So I have a pretty tedious job where I sit down and process payments all day. I used to get by on talk radio, but all the shows I am interested have either been taken off in my area or are on when I am not at work anyway. The radio gets stale after about fifteen minutes. I just have an ipod nano, but it can still fit some podcasts on there. I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for some good podcasts out there. I am pretty open to the subject material. Thanks.

I really enjoy Top Chef. I remember back in my late teen years I worked some this chick that loved Emeril. Back then he wasn't even a star yet, he just had your typical small kitchen setup in front of a camera. Then one day I turn on food network and the guy has a live audience and a band...haha I like Diners Drive-Ins & Dives I used to watch $40 dollars a day

I have a simple Weber charcoal grill. It works like a charm and will accompany me to the tailgate of the Redskins/49ers game later this season.

It looks absolutely fantastic, but I have had high hopes for movie-based games that look very pretty before, only to be dissapointed when I actually got around to playing them. Lets hope this game sets the bar for the way movie-based games are done.

I don't think it's quite fair to say the Redskins are fading just yet, I mean their last three losses have been to the Giants, Cowboys, & Steelers, and while the Ravens defense is going to probably lay down the hammer against the Redskins garbage O-line, I don't see a rookie QB having too much good fortune against the Redskins defense either. We could be looking at 0-0 at halftime. Unfortunately I think the Redskins suck at primetime games far more then the Ravens do.

Anyone feeling like re-upping the Raven Secrets of the ring shoot series? I have a new desk job and could use these to make the work day go by faster.

Competition is good. Good Competition is better. Lets hope they turn it around somehow. -
I just found out that chud.com does podcasts. I am gonna check them out too. Now if only I can remember to get my nano out of the other car before my wife goes to work in the morning dammit.

The best part of that entire match was when Hogan comes out, and the fans are cheering like crazy cause their hero has come to save the day......and we get the following color commentary Tony Schivone: "Here he comes, Hogan is here" Bobby Heenan: "BUT WHO's SIDE IS HE ON" ? Tony Schivone: "Ack, erm...whaaat are you talking about" ? *dead air* Bobby Heenan basically gave away the heel turn to the TV audience. It was hilarious.

The US Economy and Current Financial Crisis
NoCalMike replied to Cheech Tremendous's topic in Current Events
My proof of how awful the economy is: Marvin was spending black friday walking around looking dropped money on the sidewalk. -
Is your avatar art from "The Walking Dead" series? I love that graphic novel series. I have Book 1,2,3 and Book 4 should be on the way in the mail.

How is it? I was going to get it but I went with World at War instead. I still might pick it up though eventually....I liked the first one, even though it started a little slow.

Shit I am having router issues with my Linksys WTR45G or whatever the fuck it's called. I have it rigged enough to where the internet works and the PS3 works online, however I think the main input(where my SBC DSL is supposed be plugged in) is fried or something because if I plug it in there(where its supposed to be) no internet connection. However if i incorrectly plug it into one of the numbered slots(meant for devices such as PS3, wii, whatever else) it works fine. I have tried uninstalling, re-installing, resetting the router a hundred times, but the software never acknowledges an internet connection even though I am using the internet just fine. When I first got this router last winter, everything worked fine the way it was supposed to. Then one day the network randomly went down, and ever since then I have to have it rigged the way I explained above, or it won't work. I think when I have some extra cash I am just going to buy another router and try all over again.

While the Giants don't yet have enough hardware to be compared to the Patriots dynasty of the a few years ago, they are certainly making an early case that they will be the next potential dynasty the way they can just plug players into their system and they are instantly contributing and being effective. As a Skins fan it kind of makes me sick that we draft two pretty good prospects at WR, and one can't get/stay healthy and the other can't "learn the offense" yet the Giants top WR doesn't play yet has whats-his-name #1 & #2 getting open all game long against a pretty stout secondary.
-
So the Giants/Redskins game goes about the same as the first one did. Giants dominate big early, get out to a nice lead. Redskins show some type of life to make the game close, but ultimately can't do anything worth of note, besides a good play here and a good play there, and lose. UGH. I think it might be time to just let Portis rest and get healthy. I understand why he wants to play and why the team wants him to play, but it isn't worth it. The Redskins will likely miss the playoffs, but they are still alive and I would rather have him able to play in a wildcard game then right now.

I wouldn't say the Cowboys losing the to the Giants in 2007 playoffs was a choke job. If anything it was more of a Cowboys pattern that they has shown once December(and beyond) football starts. Look at their record down the stretch as a team once Phillips was made head coach. Messing up the hold for an extra point is a lot more fluky/chokekob then throwing an INT though. The INT to end the game had just as much to do with the Giants making a good play on defense, yet the handling on the extra point was 100% on Romo. Also, it kinda bugs me that the media has been slobbering over Romo so much about how now that he is back everything is fine and back to normal, yet out of the Cowboys four losses, two of them took place when Romo was the healthy starter. Yet somehow they act like the Cowboys were just this unstoppable force until Romo went down with an injury. Don't get me wrong, he does make a big difference on offense, but to act like the Cowboys didn't have other aspects to be worried about other than the QB position, is just being blind.

TV Characters that went from kind of dumb

I don't even think Homer was that stupid in Season 1. He was more of the over-bearing overreacting dad. Then he evolved into an uber-idiot. -
Heavy Metal and subgenre description

Would you say "Black No. 1" by Type O Negative is a good example of Doom Metal? And didn't Tori Amos do a cover of Slayer's Raining Blood? -

I am trying to figure out Ellis. Is he on the side of the Connor's and just trying to get as much inside info he can from Shirley Manson in order to get the info back to the Connors? I don't think so cause you'd think he would have told all of them about her in the first place.

So who is that one lady that knows Sam. Is she another shape shifter? It looked like in the scene with her and the pig, maybe she was trying to shape shift or something.
