A Cena turn should be hinted and teased at before having the trigger pulled.

Am I the only one who went right to Ron Simmons versus Oz?
-
Is the 24/7 stuff acting sluggish for anyone else? I'm watching Savage vs. Roberts from TTIT, and it keeps stalling for some reason.
-
Make sure you're using Internet Explorer. I couldn't get it to work on Netscape. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I thought about that, but it still doesn't work in IE. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How far are you getting before it fucks up? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I do exactly what it says to do on the site, but after I've filled everything in it tells me to it says the password is not valid. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You have to make up your own password (must contain at least 1 number), and later it'll ask you for the Taboo Tuesday code. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Now that that is settled, I need to decide what to watch first. Suggestions?

I can't get the free month of 24/7 to work. What exactly do I need to do, because following the instructions on WWE.com doesn't work for me for some reason?
-
Vince and JR haven't always seen eye-to-eye, and Vince genuinely thinks that Ross is part of the reason as to why WWE isn't doing so well.
-
I emailed Meltzer about this, and this was his reply: Austin didn't just walk out over doing the job. He also wanted no part of burying his best friend. What Austin did was wrong, but totally understandable.
-
There has to be something more to this than just Austin refusing to lose to Coach. Was Austin beating Coach really something to let Austin walk out over? Why have Austin lose? Why not have Austin win and then have Mark Henry attack Austin after? They don't have to bring back JR right away. They can just bullshit there way through it like they've done with many storylines before. And if Batista does beat Coach, why could he beat Coach but Austin had to lose?
-
On the bright side, at least they aren't wasting Austin's return match on a PPV that will be lucky to get more than 200,000 buys.
-
At this point WWE are lucking into segments that are dead-on.
-
Which suggests that this was extremely short notice.

You do know that ***** means five stars and isn't a profanity in disguise, right?

Someone needs to call the WWE writing staff on their idiocy! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Like Mick Foley did a few years ago? Oh, you mean and actually keep their word? Never going to happen. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That too. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The only person I can think of that basically outright called WWE out on their stupidity and stick to it without completely burning bridges was Raven. If Raven called Vince up right now and said "I can get out of the contract with TNA, if you hire me", Vince would have a ticket waiting for him from Orlando to Hartford in an instant. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Only too stick it to TNA. Vince will take anyone back if it means sticking it to someone he hates even more than the guy coming back.
-
Austin walking out the day before the PPV was bad, but him losing his return match to Coachman of all people was just as bad. The fault isn't with Austin, though. The fault is with Vince for not agreeing with Austin on what was going to happen at the PPV before he started building towards it.

Let's be realistic here, How many people are asking for Vader DVD's? (esp, since WWE likely doesnt have much access to his japan work) I do believe WWE is really just creating it's own shoot video department where they either "praise/bury" past workers and slap their best/most famous matches on there as well. I wouldn't be surprised if they had a monthly "legends" dvd sooner or later. By next october, We could be following the amazing tales of Koko B. Ware and re-living his many classic matches. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I don't think Vader would be given a DVD, but they might do a special on 24/7 where they show the matches of his that they do have and have Vader introduce them or commentate on them.
-
Most likely. Vader isn't exactly working a whole lot, so it's not like he's got people knocking down his door to book him. He also signed a legends deal too, so they might use him again if they do a DVD deal or something.

The JR skit was the prime example. That was done because Vince wanted to tell the fans and Jim Ross that he thinks they have their head up their asses. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You would know: Is Goldust a one night deal to get killed by Big Dave, or could this be full time? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's probably like Viscera was, in that they'll bring him in as and when they come up with something for him to do.

They are purposely tanking both shows for whatever reason I can't quite fathom. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They aren't doing this on purpose. It's a combination of desperation and writing tv to get their jollies.

By the way, are you ever going to continue your NWA fantasy booking? I won't be continuing with that, no. However, I do have all the 1990 PPV results done, as they were finished before I decided to try and turn it into full fledged fantasy booking deal. If people are interested enough I'll post them up a show at a time, so you can at least see where I was going.

I'll still take a TNA crowd over a WWE crowd.

Best Random Incident Ever: Vince and Linda got divorced.

Sandman Sandman is a heck of a character, and when he could still go he was a really good brawler and was good enough that he could be carried to a decent regular style match. Now he’s just an entrance and a cane, as injuries have reduced him to a shell of his former self. I think he’d make a good addition to a booking committee or at least having some sort of role in creative. Mikey Whipwreck Mikey was better when he was playing the underdog role. He could do that better than just about anyone, thanks to his willingness to take insane abuse. However, after growing up he had to stand more on his own, and he wasn’t really able to get over as well. Had a good team with Tajiri, managed by James Mitchell, and I think as a unit they could have gone over really well in WWE with Paul Heyman behind them. Tajiri Tajiri is a really good worker, and it’s saddened to see a once great talent apparently deciding to leave the business altogether. For a guy with that level of talent, and who went through some really hard times in his personal life, he deserved more than the stereotypical bullshit from WWE. Saturn Saturn was a good worker at his peak, and while ‘only’ average after entering the WWF he still deserved more than that stupid mop angle. Kronus Kronus was riding on Saturn’s coattails. With Saturn gone, there was nothing for Kronus to do because you can’t really do much with the guy on his own. Steve Richards Stevie was a great talent who never got the kind of push he should have received. It’s a shame that he’ll be best remembered on the national stage as the founder of Right to Censor. I wonder what would have happened had he been able to accept the WWF offer he got in late 1997? Francine Eat something. For the love of God, eat something. Public Enemy PE was the best example of Paul Heyman’s ability to hide weaknesses and accentuate strengths. All PE could really do was bleed and use weapons, but Heyman was so good that he had Bischoff and McMahon thinking that they were one of the best teams in business. PE weren’t that bad, at least during their peak, but Heyman had people thinking they were far better than they actually were. New Jack Dynamite on the mic when you get him riled up, but there isn’t much to New Jack outside of weapons-based brawls. Then again, that is about the only reason you bring him in. Sabu Sabu was an innovator who was very unfortunate and he never got the break that someone of his talent and dedication deserved. Somewhat a Paul Heyman creation in that he was made to appear better than he actually was, Sabu still should have been able to get an extended run on the national stage during his prime. Still, at least he has the distinction of being the only wrestler in history to have to call up a 900 line to find out he was fired. Bischoff always was a gutless, lacking in balls and a dick pussy when it came firing people. Bill Alfonso A great Indy level manager, but Alfonso didn’t have what it took to make it on the major stage. Todd Gordon When the history of ECW is talked about, Gordon is shockingly overlooked a lot of the time. Todd founded the original ECW, and it was Todd who gave an unproven booking commodity in Paul Heyman the chance to revolutionize the business of professional wrestling. Paul Heyman Heyman has one of the best minds in wrestling. Heyman is one of the very best at hiding people’s strengths and presenting their strengths in the best way possible. Heyman is great at getting the most out of the least, and for all the good he is doing in OVW, Heyman would be best used in WWE, though that will never happen.
