Speaking of blatant nutshots, check out the Booker T/Scott Steiner US Title match at Spring Stampede '99. Steiner is beating on Book, then casually bounces off the ropes and delivers a kick to Booker's crotch, RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE REF. Steiner, then proceeds to give the ref a "What the fuck are you going to do about it?" look, before heading to the turnbuckle to flex for the crowd. That sequence became legendary among my friends. This is my favorite Scott Steiner match because he acts totally unstable, berating the front-row fans for a good 3 minutes before he even gets in the ring. He literally goes down the line, getting this woman to touch his muscles (while bitching out her boyfriend): You can totally hear Tony get a little nervous as Scott gets more and more agitated, especially when Scott swings at some fans. Then, when the match finally starts, Scott loses a lockup or something and gets slammed, then IMMEDIATELY goes outside and resumes bitching out some loudmouth fans.

I wonder how JR and HHH are getting along now that HHH has legit injured another WWE exec.
-
Masters also has time on his side...he just turned 22 so he's got 4-6 years to improve his game before we can really declare if he sucks or not.

Good to see the Superkick->Electric Chair Drop counter from the Rumble. Also, I like how no one mentions when Edge hits the Edge-O-Matic anymore.

Worst WWE Rewind ever. EDIT: Big Show in a handicap jobber squash? Welcome to Wrestling Challenge c. 1994! -
I didn't say that the signing of the PNAC was the start of the (hypothetical) conspiracy. Its elements had been in the works for years: This book written in 1996 explains the "shock and awe" strategy, for example.

Confirmed: Bret Hart Offered WWE 2006 Hall Of Fame

More often than not, the HOF is used by Vince to reward loyal workers with long careers, irrespective of their in-ring success. It's *his* HOF, after all. -
Could anyone create this conspiracy and set it up in 8 months? No. Could someone plan it for years before getting power and bring it to fruition in their first 8 months? Yes. Bear in mind that the PNAC was signed on 9/10/2000 by Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz. Many of the objectives espoused by the PNAC have indeed been met due to the world changes caused directly by 9/11. Mike, with the system set in place right now, the Republicans are in full control of all elected parts of the federal government. Since 2001, the main public agenda for the US government has been to protect America from terror. To that end, the government has been able to enact laws like PATRIOTs I and II (among countless other state/federal laws) which have provided them a greater degree of freedom in their operations while also freeing them from public scrutiny (because we're defending freedom, dammit!). The 9/11 Commission raised more questions than answers, the closer sharing of information between departments is not happening, the Osama bogeyman is still out there somewhere, the government can raise the terror alert level (and national fear) solely at their own discretion without answering to anyone. We're at war in what appears to be an endless struggle against a limitless number of faceless 'enemies of freedom' at home and abroad. This is a formula for Republican dominance.

Well, some people like to follow the psychology built in the first 50 minutes to see how it plays into the last 10 minutes. Also, to book a 2/3 Falls to go 60 minutes would IMO be ballsy unless you somehow prepared the fans by saying it was 'no time limit' or by having the announcers talk about how 'these guys might fight all night.' -
The Bank Shot with Bill Banks(some news and notes)

Because North American Title sounds gay. The NWA North American Title is held by JT Wolfen and defended almost exclusively in Wolfen's home territory of Hawa'ii. -

So if the office is pissed at one of the Heart Throbs, why did Regal/Tajiri give his partner a black eye? -
Straw-man argument. Is it not possible that Bush himself may not be all that smart but he is surrounded by some brilliant minds? Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz clearly know the score, having signed the PNAC declaration on 9/11/00. Let's face it: planned or not, 9/11 has provided Bush's presidency with a direction, provided the man himself with an image as a war president, and has ensured political wins for countless Republican officeholders at all levels of government who have taken up the causes of 'homeland security' for their constituencies. The 'war on terror' has provided Bush's administration with a way to improve the government's powers to spy on its citizens and to create a stronger Secret Service that is more trusted by Americans (in the name of the Department of Homeland Security). Terror is portrayed today as the Soviets were depicted during Reagan: an all-purpose, omnipotent bogeyman lurking in the shadows ready to strike at any given moment. It can only be combated through ill-defined 'resolve,' unceasing alertness, and strict toeing of the Republican party line. Only a traitor would do otherwise. Hmm, so Clinton was behind the OKC bombing using this logic? I mean, at the point of the bombing, Clinton was borderline impotent behind the Republican juggernaut that took over the Congress. Funny the massive turn in popularity he received following that. -=Mike ...See how easy moronic conspiracies are to spin? Not so. McVeigh was a white loner from the heartland, not a fearsome mastermind of an international terrorist network. He was caught quickly, tried, convicted, and executed. There were no threats of copycat bombings, no unifying calls for unbridled patriotism. Yes, Clinton got an incidental boost in popularity, but the OKC bombing didn't lead to a long-term foreign/domestic policy shift or a long reign of dominance by the Democrats.

Meaningless news, you might as well cite Wikipedia about this PPV.

I like how everything I've said has been no-sold.

They needed someone for Bumpy Knuckles to play.

I think "I'll Be There" from their Risk album could have been HUGE. Also, "Broken Wings" is Alter Bridge's current single (with video).

Yeah, I'd say the timecode at the bottom of the screen proves this is the rough cut.

Unless you were going by the name Justice aswell as Jingus, you didn't shred shit. I read the whole thread and i'm still leaning towards that it was in fact a plane. And thusly I appear! There's another one, a 7-pager I believe just before this that Jingus had more involvement in. And the idea that Bush somehow planned it in the, oh, 8 months he was in office is perhaps the dumbest thing I've ever heard. If he had this all planned so that he could go into Iraq, then why attack Afganistan first? For what reason, what logic? Because the Taliban was an easier target and Afghanistan a better base of Mideastern operations from which to move troops into the area? Also, if you're going by the 'everything from 9/11 on has been predetermined' route, then it would logically make sense to ravage Afghanistan and create more enemies, thereby further fueling insurgency and anti-American sentiment. Remember, the goal (according to this strategy) is for Republicans to gain political dominance by striking fear in the hearts of the American people by presenting a near-infinite number of bogeymen. To destabilize the region creates more people willing to fight the insurgency, which perpetuates the threat of terror, which keeps Bush's policies looking strong, which keeps Republicans in power. It's tough to be a war President if you have no enemies to fight.

They only did the Xian-Booker switch because of a legit back injury that Booker sustained in midmatch.

Are the SSEries the old CV edits? I know they cut the 20-man tag in half on CV; did they do the same here?
