Bush and his fucking signing statements. Just like the one on the McCain torture bill and how he signed it with "Sure I won't torture................unless I feel it is necessary."

Well hell I went to a school where most of the kids PAID FOR THIS JUNK. The only way things will change is when lobbyists don't matter anymore. I mean basically they just want the kids hooked on high-fructose corn syrup and other fatty sugars in time for adulthood. It is rather disgusting when you think about it.

I don't think anyone who is familiar with Fit Finlay's work through the years is doubting his ability at all, however this is WWE, and the best we can honestly hope for a guy like Finlay is to keep his match-per-week Smackdown status.

http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-pr...-home-headlines Looking at the massive amount of people. I think it would be pretty hilarious if they stormed Michael Savage's studio after he referred to them as "Rotten Bum Illegals" just to see the look on his face.

The problem with most immigration measures is it is always designed to hurt the individual and not the people who use them and employ them. Like this new legislation wants it to be OKAY to arrest a priest or rabbi for not turning away an illegal alien from aid, however at the same time, won't do anything to Wal-Mart for employing them, and even if it CLAIMS to, I am sure there are going to be Corporate loopholes for them to get out of fines or punishment. As liberal as I am, I do believe immigration is out of control in certain aspects, but in order to solve the problem or even beging to solve the problem we have to look at the bigger picture of what is going on.

Quick Update: I bought me a powered Sub. Yeah!!! Everything is working fine now. GO ME!!
-
Well I asked some guys from another board, and it looks like I need a Powered Sub because the Sub I have came with an old Receiver that powered the Sub, and I need a Powered Subwoofer that has it's own power adapter and such, and even if I spliced the right connecter and plugged it in, there would be no sound because there is nothing powering the sub.

Atheists identified as America’s most distrusted minority
NoCalMike replied to Dimensions's topic in General Chat
The problem with this study is the fact that so many are willing to lie and say they "believe in god" just to be part of the norm. Or, they technically believe in "god" because they learned from childhood they were supposed to, so they just do but don't follow religion. I just personally find it kind of dishonest the way a ton of people "believe in god" in order to fall in with the majority of like-minded individuals, but don't follow religion or have any beliefs to support their believing in god. -
So I bought a new A/V Receiver, a pretty nice Sony Model. My dilemma is, the receiver has a Subwoofer port that takes the RCA Cable, (The metal connector that looks similar to a headphone jack) and the Subwoofer that I have in my set is the kind that has the standard positive/negative two wire connector. Now, currently just so I can have it working, I plugged the Sub wire into the "Rear Center" port, and it seems to be working ok, but I really want to have the Subwoofer plugged into the Subwoofer port because when I use DTS/DTS-ES it doesn't pick up that the Woofer is plugged into a different place(although it works fine for Dolby Surround-EX and 5.1, it is just DTS that gets confused) So my question is, is it possible to go buy a standard rca plug and splice it with the positive/negative connector, or is the only solution to this, buying another Subwoofer that has the right connector already built in? Thanks Guys.

I missed it, how about a recap. Threads like these make me miss the hell out of USA Network's Tuesday Night Fights.

I remember when I went to see the remake of "Psycho" during the scene where Vince Vaughn was spying on Anne Heche through the wall and he was masturbating, as soon as he finished, some dude about 4 rows from the back yelled...."ewww he got it all over the owl" The theater roared in laughter.

I don't see why people like the last 10 years of the RW better then the first three seasons. For the last 10 years you could have inter-changed any of the casts with any other cast and it would produce the same thing. Young, attractive people, supplied with alcohol = drama. I mean don't get me wrong, I still watch the show and enjoy it to a certain extent, but there is nothing groundbreaking about a chick drinking and dialing to her BF 1000 miles away, barely being able to keep her relationship together. It has been the same fucking story for the last 10+ years of the show. The first three seasons on the other hand were actually about different kinds of folks, that weren't all into the same hobbies/social groups etc....who all had seperate lives, and what it would be like to throw them together in the same house. Now it seems like half of the people are only on Real World because they want to be actors/actresses, and hope RW is a launching point.......or......actually auditioned already for a real acting gig, were laughed out of the building and told to go try out for the RW.

