  1. Hey, the price to play the game... yeah I understand, I just think it is hilarious and kind of ironic that people would rather have their politicians put on the religious facade, and have them ham it up in a church, then attend to more important things. I don't know which front is more fake when it comes to Bush, his "christianity" or his "down home on the ranch" image. Considering he is from connecticut, afforded a rich upbringing, and probably wouldn't know a ranch if it was bought for him six months before a presidential campaign in order to achieve an image makeover and appeal to the "south" Oh wait......OOPS.
  2. well not just the "conspiracy nuts" but just people in general seeking the truth. I mean it is probably accurate to say that anything Saddam spews during this long trial, won't be fully examined/investigated for another 5-10 years anyway, so even attemting to debate what he says the minute he says it, will be pretty useless. Not only that, but a lot about the USA/IRAQ relationship has already been documented and written about in various books, however once SADDAM HIMSELF SAYS IT, the right-wing(especially right wing radio) is going to take that as a chance to say, "looky loooky everyone, Saddam the the liberals are saying the same thing, THEY ARE ALL TERRORISTS AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" You know that is coming soon. You keep ignoring that AMERICA was the country that STOPPED arming him YEARS earlier. France and the US had tons of heat with one another because the US wanted France to stop selling weapon systems to Iraq, but France refused as it made them a killing. -=Mike No I am not "ignoring" any of that. And anyways, the same thing could be said about America ignoring the gassing of the kurds right after it happened, and never really cared or spoke up about it until a decade later when it was convienent to use in a talking point in a debate. Not to say Saddam shouldn't go unpunished for it, he definately should, however I don't like how suddenly it is some huge deal when as it was happening and immediately following the tragic event, there wasn't a peep about it, or anyone asking where he happened to get the chemical agents from.......
  3. so it's not bad enough that major media networks want to take away the voice of any independent aka 3rd party voice, but now they even want to scale back on the 2 Giants voices.......lovely. It is once every four years, I think people can afford to miss an episode of some shitty drama show. Not to be an asshole, but if people are so interested in Law & Order, then go watch a public trial, or turn on court TV. Stop watching a drama show and pretend to care about "court cases" I know the DNC and the RNC are mostly just fluff these days, and rather then gathering to decide on direction, they are mostly comparable to a high school rally trying to pep up the football team, but still the Presidential election and the events leading up to it, are way more important then "prime time television"
  4. Why is everyone so sure Doc Oc is dead? I know they showed his lifeless face in the water, but they also showed that big ball of energy STILL GLOWING behind him, which means the tentacles still have the possibility of saving Doc Oc, I mean you never know and to ME, they made it a point to show that the energy ball was still there
  5. Ya know, the only thing I hate more then the Evil Empire, is this false precedent set by Peter "Genius" Gammons that the Red Sox are somehow the down & out, blue collar underdogs. I am sorry but the RedSox of the past few years are just Yankees-lite. They whine & complain about how much the Yankees spend on their salaries, but lo and behold who is right there behind them......I wish the Media would give more attention to the REAL blue-collar teams, like the A's, Royals, Twins, etc......of course only when they deserve it. I also think people overrate how much folks outside of the New England/NY area give a shit about the Yankees/Redsox rivalry. Especially during the regular season, and ESPECIALLY a rivalry as ONE-FUCKING-SIDED as the Yanks/Red Sox. I just think it is hard to sympathize with the Red Sox when you have REAL STRUGGLES by other teams in the league to try and compete with the big market clubs. Bottomline is that Last year was the Red Sox best chance at winning it all considering a lot of AVERAGE players had CAREER YEARS, and it is painfully obvious that they have mostly decided to go back to just being regular players this year.
  6. The A's complete the three game sweep over the Angels.......and with a Texas loss, will only be 1/2 game out of firs place........WHOO~!
  7. Steve Nash.....65 million!?! I dunno, Nash strikes me as an "above average" player, but whenever he goes up against upper eschalon players, he gets schooled.

  9. They should let Heyman book Smackdown....EOS.
  10. It is foolish for any of us to expect that America will recieve any unedited footage of the trial. It is highly likely that Saddam will start spilling history between our countries, that the government doesn't really want to be let out to the general public. Needless to say, no one would believe it coming from Saddam's mouth anyway, however it would add more fuel to the conspiracy theory fire, and it will once again raise questions our government doesn't want us asking.....Needless to say, Saddam is GUILTY of all the charges and deserves a bullet to the head, REGARDLESS of our past interaction....It is really two seperate issues.......

  12. Yeah because lord knows if you don't show up to a dozen churches to pretend you give a shit, then you are seen as subhuman or something......
  13. the majority of that article complains about editing, or just offers a different opinion on things. Differing opinions doesn't mean one is TRUE and the other is FALSE, it just means people have different opinions. And the closing of the article is just stupid, Moore has never said or argued that American Capitalism is "the real terrorist state" All he has done is offer some examples in his opinion, of some faults of our system.
  14. THIS IS IT....Umm, I could of sworn I posted a response saying you were right, yesterday, but maybe the puter here at work messed up trying to post the reply.....hmmm. I did look up this game and this was DEFINATELY IT.
  15. Don't flame me for this, but honestly, i thought the first one was a better overall movie then this one. Spiderman 2 had just as many MARK OUT MOMENTS(probably even more) then the original, but the content in between, IMO was just much better in the first one. In the original I never found myself bored and wanting a scene to hurry up, but in this one, just about every scene with Aunt May was making me figity. And no, don't come back with, "you just don't like the drama/story aspect of Spiderman" because like I said, I ate ALL OF IT UP in the original. This movie was definately good, and well worthy of being a sequel to Spiderman, but I just felt that the original was overall a superior film. Oh and the end DOES INDEED ROCK.... Edit: my trailers were: that christmas flick with Tim Allen, Anacondas, Blade Trinity

    Spiderman 2

The only reason I am hesitating is because when reading some of the reviews, it makes it seem like outside of the exploring aspect of the game, there is little to do. I think I will rent it first.
  17. if that is the game that Frank Dukes and Ray Jackson were playing in Blood Sport, then no it isn't that one......
  18. It was in the late 80's and this machine happened to be sitting in a 711..... The best I can remember is that when you punched it made a sound like, "poo poo poo" and when you kicked it made a sound like, "hike hike hike" It was a VERY simplistic video game. Basically just a basic kick & punch fight scheme, and it just had to do with timing......I must have been about 8 or 9 years old at the time.....
  19. I get off work in about an hour and a half and I had the lady, pick up some tickets for the 7:30 show. I can't wait....
  20. Actually, some states require you to vote for a candidate of your party in the primary elections. MD is one of these, so Democrats can only vote for one of their own, ditto Republicans. Registered Independents (like yours truly) can vote for a candidate of either party. In the real elections, of course, you're free to vote for whomever you choose. well then as far as primary elections go. I stand corrected...
  21. Ok HERE is the reality. Registering with a political party is just the necessary first step that is required before you vote. A lot of people just sign up with the first booth/table setup in the mall or where ever they are signing folks up. From then on out you can vote for whoever the hell you want to. I am "registered" as a democrat, which in REALITY only has to do with the media being able to give out statistics on the number of people registered, oh and I get a "please give me money" letter in the mail everytime elections swing by. No one is binded to vote according to who you registered with, so technically EVERYONE is an indepedenet as far as VOTING goes, unless you take it upon yourself to vote down party lines on purpose......
  22. well in that case, there would have to two serperate rates of job growth then. Since, realistically the media might report that 1.6 million jobs have been created, while people are still being laid off at the same time, so it kind of takes the steam out of the 1.6 million figure.
  23. Agreed, completely.
