NCM, one little thing --- using examples of bad choices doesn't make your desire a good choice. Austin owned RVD in almost every category known to man. Even when dogging it --- Austin outworks RVD. Austin DID draw huge crowds. RVD never has. So, you have not explained why RVD DESERVES anything. Heck, I can use the Mabel example and say that EVERYBODY deserves a ME push. -=Mike I never said RVD deserves it, but the title of this thread isn't "Does RVD deserve it" I am just simply listing reasons why he hasn't got there yet, deserving or not is besides the point, since WWE has had many title holders that are both deserving & undeserving in my eyes. As far as drawing goes, RVD seemed to draw ECW's biggest crowds in their history, and while the number doesn't compare to a WWE crowd, it was still good for a promotion that was barely noticed by the mainstream wrestling crowd.

Well now I work M-F 8am-5pm and go to class M-Thursday at night, so by the time Friday Evening rolls around I am really beat, although if I had some specific plans I would still go out, however I am not gonna waste my energy just "going out" trying to find something.

whoa I just found out that Slayer will be here in Sacramento between Ozzfest dates. July 30th......HELL YEAH~! So if we also get a Jager tour stop, I will be seeing Slayer two times this year~!

So I wonder if his new relationship with Jesus(if that he was eluding to) will have the same affect it did on HBK, and now will see Russo booking himself in the main event every week.

Good point on Austin Chaos. Since when has Vince and/or the writers cared about not being professional? Or at least on a consistent basis. So we can forget about workrate and not being professional as excuses. The only point that people can really make is that his mic skills need a lot of work. And I would agree, at least as far as delivering to a WWE crowd yes.

And RVD's pops at that point weren't that hot. Hate to break it to you. I can say that RVD is less deserving than a LIST of WWE guys to be pushed to the top of the card. -=Mike Umm, yes his pops were still hot. RVD was hot even when he was being depushed. It took a lot of jobs and continual misuse, before people finally stopped caring. Plus WWE still semi-protected him in the KOTR match having RVD seem like he had the match won, until Heyman interfered. As far as "dogging it in the ring" that is pure smart mark speculation BS. No one can say for sure either way, and RVD sure as hell wouldn't be the first if that is so anyway. I don't remember RVD "dogging" it against Orton when Orton got a concussion andwas basically out on his feet for 90% of the match and was then later compelled to go online and write HOW PROFESSIONAL RVD was in guiding him through the rest of the match. That was also arguably Orton's most entertaining match up to that point btw.(not that it was saying much in that point in his career, but still).

well considering just about all Top 40 country is either stadium sounding over produced trash with a bit of Twang mixed in, OR the "innocent girl" in tight jeans and a bare midriff, singing STRAIGHT POP songs with a twangy accent, yeah I'd say the whole country genre has sold out. It is pretty crazy how amazing country music sounded, and the comedy in the lyrical conent from songs in the golden eras of the genre. Compare that to modern day country and it makes you want to gag.

WWE puts the belt on whoever they want, no matter who's more deserving toes gets stepped on. Remember Brock Lesnar? He got everything within such a short time. He was put over RVD at KOTR when RVD was still in the cycle of his really popular phase. If Vince wanted him as champion, it would happen. Workrate is the last thing anyone in the Wwe office cares about, so everyone can stop pretending that it is RVD's workrate that is holding him back.

well I expected this, considering I see the ppvs for free here at a sportsbar and I still refused to watch it last month.

I watched TNN in the early days but have lost touch recently. What is planned for the debut show? Is it gonna be matches from the X World cup? Or stuff they haven't taped yet? Lemme know.....

Who knew eating a plate of bacon everyday was bad?
NoCalMike replied to kkktookmybabyaway's topic in General Chat
The thing is, the only way to stay fit is to eat a somewhat normal diet, and move around aka exercize a bit. It is kind of shady that a lot of these big food corporations that are putting fructose corn syrup in our food to fatten us up also own about 90% of these fake diet scams that they peddle to all of us on TV to take the weight back off... That and it is worth a mention to say that a lot of the same foods that have been around for 50 years are more fattening today because companies have found cheaper ways to process the food which is usually putting cheaper more fatty additives into the food, so they can save a buck or two. -
honestly, I don't. I have school at night so I have to tape raw, and I refuse to use the effort with smackdown unless the spoilers are good.(LOL). I still watch when I can, and I always attend ppvs because they are free at the sportsbar here and it is the one time a month I get to hang with friends that I don't see on a daily basis, however as far as the close attention.....it is all but spent.

before I get too excited and mark out.......SOURCE PLEASE!?!

to play devil's advocate here, in order for the Penn & Teller show to do a 180 on someone's opinion, they would have to have better folks arguing agains them. I mean it is pretty obvious they find goofs and whacks to counter argue, in order to drive the point home better.

Veronica wasn't a pussy at Semester at Sea, but the funny thing is, you can tell the difference between her being on her FIRST MTV REALITY SHOW, and then the present time with her being on her 4th or 5th. She totally plays the part of MTV drama queen, and she fits most stereotypes of the 20-something generation female. She was so laid back and friendly on Semester at Sea. Of course on these battle shows, they set the rules up so you kind of have to be cunning and coniving and all that shit.
-
The funny thing about Veronica is that she used to be this scared little puppy dog. She used to be EMILY's bitch. Emily is the master of manipulation, I'd rank her even above Coral in ability to manipulate the team. I really would like to see them bring Emily back, and have Veronica get all scared again. Even have Katie/Veronica/Emily all on the same team, that would be hilarious.

New episodes air Thursday Nights at 8pm I believe. On Showtime. I liked the episode about drugs, particularly the marijuana portions. Most episodes are great, but I was expecting a better show out of the bible episode.

nothing in Iraq is even remotely close to the atrocities commited by Hitler(as far as what US Soldiers have done). What a dumbass.
-
well this is certainly disturbing.
-
So since Ashcroft is involved in this outlining, I wonder if he is going to include plans to take out medical marijuana stores, porn shops, internet head shops, and strip clubs, all in the name of anti-terrorism of course.

I remember Adrianna was on the View before the season started and when they asked her if she got whacked this season, she seemed to have a hard time holding back from giving a response. Jeezus, I forgot all about that dammit. Fantastic episode. The NY/NJ war better actually happen this time and not another f'n tease. Somehow I think Tony B. will still be alive after this season, whether it is because he fled(still in hiding) or Tony just tells Sack to F'off and then the war really heats up as Tony goes to Bat for B.

WTF, I didn't know you watched this series.....dammit.