I missed the WR debate a couple of pages ago in this thread, but as a Redskins fan, let me tell you something else about Santana Moss that I didn't know before last season, that makes him a Top WR. His ability to adjust to poorly thrown balls. I can't count how many times last season that Brunell underthrew him, threw to his wrong shoulder etc....but Moss had the coordination to either adjust his speed or adjust his route, come down with the ball and then somehow manage to get a lot of YAC. Not to mention the catch in the Playoffs vs. Seattle that bounced off of a defenders helmet, and Moss held onto the catch. As far as TO goes. His ability is top notch, no doubt. however he is a lockerroom cancer. He didn't do squat vs. The Redskins D as an Eagle, and assuming Sean Taylor gets through his court business without having to do any time, then it is safe to say the Skins secondary is better now then the last couple of years, so I am not worried about TO/Glenn/Crayton. I am sure the same script will play out this season. The Cowboys will start out 3-0 or 4-0. TO will have had huge games in each game. The TO signing will be hailed a success. Then in a tough game against a good defense, a crucial 3rd down will come up late in the game, and Bledsoe will revert to being Drew Bledsore and horribly overthrow the ball, or one-hop skip it to TO, and the walls will come crumbling down. I can't wait for the 10000 camera shots to the sideline of TO jawing into Bledsoe's ear.

As far as the show goes. WM usually delivers on some level, even when the card isn't good on paper. And yes I am ordering it because as you can see from this thread, I am hosting a WM "party" Cena vs. Triple H has me pretty much interested in only the ending because I am interested to see how the crowd reacts to either a NON-over guy retaining the title, or some guy no one wants to be champ again, getting the belt. MITB - For the love of gawd, Don't let Ric Flair win this.

Fine with me. Just let me know the Saturday before the show so I know what liquor to get. I know it still looks like we have a ton, but a lot of those bottles are actually empty and we just haven't thrown them out. I know we still have a ton of tequilla and vodka, other then that I am not sure. Bring a bottle of something. Of Course if you are talking about beer, I usually have some in the fridge at all times. I believe I have a 12-pack of Hef in there right now waiting for WM.

"Just One of the Guys" is one of my all time "Hidden Treasure" movies. As far as "She's the Man" the fact that hollywood studios Greenlight these kinds of flicks depresses me more than the movie itself ever could.

The Episode was good, but after watching the scenes of episodes to come, I don't think it will be remembered much in a few weeks.

My one problem with the flick though is this.......

Well at the same time, the coverage of the war is basically the equivelant to the reading off of box scores on ESPNnews. THe effect has been lost. Also, rarely does our media do any investigative reporting as to what the Iraqi perspective is, I mean it might not sound all that bad to Americans when you hear "one US Soldier dead, 29 Iraqis dead in a car bombing" And everyone seems all releaved that hey only one of our soldiers went down, but people don't stop to think of all the iraqis are dying in this War that they certainly didn't invite and/or ask for.

I totally agree with your assessment of the Matrix Trilogy. They should have just made the first one, because quite frankly, the end of the movie is a perfectly acceptable END TO THE STORY. Once Neo knows he is the one, then the enemy doesn't stand a chance. There is no need for 2 sequels of fighting ad-naseum and lots of stuff blowing up, when we already know Neo is the one and will prevail. As far as V goes. I saw it today and enjoyed it, very good flick. I would provide more of a "review" but I just rented Undead, Thumbsucker and a History of Violence, and the GF is yelling at me to come put one of them on....lol.

What pisses me off about these MTV shows is that they take such medicore talent and follow them around with a camera all day, it because our culture is so enamoured with "stars" it almost guarantees they will have a top selling single and album. I mean Ashlee Simpson's material is absolute garbage, but you have people my freakin' age buying her CD for gawd'sakes all because of a goddamn tv show.
