My response to this thread is basically "So what else is new!?!" If it isn't, or should I say, if it HASN'T BEEN obvious SINCE his Inaguration in 2000, that Bush refutes any science that would "hurt" big buisness, I don't know what is.

For me it has to be baseball. I have been to NBA/MLB/NFL games before, and although Football is probably the most INTENSE type of crowd I have been a part of, to me there is something special about the calmness and anticipation of a MLB crowd waiting for a reason to explode. Also for me, you have a lot less run-ins with idiots that are there just to get as drunk as possible and pick fights, like NFL games. Don't get wrong, I still love going to NFL games live, but MLB holds a special spot at the top of the list. Oh another thing is, I think MLB games are also the easiest to follow live, for obvious reasons.

Well in reality, the the lifestyle of healthy eating does BEGIN at home, however with today's economy and both parents working, I think they are counting somewhat on the schools to feed their kids something DECENT.

I thought they only blacked them out if they were otherwise airing them on a local affiliate....am I wrong? I mean I don't even see it listed as one of the games on my guide. It would be one thing if it was listed, and when I tried to turn it on it gave me the blackout msg, but it's not even there on the guide

Ugh, A's down 4-0 already!?! Their offense just isn't ever good enough in April or May to get down by so much so early.....

Can someone tell me why the Yankees/A's game isn't being aired tonight on the MLB Extra Innings package? (Oh and for those that don't know there is a free preview of it for I think the first 2 weeks of the season)

A's offense better do something tonight. I don't even care if they lose as long as it is something like a 6-5 game, but I can hardly stand to witness the offense be so horrible two nights in a row. Oh how different the past few A's seasons would have been if their bats woke up BEFORE the All-Star break.

To NCM: If the middle class goes, so goes America. Thus, its in the interest of this so called oligarchy to ensure the middle class stays fat and happy and complacent, which is what's going on right now anyways. I would hardly call America an Oligarchy though. Upward mobility is still able to happen to all but the poorest, and hell, even the hispanic immigrants are showing the ability to move from poorhouse to middle class house in 1 generation. The problem is that people like you expect change NOW, when its a gradual process. And when change is made to happen NOW, that process is subverted, and everyone suffers in the end. No, there was change. The middle class was expanding. Then Reagan decided Amnesty was a good idea, at a time there were a few million immigrants. Conservative economics aka Cheap Labor at all costs type thinking, reversed the progress that was being made. Corporate Politics, Send the Manufacturing OUT OF THE COUNTRY, and IMPORT the cheap labor.

I hate the fact that she even brings up the race issue in this because once again the meat of the issue will be deluded if not ignored. The lady went around the security check point that EVERYONE IS SUPPOSED TO GO THROUGH, not only that but she did without having identification. What makes her so special that she didn't have go through this procedure?

Anyone have a weather update from Oakland? I am sitting here bored in a class that I am ready to just drop, and the only reason I am here is because I figured the A's game was going to get rained out since it has been raining non-stop unlike On & Off the way it was yesterday. I only hope the weather is a bit dryer in Oakland. If the game is ON, I am sooooo outta here.
