"Hollywood Preaches Anti-Piracy to Schools"
Jobber of the Week replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
But OMG BIG NUIZNESS IS TEH BADZ!@#()*! when it comes in during school hours and pre-empts science class to push their view. How would you like it if your kid said "Well, English was cancelled today because Pepsi came in and explained the meaning behind their new slogan." -
Of course, an opening FAUX NEWS LOL2003! It seems the days of someone from the police force coming in and talking to the school about something like bike safety has been replaced with representatives of millionaires coming in and telling us not to warez.
-
I thought they all agreed on the "Create an occupation force in every country around the world and then institute a Christian theocracy based on religious dogma" plan?!?! Spoiler (Highlight to Read): That's sarcasm.

College Student "tests" airline security

Unfortunately, PDF files seem to crash Mozilla. I'm just in general not that wild about monitoring people without their knowledge. -

I don't like the Patriot Act because it broadens the definition of terrorism to include shit that isn't terrorism. Some 15 year old using a web server exploit that System Admins are too lazy to check or patch to change some company's web page to read "U JUST GOT OWNED" for 5 hours before it gets reverted and the SysAdmin FINALLY patches the damn hole. That's not terrorism. -
A Jobber of the Week? Well, shit. I should sue for royalties.

And yet my Dad's job is being sent over there, under the impression violence won't spread that far. *sigh* Then again, maybe the guy's a nut, but I doubt anyone's going to bring a fight to him just because of that. Kim-Jong is far more threatening.

Appearantly so. Looking at the overrun, Goldberg is a champion that draws when he's getting his ass kicked all over the place. That's kind of what I figured.
-
Cmon, X-Pac... Let's go, X-Pac... All those conussions gotta catch up with you sometime.
-
Goldberg better find how to change his character for other promotions since other promotions are not going to change for his character the way WCW did.
-
WHY in the fucking hell did they cancel an entire show because one guy is out? Keep the show and BUILD to it, and use it as an oppertunity to make your guys shine.
-
I understand Austin drew Hogan-like levels years ago. But this is more like Hogan 1992. People stopped giving a crap. Get rid of him. Please. Even Ric Flair is doing more to help the show.

The One and Only I GOT WRESTLEMANIA TIX Thread

Old thread and a worthless bump. Someone put it out of it's misery, please. -
Parents and Husband battle for woman's life over
Jobber of the Week replied to Jobber of the Week's topic in Current Events
Well, again, power of attorney. Although really, with two kids this guy should have divorced this woman by now. He's living a real life incarnation of a Vince McMahon angle for god's sakes ("Make sure Linda doubles up on her medication!") -
I love how people talk about how sad they are that Nash's career "ended early" (LOL) but find it A-OK to joke about Scott Hall's addictions. Anyway, without The Hair[tm] the whole thing has lost it's touch. But still.. Only in wrestling, folks.

Don't even BEGIN to defend that. Defend the increased security measures and the running sense of fear at airports and the like if you must, but don't even start on that piece of shit. And jesus christ, I AGREE WITH THEMIKESC. I'm waiting for the pigs to go airborne now. -
NPR Ombudsman still getting flak from OReilly bit

........And this is the part where we all laugh..... Right? RIGHT!?!?!?! -
Well, she was asking for it, too...
Jobber of the Week replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in Current Events
That's still not nearly as funny as that CNN video the other night showing the insides of a school bus as it tips over on it's side. All the kids just suddently fly to the wall like a gigantic Kid Magnet had been turned on or something. -
Preorder now while that price is there, boys, I expect it'll go up. They KNOW it'll sell, they know they can milk you for more than that, and they WILL. That's, of course, if this happens. Remember that HHH VHS that was posted at Amazon for years and years and never came?

I guess he finally had to sell that fall from the bigscreen sooner or later. -
The only major label that has promised to keep it's new releases at $10 or less like iTunes does is Universal. Otherwise, buying the CD can get very expesnive. Did I mention that you can make as many CDs of these tracks as you want? I guess if you're fine with your 96-128K songs with mondo distortion and system beeps in them, then go on ahead. Damn commies.
-
I want to! I'm a quality nut, and these sound quite good. I also don't like risking lawsuits, no matter how unlikely they are to happen to me. Also, I don't mind supporting the actual artists. These are a cheaper than the CD copies in most cases, which makes me think a lot of the label bloat has been cut out. But, since I don't have infinite funds, I'll just buy whatever I have a hard time getting on Kazaa (many times a song will have 300 people sharing but it turns out the song is scrambled or has a fucking Windows system beep in it and appearantly nobody cares to get rid of it and get a real copy.) I'm not going to search to the ends of the earth for proper copies of music if I don't have to.
