No see, if Hillary is the VP an Kerry happens to win, then this screws up Mr. Dick Morris's theory that Hillary is sabatoging Kerry in 2004 and will go on to run for Prez in 2008. (LOL) I am not going to say that there is "NO CHANCE IN HELL" that it is Hilary that will be chosen as the VP, however Drudge is hardly ever reliable, and usually will go after any smoke signal out there, so who knows.

only that it didn't happen a lot sooner.......

well they might have resources, but not more then the government. It might take some time, but they would get nailed eventually. Also wasn't one of the first things the Bush tax cut did, was ROLL BACK all the money the wealthy corporations paid over the past decade or so.......don't see how that was very helpful.

The thing about Eugene is that his gimmick is ok as long as it does not take a center stage. Think Hurricane. It was a nice fun gimmick, but imagine trying to get him over as credible while holding onto the Hurricane gimmick. Sure, the fans WANT to get behind Eugene, but none of them believe that he will actually do anything significant, and sooner then later people will get bored with his "retarded" antics. Also, how long can they keep up the, "Eugene suprises everyone and wrestles well" crap? I mean, after his first match you'd think everyone in the back would know to proceed with caution when wrestling Eugene, yet everyone comes out with the, "this out to be a breeze" attitude. Lame. Unless Dinsmore drops the Eugene gimmick and SOON. He is gonna be typecasted and his WWE career in about 3 months will consist of jobbing to new monsters that Vince and Co. bring in on a monthly basis.

so it has come to this.........

well it's not that they can't, but so far they along with the republicans don't try and basically let the upper bracket use every trick in the book to try and make their entire income excempt. I have a hard time buying that they are actually trying too. I for once would like to see a politician actually get in there and go after the EXTREMELY wealthy for their tax revenue, and see how it plays out.
-
well since it hasn't ever been executed in recent history. Again, you are assuming that the Democrats are lying, which is understandable since they are politicians afterall, however all I am trying to say is that 120k does not fall into the "top 5%" group.

Coolidge saw that so many Americans lived in poverty and chose to do nothing about it. Uh...? Coolidge governed over a booming economy powered by a grossly overinflated stock market. The economy later collapsed, largely due to the rampant corruption of the times. Naming Coolidge's actual proposals and platform issues he passed are nigh impossible. Sounds damned close to Clinton. -=Mike I don't understand why people still attribute so much of the economies fluxuation to the President. In general the President has little power to change the economy, moreso the cycle pretty much dicates thateconomies go up and down and repeat themselves for all of eternity. There has never been a great economy that didn't come down, and there has never been a bad economy that hasn't rebounded.(America) I do agree that Bush got too much flack over the lagging economy, but now I think he is just getting to much credit by a general public that doesn't understand how the economy works. That's EXACTLY right. The President's ability to "create" or "lose" jobs is, at best, weak. I will say Reagan's tax cuts were extremely helpful --- but there is little he could've done to MAKE it happen. The market produces jobs. -=Mike Yes I know the market creates jobs. I just feel that the media has an obligation to examine what kinds of jobs are being created, instead of just reading numbers off a paper, which in reality mean NOTHING. Repeating myself ad naseum, losing a 50k a year job to go stock shelves at Wal-Mart is technically, getting a job, and it WILL show up on a piece of paper as a job created, but if you look at as what the net worth of the job now is compared to the job before, it just doesn't compare. Also, any industries that took a huge hit from 9/11 would definately be creating jobs in 2003/2004, as people's fear of an attack lighten up and people are ready to travel at ease again. That has little to do with the president and more do to just the time passing. Also here is another question that I am not sure of........When they say "jobs created" does that mean BRAND NEW JOBS, or are they just referring to people that were laid off/fired etc......going BACK TO WORK? Or both?

I am always accused of being a democrat, when I criticize Bush, it's nothing new. The general public still doesn't seem to be ready to accept that you can be neither a republican or democrat, and STILL be interested in politics.

some gas stations around here have gone all the way down to $2.09, like the am/pm, but Chevron is still hovering at $2.19, when NORMALLY they would only be 2-3 cents above the cheaper places.

for what it's worth, I liked what I saw of it. it had a VERY ECW-feel to it. I only saw it a few times when I had my black box which allowed me to get sunshine network.

Crosby the rookie comes through again with the RBI single in the 8th inning as the Dotel gets the save and the A's take game one from the Angels. Crosby is gonna be a star. He has brought his average up to .280 and looks better with each passing game......

everyone be sure to mention what trailers you get before the movie.

