One of my favorite things to have for breakfast, especially in the winter, is some kind of hot cereal. I consider myself an oatmail connoisseur. I was, however, shocked, to discover this new treat, which a coworker was nice enough to tell me about and buy me my first box: That's right, CoCo Wheats! They're delicious!

Slayer says otherwise.

I can handle the schlongs (lol) but these make me sick. Please stop posting them. For the children.

If you're talking about Technique, I'm pretty sure he's Peruvian. Edit: Yep: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Immortal_Technique Edit again: I guess he could be a Peruvian Jew.

He's Ted Kennedy's drinking pal. I will eat a live hedgehog if Dodd wins a single state primary or caucus.

Chicago requires big-box stores to pay 'living wage'

Also, this doesn't make any sense to me. Costco is basically just a big warehouse where you buy everything in bulk. I think he's saying that it's a supplier for small businesses and so forth as well as just a place where suburbanites buy groceries or whatever. Like instead of buying a little bag of Snickers Fun Size like they have at Walgreen's or whatever, you get the big box of Snickers bars that high school concession stands would buy. Also, you have to pay an annual membership fee, and it's not really just a nominal one, I don't think. I don't see how these differences between Costco and Wal-Mart would prevent Wal-Mart from providing its workers the type of pay & benefits (hell, even half of the pay & benefits) that Costco provides its workers. I guess I just wish more CEOs would recognize the benefit of a happy, healthy workforce the way Costco's does. From what I've read, Costco has a healthy profit margin, too. -
I hope this content is sufficient.

No, don't get a job unless you have to. Try to get a scholarship or mooch off your parents. And take the minimum number of hours you need for full-time status.

Neo-liberal Tom Friedman has become the poster boy for globalization and free trade. However, his NYT op-ed columns tend to suck nard, as do his books. But for some reason, wannabe pseudo-intellectuals tend to claim to just loooove his writing, as evidenced by all the pretentious folk who come in to buy his book at the store where I work. A new measure of time was recently created for Friedman, called, you guessed it, The Friedman. It's six months. Anyway, Freidman recently made a startling revelation on Tim Russert's show: http://alternet.org/blogs/video/39421/ WTF?!? The leading pro-globalization pundit doesn't even know what CAFTA stands for or what was in it?!? One of my favorite guys, David Sirota, absolutely ripped Friedman a new one. So here's a little cartoon in honor of Tom and his moustache:

Kentucky. I guess I just don't go to the grocery very much.

I was at a party that got broke up by 5-0 last night, too. The girl whose birthday it was actually got arrested, so that was kind of a bummer. This one guy I know brought his little brother who is like a 10th or 11th grader. He is probably going to be in the world history class that I teach next year, and here I am standing next to him drinking a 40 oz. beer.

That Dave Ramsey guy is alright. I'm thinking about buying one of his books to find out what to do with my considerable wealth.

? If you don't like a company, wouldn't you generally not want to own their stock? -
I like Michael "Savage" because "he" tells it "like" it is.

When I first did it, I didn't intend for it to turn out that way. But I do like the way it turned out.

At least subby went out with a bang. In a thread on the McRib. I think he would've wanted it that way.
