A big playoff series between the Astros and the Phillies started last night. Didn't see it live, but saw the highlights and looked like a good game. Tonight it's R. Oswalt vs. J. Lieber.

As Barry Bonds joined his teammates for the first time in nearly three months, multiple sources have confirmed to ESPN's Pedro Gomez that Bonds' banishment to Los Angeles in late June was precipitated by a clubhouse fight with a teammate. A Giants player took offense to Harvey Shields, one of Bonds' personal trainers the team hired at Bonds' urging, while in the players' food room at SBC Park. Shortly after the unnamed Giants player and Shields exchanged words, Bonds sought out the player inside the clubhouse and had words. A scuffle ensued in which Bonds punched the player in the jaw, whereupon the player put Bonds in a headlock and retaliated. The two were separated by players and Giants personnel, though Bonds and the player have since made amends. Through a club spokesman, Bonds said, "I never had a problem with that player." http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2152696

That's a long time, though it ain't shit compared to Aaron Small. Oh and for the record, I still don't understand why no team can hit him. If he's so good why did it take him so long to get back in the league. Yankees catch too many breaks. I hate them.

OMG stop the presses; Griffey gets injured.

Chris Carpenter is better than you.

Shawn is everything Ric was in the ring and then a lot more. Even in his prime, could Flair have a match as good against 52 year old Hogan? Or how's about Sid? I doubt it. This board really hates Shawn however. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Slow down. I think they are about equal too, but Ric Flair would get the edge if there was a gun to my head based on the fact he's had so many classic matches with a variety of opponents. And yes, Ric Flair in his prime could indeed have a good match with 52 year old Hogan. For the record, that Shawn/Hogan match really wasn't that good...at all.
-
Eh. Really it's not that cut and dry. Every wrestling fan I know, personally, likes The Rock more than Austin.
-
Shawn is nowhere near "EQUAL" with ring work. He might be equal only in promo skills and that's a long shot to say Shawn was at Flair's level. Flair could cut a face and heel promo, Shawn's promo ability as a face was severely limited. Shawn's only advantage over Flair is Bump taking. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Shawn Michaels is notwhere near Ric Flair in promos. WTF? Shawn rarely ever cut a good promo in his entire career. Ric Flair is one of the best ever on the mic. And they are indeed equal or close to in the ring.
-
Flair's significantly better than Shawn Michaels at everything minus in ring work. In that department they are about equal, though Ric Flair has a much better catalogue of classic matches. Much better.
-
Without a doubt. The closest one is probably Shawn Michaels vs. Bret Hart but that's more of a Pro Wrestling thing. Andre vs. Hogan transcended the business.
-
No. But he isn't a rapper.

I'm in amazment of how atrocious a team the Royals are.
-
Watching the Braves play the Braves is just...strange.
-
Apparently the Cardinals and Pirates got into a brawl during BP today. And Dave Duncan punched the Pirates hitting coach and the police got involved.
-
I'd wish they'd add the Hart Foundation vs. Demolition and Bret and Owen vs. the Steiner brothers..
-
He probably started too late. But he's been tremendous. I'd still be a little concerned about him not knowing the strike zone that much cause coming into tonight he had not drawn a walk yet. Which is really surprising.

Mark Mulder Night: 13-1 1.94 ERA Day: 1-5 7.57 ERA

All the wrestlers (minus Goldberg) almost went to the hands with the Punk'D crew. Especially the Rock. He's huge compared to that dude he was going after.
-
Not sure if this has been posted...it's Mark Grace cursing live on the air http://www.12xu.net/audio/Gracie.mp3

Is this really surprising, since it was obvious they where building up for Brock-Berg at WMXX and this was there last chance for Brock to drop the title. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was more "I can't believe the really put the title on Eddie Guerrero". That was such a great moment. Cause every near fall for Eddie I was like "Yeah right, he wont win", then when he hit the frogsplash "I was waiting like...yeah. yeah...WTF?" lol

Ron Simmons winning the belt Vader beating Sting at GAB 1992 Michael P.S. Hayes beating Lex Luger for the US Title Kevin Nash beating Goldberg. I should've known. The Giant beating Ric Flair for the title on Nitro in 1996 ----------- The Quebeccers beating the Steiner Brothers (Regardless of the way it happened) Shawn Michaels beating the British Bulldog for the IC title on SNME 1992 Bret Hart winning the title at WM X. I definitely thought Luger was winning going in. Eddie Guerrero beating Brock Lesner Marty Janetty beating Shawn Michaels for the IC Title 1-2-3 Kid and Bob Holly winning the titles in the Tournament. I was like WTF?

Angles lose when Rodriguez misses a ball getting thrown back to the mound. lol

TO left Eagles camp. Apparently he got into a heated argument with Andy Reid and went home to Atlanta.

Great debut for Reyes. 6 and 1/3, 2 h, 2er, 5 ks

Cardinals top pitching prospect Anthony Reyes gets the start tonight. I never got to see him before tonight, and all I know is what I hear. I'm hearing good things about him, eventhough recently he's run into some trouble in Triple A. We'll see.
