So I picked it up a couple of days ago. As predicted, it's pretty much the same concept as Rock Band. The drumming takes a bit to get used to because of the way the symbols are elevated. So when the icons come rolling down the screen, sometimes you get caught up hitting the wrong drum pad by habit of playing on Rock Band's drums. I never had rock band, only played it a few times on a friend's system so the adjustment time was probably less for me. I haven't tried the recording studio yet, it looks cool though. The touch-pad on the new guitars is a cool feature, but it will take some time to get comfortable using it. I am very happy with the game so far.

I think the whole "Socialist" cry from the Campaign of McCain is just a cry of desperation. If all Obama is doing is looking to restore tax rates to what they were before Bush slashed them on the wealthy, basically to restore them to what they were under Clinton then I really don't see the problem. Last time I checked Rich people who owned businesses were doing just fine in the 1990s. I think the McCain campaign is just stuck on the "spreading the wealth" comment and using it out of context, because they don't follow it up by actually explaining what Obama says he plans to do. Instead they just start to going into hyper overdrive about soclalism and the like. If McCain were ahead in the polls, I doubt we would have ever heard the word "Socialism" from his campaign. It's desperation, plain and simple.

Cobbler is usually the overlooked or forgotten concoction when people are talking about "Cake v. Pie" Cobbler is a better version of pie to me. You get all the ingredients of a pie in it, but since everything is mixed together, none of the crust is dried. Nothing like a scoop of vanilla over a warm dish of cobbler. Cherry & Peach are my personal favs.

I went to the Sacramento one for the second time a few weeks ago. The place never gets old. The Meat is fantastic, from the grilled sirloin to the bacon-wrapped chicken, and parmesean crusted pork. I also think some of the dishes in the salad bar are overlooked, they are pretty damn good too. Oh and not sure if all of them offer this, but the one here serves up grilled pineapple with some cinnamon to "cleanse" your pallet for more meat....it is very tasty for something so simple.

Not suprising..... Christian right intensifies attacks on Obama

Gamestop and left a message that said they will be getting in GH World Tour in Sunday morning.......NICE!!!

Well to me it's just funny because the guy was obviously just making up a hypothetical scenario, and he just by "coincidence" threw out the amount of "250,000" just to stick it to Obama. Now, I have no problem with the question itself being asked because it is a valid question and I am sure there are plenty of people legit in that salary range with a small business, but for the GOP to keep referencing this specific guy when he was obviously a fraud is amusing.

WWE To Now Exclusively Call Their Talent "Entertainers"

*just when I thought I might be about to start giving them another chance* -
Another season, another Junie. The typical disrespectful "I'm tougher than you because I walk around and act like an asshole, and taunt people and try to bait them into doing stupid things, and your just a big pussy because you won't do something stupid and fight me right now and get kicked off the show, yet when it finally comes to my fight, I look average as average can get" club level fighter. And oh, hey look, he has a grenade tatted on his hand....NOOOO WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY. Dude, your on TUF, not UFC 90. Get some fucking perspective and STFU until you do something significant in the sport.

I haven't done it yet, but I think I will this year. I might watch it like this Monday - Saw Tuesday - Saw 2 Wednesday - Saw 3 Thursday Saw - 4 Friday - Saw V

It's kind of a tame-ish shoot, even by playboy's standards....has a "hurry up and cut me a check so I can get the hell outta this photoshoot" vibe. She is pretty though, always refreshing to see something other then the standard big fake-breasted, bleach-blonde hair chick.

I hate "who is currently the best team discussions" regarding the NFL, because with only 16 games, the season is so short that a single bad week can make people start talking crazy. If anything I'd wait until at least mid-way through November(If not DECEMBER) and see where all the teams stand by then. At least by then, some teams will be eliminated from playoff contention, while others are fighting for homefield advantage, byes, etc etc....right now, in most divisions, no team is an upset or two away from going from 1st - 3rd or better/worse. Teams have bad weeks, teams sleepwalk through games sometimes. Is it an excuse? Sure, but it happens and everyone knows it. There is a reason teams hardly ever go 16-0, 15-1, hell 14-2 is barely achieved, (Yes I know some of these have happened on occassion). Add to that, the fact that most teams are one key injury or two away from being a very different team.

Is there an official trailer for this yet?

Skins avoid the loss, thankfully. At 14-3, after stopping Cleveland at the goaline on 4th down, Portis rips off a run that goes for about 25 yards, but ends in a fumble when the cornerback makes a good swat from behind...... If the Skins continue to play close games like this against "bad" teams, they better start protecting the ball better.

Whatever happened to the "What are you listening to RIGHT NOW?" thread? Ok well, for me anyway.... Type O' Negative - Black No. 1

I've been watching this show too since the first episode. It's pretty cool, and is progressing nicely. I hope it gets a 2nd season because it seems like HBO Shows have a habit of really bringing the workrate in season 2.

