Hell. It had a foot in the door already, but that will be the boot that kicks it in.

Bullshit...without Pepsi Blue we would have never had the line: "...In a six, but its a BM and its Pepsi Blue" Yeah, thank God for that line. Anyone have memories of the Pepsi Blue marketing campaign that involved a little jingle performed by 311?

Just goes to show you that Steiner's muscles have gotten so developed, he can send you face-first into the mat with a mere flick of his fingers. Really though, the irish whip has to be, hands-down, the most business-exposing technique in wrestling history. I'll throw in the FU for honorable mention. Who would lay there, submissively across this guy's shoulders, while he plays to the crowd, knowing hes about to flip you to the mat?

You should see the safety training video that Kroger uses. One of the chapters is broken glass safety. During the segment, this guy pushes a jar of pickles from the shelf, which shammters. He then reaches down, grabs a handful of glass, squeezes the life out of the shards, and points his cut, bloody palm to the camera and says "OW......I.....cut....my..self?!".

Bite your tounge. Pepsi Blue was the best soda ever. I have to agree. I was one depressed fellow to see this stuff get discontinued.

OAO ECW on Sci-Fi Thread for 7/25 (Week 7)
haws bah gawd replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
Tonight was the first time for a couple of weeks that I haven't been outright pissed-off by what happened on the show. The main event was one of the best WWE brawls that I've seen this year. Show and Kane were really busting their asses tonight. I'm also pleased to see the return of Mordecai. I hope he has regained his confidence since his last run. I could've done without seeing him squash Little Guido in his first televised match, but Guido sold his offense well. Not to mention he did the best sell of the Razors Edge ever. Good show overall tonight. -
Kojo, to be honest with you, production errors such as that are of a niche fanbase. There are those out there who collect stuff like that, and will pay out the ass for it. More often than not however, its actually worth less than a non-error figure would be.

I checked it out last week before I left work. It's one of the best looking games on the 360, and controlls very well. My only complaint is some of the gravity-inverting gimmicks, and wall-walking will make you feel kind of ill if you're prone to motion sickness. I liked being able to bring myself back to life after I was killed by battling the dishonored dead in the afterlife.

Even though it wasn't the main event, in December 2004, WWE went ahead with a match and title switch involving Rey Mysterio and RVD vs Kenzo and Rene Dupree on the Smackdown before Armageddon. Even though it wasn't WWE, you can't go without acknowledging Luger winning the WCW belt from Hogan, 5 days before Road Wild. Easily one of the stupidest booking decisions in history.
