I could've sworn I had this match somewhere. I found 3 other Kawada/Misawa matches but I didn't find the 94 encounter as discussed here.

Yeah that's understandible with sports, more so due to one being interlaced and the other progressive. But for the most part you would end up seeing compression artifacts before actual differences in scanlines at that level in your average television material.

Honestly I've never been a big fan of Kawada/Misawa's singles matches either. I'm not going to try and justify it with anything more than the fact that I just wasn't very entertained. I willing to upload some more of these classic matches if someone requests. Personally I'd love it if somebody uploaded the Atlantis vs Villano Mask vs Mask match.

Isn't this UHD getting a bit rediculous. How many more scanlines can we fit in until it doesn't even make a tangible difference to our limited human eyesight? The next wave of HD technology is gonna be putting surgical implants of hawk's eyes in your own so you can finally see the difference between 720p and 1080i.

Oh I agree it tells a great story.... and completely vicious. I was just thinking that I could've used a bit more variety of offence. But the offence that was present worked for what the match was.

I found the offense for the majority of the match kind of lame. Vicious but lame. Lots of punch, kick, bull.

Well, the positive side of that is that I'd rather see Brock Lesnar fight someone else anyway.

He usually recovers very well after getting rocked. I think it would just be a matter of time until he caught Fedor in some submission.

I just wanted to say that I watched Vitor Belfort vs Heath Herring recently and the judges decision was totally bullshit.

Its a real shame that he doesn't care that people out there are suffering terribly and they can't afford medical treatment just because they are poor. Poor people aren't real people, they don't have feelings. Lets all turn our backs and maybe they'll just go away.

I was reading an interview with Chuck Liddell on MMA Weekly and he mentioned something that I found interesting. When asked about who he would like to fight, he mentioned Wanderlei Silva, and he was asked if UFC could throw more money at him than Pride and his response was: "They don’t earn more than us now, I know guys out there and from what they tell me I know their not earning more – I think the UFC could afford him but I don’t know. " Is the UFC now the #1 MMA promotion in the world?

I'm surprised people wouldn't accept more taxes if it meant that everybody could afford medical care and better public education. A healthier and more educated society is a BETTER one. How could you not want that?

And the differences between 1080i and 1080p are miniscule; the differences are too hard to determine for most consumers; 1080p is a niche market. The sweet spot is 720p. But you know what? the real question is will your TV be able to run 1080p?" The idea is that 1080 refers to scanlines. The more scanlines (more than 720p) the better the visuals look. If it is interlaced like 1080i than only half of the scanlines at any given time are being shown (half of 1080). If it is progressive than all scanlines are shown at all times as is the case for 1080p. BUT 720p is considered the best because it shows more scanlines at any given time than 1080i. But 1080p is subjectively the best. The problem is almost NOBODY's television can display 1080p. Even if you get a 1080p signal most likely your television will downgrade it to probably 720p. This is also just semantics. The human eye can't even tell the difference between 720p and 1080p.