1) Not the trade itself, but for what they gave up yes. I think the detail the Cowboys organization doesn't want to let out of the bag is that Owens inability to get off the line against physical corners this early in the season is also part of the reason the trade happened. They think they can groom Roy Williams into the #1 WR and Owens will be cut after next year 1a) Yes. Well sort of. Pac Man was never more then an average CB to begin with. He is a dangerous punt returner but that isn't why the Cowboys signed him. I think it is kind of hilarious that when the the Titans released him, it was hailed as a smart decision, yet as soon as the Star Helmet goes on his head, people start gushing over Pac Man like he was anything more then average anyway. 1b) No, well NOW Romo might not be out at all. Of course he could fuck up his finger even more, doing so against a team that the Cowboys should beat with ME at QB. I understand Romo wanting to play, but if anything take at least ONE WEEK off, against the Rams.

I have never heard his radio show, so I can only comment on his TV show, but to me he comes off as a total D-bag. One second it's "OMG This government, it's both sides" then the very next segment it's "Democrats are communists, YES, I SAID IT" Then the fact that he forms an opinion and then brings on 2-3 guests that are in agreement with him and they have a circle jerk. Hell O'Reily at least brings on someone he disagrees with, even if he does just shout over the guest & cut their mic off if they make a valid counterpoint. I just think he is very disingenious about the way he goes about his "I'm looking out for the people" schtick.

You have to wonder Dana is clamouring for someone to beat Anderson Silva so he can get the MW belt on someone more marketable to the american audience. Not that I think it is right, cause as an MMA fan I think Anderson Silva is a beast and I gladly tune in and pay to see him destroy people, but he doesn't seem to have much of a following besides MMA enthusiasts. That could always change though.....I suppose.

Can it be much worse then the Conservative SuperMajority that ran this country after 2000? The reality is the only reason this so-called "liberal" supermajority has a chance of happening is because of the shitty job the conservative super majority did while holding control of all branches of government. If the last two years are a referendum on the Democrats, then it is merely becaue of their inability to make any in-roads to change any type of direction the Conservative Super Majority had set in motion for the previous six years. They buckled on issue, after issue, which they should be rightly blamed for, but it's not like they put all these "evil" policies into place in the last two years. It's not like the Dems winning big in 2006 suddenly turned a fruitful 2000-2006 into a nightmare, it is the fact that they could do little to stop the ball(s) that had already been set in motion.

MMA Comments that Don't Warrant a Thread
NoCalMike replied to RavishingRickRudo's topic in Mixed Martial Arts
It seems like the nature of this sport is for guys to lose when no one expects them to, and not always against someone viewed as their "toughest competition" I don't see Cote being the one to dethrone Anderson Silva, but if Anderson decides to stay put at 205 for awhile, I would not be suprised at all to see him lose sometime in his next few fights. -
Or paying for The Occupation in Iraq(which all signs are pointing to turning into Afganistan as well in the near future). I think when Joe Biden said it is "patriotic" to pay your taxes, he should have mentioned that we sort of have this War going in in the middle east region that shows no signs of ending, and it has to be paid for somehow, and it doesn't help when a lot of corporations are using tax loopholes to get out of helping pay their fair share, not to mention the defense contractors who are probably coming out of this whole thing in a pretty sweet position. If Me, you, and "Joe The Plumber" are going to be asked to help pay for the war through taxes, so should WalMart Corp. It's funny how people claim that it is going to be so dangerous to raise taxes under the current economic conditions, yet they had no problem slashing the taxes as our country was preparing for a long drawn out war, which was an uprecidented move. and if I remember correctly McCain was actually AGAINST said tax cuts initially, until he figured he would have to "fire up the base" and he did a total 180 and now there isn't a single tax he sees that shouldn't be cut. That crafty McCain.
-
So what about Dan, Sam, Charles, the other plumbers, that make under 250,000 in their plumbing businesses. They would probably benefit a lot from Obama's plan. Our tax system goes as follows, "the more you earn, the more you pay" That's the way it has been for a long time, it's not a liberal or conservative philosophy, it's the tax code. If you want to argue that we should change the tax code then fine, try to drum up support for it through legislation and get it changed, but don't complain about it and just demand tax cuts. By the way, haven't we, for the last eight years basically lived under the "trickle-down" philosophy via George W. Bush tax cuts? Where has that gotten us? So what exactly is McCain's answer? That Bush didn't give ENOUGH tax cuts to the wealthy?

My Skins signed Alexander to a one year deal. I have no idea what to think because I haven't seen Alexander play in awhile. It will be interesting to see if he is merely a stop-gap fill-in for Betts and once Betts is back, Alexander is just cut. Of course if he goes out and shocks people, then it will be more interesting to see what happens, but as far as I know the Skins are perfectly happy with the Portis/Betts combo.

Vitali actually looked more technically sound then I have seen him be in quite some time. He basically pounded on Peter for 8 rounds, and Peter just gave up on his stool. It was quite the impressive performance. So the only question now is......what's it gonna take to get the brothers to fight each other?
