  1. Sorry. It's for me. CanadianGuitarist probably wouldn't have fit into the topic title. And since I'm likely going to a poll, someone should work La Parka into the thread.

  3. Do the Devils still do likewise? Also, Matt Stairs has Stone Cold's theme play when he comes to the plate at Rogers Centre.

    That's fucking ridiculous.
  5. Eeeeee. That might be sound advice. I know he cheated on his wife dozens of times, and my opinion of him did drop a fair amount so far. Considering the tat I have on my left shoulder, maybe I'll skip this one, as interested as I am in his side of the story on a few things. Anyone read Jericho's yet?

I'll agree with the "If you've got it, use it". I really don't notice that much improvement as far as picture quality from my set-top box, but Rant was right about the upconverting DVD's, and I'd also like a few less wires and cables behind my television.
  7. I was thinking of picking it up with a gift card I received. I'm sort of timid about it, I'm worried that one of my idols is little more than a sleazebag.
  8. I've had to put "NO" next to every person on my phone to avoid drunk dialing.
  9. So we have three contenders so far: The Fish! (Danny Maff) 80's Guy! (Sideburnious) Ultimate Yeah-Uh! (Czech)
  10. I didn't mean to say you were singing their praises; I've been genetically wired to point out my hatred of Slush Puppies every time they're simply mentioned.
  11. That's no bargain. Slush Puppies are disgusting.
  12. Hard to believe he only ever got a companion to the Order of Canada. RIP Mr. Peterson.
  13. Addendum: While both were kinda rad, explanations/custom member titles if you may? Poll forthcoming.
  14. Hey, I just had a thought: coupled with the posting of The Ultimate Giant in General Wrestling's YouTube thread, could an Ultimate Yeah-Uh be far behind? Ladies and gentlemen, your earlier leader.
  15. Was that the newscast that had a car drive into it yesterday? I can't take any "Yeah-Uh's!" I was merely pointing out its history. What's next, a name change to CzechGuitarist?
  16. It's not bad whatsoever. What I meant was that if Sarah Silverman was the pot of gold at the end, maybe being likened to him wasn't all bad.
  17. Since Mike Weir's victory in the Fry's Electronics Open was now more than two months ago, it's time for a new avatar - he doesn't have the luxury of timeless appeal the way "Yeah-uh" does. So, I'm now taking suggestions for a replacement, to be revealed January 1! (Or sometime around there). Since Slayer's invariably going to suggest David Cross, I'll get the ball rolling: Edit: Is he dating Sarah Silverman? I may have to rethink things.
  18. I'd been meaning to ask that as well. Is every Blu Ray to be 1080p as well? Also, to carry on from the 360 add-on convo frome earlier: Is there such thing as a component-to-HDMI cable? I suppose I could just get the VGA cable, but, weighing my options at this point. By the way, Future Shop has a Boxing Day doorcrasher: HD-DVD with two free movies, and a send-away for five more for 100 dollars.
  19. Come on. That can't be real; Her screaming reminded me of
  20. Even though I'm shit this year, I'd like to thank KKK for running this show. I look forward to it each year, and I'm sure it's a considerable amount of work. Since you're likely going to call me a hippie anyway, I'll wish you Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas.
  21. I was the only one who voted for the carousel Shea park thing.
  22. Probably doesn't listen to much Trooper, Loverboy, or Glass Tiger. (Ryan Adams is a Canuck?)

I've probably lamented about this more than once, but screen size is pretty overrated. When I was in the market, I had my eye on 32", but wound up getting a 37", and it's often too much TV. Overrated might not be the right term, but I think there are a lot of factors that often go by the wayside instead. Despite sitting about eight feet away from his television, my stepdad sees no harm in watching a 63" screen, because "it was a good price for a screen that big". I told him that basing a price on size alone is like buying a car based entirely on year. I've been told that a good rule of thumb is measure the distance from where you sit to screen, and divide it by three. The result should be roughly the ideal screen size.
  24. Old wive's tale. I've been having a beer and four Advil after anything strenous for as long as I can remember.
  25. Loves this thread. (Good eyes, by the way).
