  1. I'm still waiting for the admission of having a penis. Oh, and ...
  2. For the record, I am glad that he admitted to using PEDs, but I don't buy for a second that he didn't know what it was nor do I believe that he was only using from 2001-2003. Premier athletes stay ahead of the curve at all times when it comes to performance enhnacers. We all know how calculating A-Rod is, who's to say he hasn't stayed one step ahead this time? Also, he felt pressure being the man in Texas, but didn't in Seattle or New York? Why is that? You're telling me he didn't look for that extra spark in 2007 when he was facing free agency? Lots of gaps in logic with that confession despite what appeared to be remorse on his part.
  3. http://forums.thesmartmarks.com/index.php?showtopic=93849 Ridiculous as this was, I thought we didn't close NHB threads. I had my heart set on doing some mocking.
  4. Chris B. Young, OF - Looking sharp and ready to join the Stat Mongers.
  5. Not normally a C/P guy, but check out what espn.com has posted on their main page
  6. PECOTA's first stab at projected rankings came out today with the newest Depth Charts. Quick notes based on the projections: -Red Sox are projected to have the best record in baseball. Yanks, Sox and Rays are expected to be the three best teams in the American League. -AL Central and West will be dominated by mediocrity, with all five teams in the Central separated by less than ten games. White Sox are expected to fall off the map (74 wins) -The Angels are expected to fall hard as well (79 wins), but still compete in a shit division -Cubs projected at best in NL - expected to win division by 13 games -Braves are projected to bounce back and compete in NL East with Phils and Mets -Astros and Pirates are the worst teams in baseball by a considerable amount Projected Playoff Teams: Red Sox, Indians, A's, Yankees in AL; Mets, Cubs, D'backs, Braves in NL
  7. On the suggestion of Byron and Kamala, I picked up Pacific Ocean Blue (the original, not the remastered 2-disc edition). I found it quite fantastic. That said, I'm a total sucker for those coked-up '70s records with sweet harmonies over really heavy tunes (that comparison to On the Beach was surprisingly apt). Overall, I think it's superior to the group efforts of the Beach Boys, but as I've said before I don't find their stuff that intriguing outside of Pet Sounds.
  8. It doesn't matter to me. I was just throwing out a suggestion before anyone got in a tizzy over it.
  9. Not to be the turd in the punch bowl, but shouldn't this go in Draft Faggotry?
  10. At Home just owned everyone. You earned your stripes today, kid.
  11. TSM is trying to capture that all-important 8-year-old demographic.
  12. I can't believe no one picked up on VX's Eddie Murphy joke. That's one of the funniest bits from Raw.
  13. Was that today?
  14. Dominican*, they don't count! Close enough.
  15. Duh, he's black.
  16. I thought Brooklyn Zoo added him as a keeper.
  17. I've never heard this particular album, but I've never cared much for the solo output from Paul McCartney. Maybe it's because his stuff was released in the shadow of All Things Must Pass and Plastic Ono Band, two albums I hold in extremely high regard, but it all seems very punchless. As a solo artist he never seemed to recapture the spirit and adventure he brought to his Beatles work.
  18. Mid-Atlantic? They're showing Mid-Atlantic? Wow, I might need to fork over the ten bucks a month and just get 24/7 now. A couple of weeks ago they were having a free preview of the service and I'd say I watched about 12+ hours of old school wrestling. Great stuff.
  19. Sort of. I believe the song is called "If U Seek Amy", but the she says the chorus fast enough that it sounds like F U C K Me. Shitty song, but it'll probably be a huge hit like all her other crappy music.
  20. He drew a walk in nearly 38% of his plate appearances. That's just insane.
  21. The Spurs would have to trade like half of their team to make that work under the salary cap.
  22. The stache is heading back to the west coast. From espn.com That last sentence doesn't make much sense. Radmanovic is a better shooter than Morrison.
  23. From espn.com: Both coordinators gone. Warner, Edge and Boldin probably gone, too. Honeymoon's over in Arizona apparently.
