Hey kids, don't do drugs.

I took Sherrill six rounds ago.

In all honesty, I probably am more a Seahawks fan than a Raiders fan. I watch all their games on tv, usually head up to Seahawks Stadium once a year for a game and openly cheer for the team when doing so. But I'm one of those guys that's overly loyal to a fault. I won't admit to myself that I've given up on the Raiders and moved on. I'm one of those guys that thinks its sports blasphemy to switch allegiances.

Like the Raiders need another me-first shithead with a bad attitude and questionable work eithic. I don't care if he's a Pro Bowler; he has a bad attitude and the Atlanta organization was dying to get rid of him. The Raiders don't even need the help at corner either. How are the Raiders even under the salary cap right now? Seems like they've been throwing money at everyone this offseason.

Do all the blood vessels in your eyes burst when you vomit?

Oh, this happens to a buddy of mine from time to time. It even led to a bout of "raccoon eyes" at our college graduation after an episode of heavy drinking the night before. -
I had a brief conversation with Corey Dillon outside of a bar in downtown Seattle. He gave his umbrella to a homeless man.

Annie posted some news in the WWE folder. Her source: TaigaStar. Yes, you read that right. By the way, since many of you stay out of the WWE folder these days, let me tell you that the Truthiness is the worst poster on the board. -
Given Seattle's wretched highways, that would probably put him in Tacoma.

Oh, that's Beth's that serves the 12 egg omelette. My friends took me there one night after the bars and I attempted the 12 egger. It was not pretty. As far as things to see, Pike Place Market is a must. It's down on the waterfront. The first Starbuck's is across the street, but it's just a Starbucks. EMP (Experience Music Project) is the weird looking rock museum that Dandy referenced. It's adjacent to the Space Needle and well worth a visit. As far as modern ballparks are concerned, Safeco is among the best. Try to catch a game there, or at least watch it from Sluggers across the street. Too bad you're out of there the 9th. I'll be up the very next day.

I didn't mean to start all this. I just thought equating Oden with Johson was curious. Nothing more.
-
I sure hope he's a keeper, because he won't play for you this year. Yes, I'm well aware. He's my Greg Oden of the league. My team is pretty much chock full of prospects and young guys with a couple exceptions, since I figure that even if I don't do great this year, I have a lot of options for keepers and for doing great next year or the one after. Also see Chris Carpenter for another pitcher I took on as an injury risk. That's an odd comparison. Oden is one of the best young big men to enter the NBA in years and Josh Johson is, well, Josh Johnson. Maybe you know something that I don't.

Kyle Lohse signed a one-year deal with the Cardinals for $4-5 million. That's a good, low-cost acquisition for a team that has a questionable rotation heading into the season. I was really surprised that it took him this long to catch on somewhere. Unfortunately for Lohse, he caught this offseason's backlash from the ridiculous free agent market the previous winter (seriously if this guy was on the market last offseason wouldn't he have gotten $30-$40 mil?).

Well there are two reasons that I can see: 1. When Al declared that voting cease, Marvin was firmly in the lead (and some shady voting results happened thereafter) 2. This tournament transformed from fun little sideshow into a few posters' personal crusade to ban Marvin somewhere around the second round

I know that it was bascially decided months ago that the MVP would come from the group of Paul, Kobe and Lebron, but Houston's recent tear (coinciding with Yao's injury) might have propelled Tracy McGrady firmly into the conversation. Not that I necessarily believe that he belongs there, but I can see momentum shifting his way.

I know I wasn't talking about the WM match. I thought the conversation had moved to what to do with Show after WM. I didn't direct that towards you personally. People on these forums have suggesting those various names as better alternatives to Big Show, which I find ludicrous because it shows a fundamental misunderstanding about the appeal of Floyd Mayweather in a wrestling ring. I'm not trying to call anyone out here.
-
Even after their 20 game winning streak (seriously, 20 games(!)... that's insane), I'm just not buying Houston in the post-season. Maybe they finally get out of round one, but I'm not sold on their ability to get much farther that that.

He's good with the knuckleballl and is a minor defensive upgrade overall. He's decent on the basepaths (when he gets there) and he costs a little bit less money. So vis a vis Mirabelli, he's not much of a drop-off (which is more on an indication of how far Dougie has fallen off than anything else). There's no way that he sticks there long-term. Either they think Dusty Brown or George Kottaras (their two guys set for AAA) are ready, or they have a trade waiting in the wings.
-
The Red Sox released back-up cacher Doug Mirabelli today. For the time being that leaves Kevin Cash as the back-up. Cash is, unequivocally and without exaggeration, the worst hitter in all of major league baseball. He might be the worst in the last decade. His OPS+ last year was 4! 4! Think the sample size is too small? He has a career OPS+ of 26! He hit .176 in the minors last year.

Oh man, I loved Fat BUTT and Pancake Head. Yeah, the concept was stupid but some of it is gold. How could you not like "Taco flavored kisses"?

You know, even though this is Jeff's second official violation, you have to factor in that he already flamed out of the promotion once because of his excessive drug abuse. Hell, even TNA washed their hands of him. You can't simply suspend him for 60 days and then bring him back like nothing happened. He needs full treatment and an extended period of clean living thereafter. If he won't do that, fire him. It's pointless to spend any more time and energy on him in his current state.
-
Those of you who are suggesting that someone else would have been better in the role against Mayweather (MVP, Burke, Angle) are missing the whole point of this angle. The match is being sold on the spectacle of a 7' 450 pound man against the world's best boxer. They are selling the sideshow appeal of the encounter, not the wrestlers themselves. Big Show is the perfect wrestler for this role.

Is there anybody you like besides Louisville? I swear every post you have in here says that so and so team is a second round upset because they aren't that good (Georgetown, Tennessee, Pac-10 teams, etc.).