That is a good price for 8 movies. I am torn, do I just give in and buy this, or do I hold out hope that ONE DAY, they may finally release the unrated versions!?! I remember reading a long time ago, how much more gore and impact that death scenes had before they were cut down for an R rating...... I have parts 1-8(minus 7) on VHS.......so looks like I will get to make my gf's dad happy when I hand over all of the VHS copies to him when I buy this......

you are right in the fact that it is a double-standard, but I do think this is one of the rare occassion that the double-standard does indeed hold up. Usually when it is a male teacher, there is a lot of coersion and trickey involved, often playing upon emotions and weaknesses in the female, however when it is a female teacher, she can basically just ask for a volunteer to do it, and the entire male class would stand up and raise their hand. And I'm sure there are cases where the male teachers have girls who'd spread it for them at the drop of a hat. -=Mike yeah I was speaking in general terms though. Notice how a lot of the times, when it is the female adult, she usually tends to be on the hotter side, which is kind of weird, yet with the Male teacher it is usually the nerdy, low self-esteem, easy prey type of girl.

Nah. Tax the rich means people who are approaching $100 million a year. A smidgen more to them means a hell of a lot more than a smidge to the people living near the bottom. And I'm telling you --- to your face, right now --- that is not even CLOSE to who will be nailed with this tax hike Hillary supports. -=Mike well the democrats have said publicly on many occassions during the CURRENT CAMPAIGN, "the top 5%" so either they mean the top 5% or they are lying to everyone's face while will make their own graves and bury them, if they happen to get into power in november. I think it is safe to leave it at that, and stop pretending you magically heard that "rich" is 120k and up. When I heard Top 5%, the first thing that comes to my mind is probably most of the mutli-billion/million dollar global corporations that get out of any and all taxes. Their portion alone IF THEY FUCKING PAID IT, would do more for the tex revenue then taxing EVERYONE at the 120k level. I am not giving democrats a pass on this since they are just as guilty in not going after the corporations as the republicans are, but the fact of the matter is, if the government made the corporations pay their fair share, I don't think anyone would have to worry about some guys making 120k not paying enough.
-
well it is true that a lot of corporations hide income/profit and usually get out of paying most or all of their taxes. Think of how much more tax revenue would be collected if they paid up.
-
I'm pretty sure she means people that make around 120k and up. When you hit that level is when taxes really start pounding you. And I have a major problem with this. Making a little over 6 figures almost isn't worth it when you get into taxes. It's insane that someone makes 120k and is lucky to bring home 75k of it. And people seem to find that completely ok and want to tax the upper brackets even more. I don't care how much someone makes, it's totally unfair that someone has to hand over half of their earnings to the government. So what if O'Reilly is a wealthy guy, he worked for his money and he should be able to keep more of it. well the upper 5% is not 120k and up. So unless the Dems are bold-faced liars on this issue(which they very well may be) then I wouldn't worry about barely hitting the six figure mark.

another hilarious point is that she said she was attracted to him because she was not "allowed to have sex with him" well she was married, so technically wasn't she not allowed to have sex with anybody(besides her husband).

yeah on Jim Rome's show today, he said the only downside would be having a soar hand for all the high fives he was receiving from the other students...LOL. She must have worked through college FAST to get her degree and credentials so young. Then again, it is middle-school....

She was teaching him something alright...... TAMPA, Florida (AP) -- A 23-year-old middle-school teacher was charged with having sex with a 14-year-old student in a classroom, at her apartment and, once, in a vehicle while the teen's 15-year-old cousin drove. Detectives said that the cousins provided matching statements incriminating Debra Beasley Lafave and that the 14-year-old described Lafave's apartment and her tattoos and birthmarks. Lafave, who teaches reading in the Tampa suburb of Temple Terrace, was arrested there last week on lewd and lascivious battery charges, accused of having sex with the teen earlier this month at her apartment and in a portable classroom at Greco Middle School. She was out on bond on those charges when she turned herself in Monday in Marion County, about 80 miles north of Tampa, where the cousin lives. There, she is charged with lewd and lascivious battery and exhibition. She was released Monday on $25,000 bail. Her lawyer, John Fitzgibbons, said he was not ready to respond to the allegations. "There is a presumption of innocence in this country," he said. The teen told investigators that he and Lafave got to know each other during a class trip last month, and their sexual relationship began June 3. The boy told detectives that Lafave told him that her months-old marriage was in trouble and that she was attracted to him because having sex with him was not allowed. Lafave, who has worked with the Hillsborough County school system for two years, has been placed on administrative duty and could be suspended without pay at the next school board meeting, officials said. In Marion County, authorities say Lafave had sex with the student in the back of her sport utility vehicle while the cousin drove them around the Ocala area. **for a picture of her, follow the link at the top of the page**

something tells me that prices over here won't go down as much as the drop in crude will allow it.
