Trish should definitely get some sort of major send off. She's been a positive note on Raw for quite some time now, and a much much more active wrestler than Lita; although to be fair, Lita did break her neck IIRC. But Trish needs a big send off, a big match with Mickie James possibly in some sort of loser leaves WWE, hopefully in a sympathetic crowd like Toronto. Do it right!

So you see how that is LESS than giving you any sort of signifigant raise? Maybe snuffbox is right, wheres the retort to the enforced outsourcing dictated by Walmarts policies?

More to the point, that 8 hours x $6 per hour adds up to $50 a week get-fucked-up money each week. Unless your parents are giving you a fine allowance or something like that, don't you think you'll need SOME SORT of bank during the year? The only downside is three three hour shifts a week or two four hour shifts. MAYBE 12 hours a week tops. You realize how easy that is to fit into a schedule, right? Sure you'll bitch the one or two times your work conflicts with a party, especially if it means an early morning here and there. But, you know, it'll be worth it, really.

Believe me, I without a degreem, got the fine job I have now based SOLEY on my work experiance. Like Leena so rightly put it, everyone who's been to college knows what it takes and what it does not take to get a degree. A sincerely good recommendation and solid years of quality work ethic are worth so much...

Take the minimum amount of hours and get a severely part time job on campus. College can be excellent, just take it easy at first. You can always take summer or winter classes to make up for an easier freshman year.

Its not just that Walmart won't carry brands that cost a certain amount, its that they will insist that their suppliers cut costs. As previously stated (many times) Walmart is a race to the bottom, and the bottom invariably equals outsourcing. Where is the counter to that? Its in trying to keep Walmart out of your town, or at least in check.

The point is: Walmart has other alternatives, but Rubber Maid does not. And Walmart is just going to go with the company that manages to cut costs the most, no matter what they need to do to get there, be it produce everything in China or what have you.

Are people really trying to deny that they run other businesses out of town? Or that their market share isn't big enough to dramatically effect suppliers?
