  1. Somebody get Matt some Southern Comfort before he suggests more rape and torture.
  2. I think compared to most other "holidays" New Years is one of the better reasons. Thanksgiving? More of a bullshit holiday than New Years. Regardless, I'm suprised you people aren't celebrating. I'm going to do a bunch of drugs and have a blast with my friends.
  3. Its exactly like that kickboxing video, where the guy goes for a leg kick and breaks his shin off the other guy's leg.
  4. Matt drinks to make his girlfriend prettier...... usually ending with unconsciousness.
  5. I personally will be watching to see that fight.
  6. I found Fedor/Babalu pretty boring as well.
  7. Riggs seems like hype. Diego will dispose of him.
  8. So you guys are arguing about who is the whitest as if it is some sort of insult?
  9. I think undeniably Shogun Rua has had the best year. Beating tough competition. The next person to mention is GSP. He's been running a tear through anybody who is willing to face him. Although I'd say his opponents, while very talented, not the same level as Shogun's opponents. Now to add a certain different dimension to the arguement I'd say Joachim Hansen has been the most entertaining fighter this year with a a surprizing amount of FOTYCs... win or lose.
  10. The question is. Literal or figurative?
  11. Sure you can.
  12. Good point Rudo. I agree. I wouldn't consider entering into MMA competition until I understood from a boxing perspective and a Muay Thai perspective as well. It adds the dirty boxing elements such as clinching, elbow strikes, etc. That would be the bare bones to a decent MMA stand up game. I don't know what you would like to add on top of that though to round out your stand up. How about slick ground games? Freestyle Wrestling, Jiu-jitsu, would be the basics. Wrestling to learn how to fight from the top and jiu-jitsu to learn how to fight from the bottom.
  13. Muay Thai is helpful for training your elbow and knee strikes, as well as clinch fighting. Boxing is great for learning foot work. Learning to get angles or change angles on your opponent when throwing punchs or combonations. Slipping punchs, head movement. Its good to know, but in terms of MMA I'd rather train in Muay Thai..... but then again I have already trained in boxing. Taught me how to throw a proper punch, bob and weave.
  14. I have a similar problem with my alarm clock.
  15. I was blown away that I could pass her guard.
  16. Why don't we all just watch UWF-i. That's real pro wrestling because it looks like a real fight. Everything else isn't pro wrestling at all.
  17. UFC Beyond the Glory http://www.megaupload.com/?d=E2FX0TGD You're welcome.
  18. So I was drinking with my friends last night... and this girl I know is a jiu-jitsu blackbelt from Venesuela. So eventually we are talking and I claim that I can pass her guard. Not because I thought I could, but because she's good looking and also I wanted the challenge. I have no training in any martial art except boxing and I've watched a lot of MMA. So anyway I did end up passing her guard in about 30 seconds or less. She said she was impressed but she excused it because she was drunk. Nontheless I was totally stoked that I passed her guard and gained mount. But now I'm wondering if she just let me do it because she wanted me to "mount" her.
  19. ^^ He was saying later on in his WCW run.
  20. RUDO thank you very much. I really appreciate this opportunity to view some great MMA action.
  21. The reason why there are so many UFC "nuthuggers" is because most of us aren't able to easily access PRIDE media. Unlike UFC which is on virtually everytime you turn on SpikeTV. Now I wish this post would lead to a lot of full PRIDE matches being uploaded here.
  22. Just make sure 100% doesn't include betting money on him winning.
  23. As far as gimmick matches go 3-Way Dance! Hughes vs GSP vs BJ Penn! I figure a good standup would be a good defense against losing the first fall. All it takes is one guy to go for a take down and the extra man would probably end them with a RNC. Then we've got ourselves a one-on-one situation. Maybe making it triple threat rules would add some strategy to it.
  24. Oh hell yeah. I second the desire to see Tony Jaa vs. Jet Li
