With me, I was into Hard alcohol at 18-20, and then I started liking beer better. I am not really a shots person. I am just the type that would rather kick back with a nice ice cold bottle of dark heinekin or something rather then doing a bunch of shots. Now, I do still take shots, but I usually get buzzed from beer first.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Breaks...
NoCalMike replied to a topic in Television & Film
Agreed, the only time looking at opening weekends is fun anymore, is when something BOMBS. -
After having Lombardo back there behind the drum kit, I am sure Hetfield and the gang secretly thought, "geez do we even want Ulrich back now?"

After all HHH's alleged pulling for Edge...
NoCalMike replied to Just call me Dan's topic in The WWE Folder
Edge to me is just another Triple H waiting to happen.(sanz that backstage politics) He is an average worker at best. His Promos are meh. He peaked when he was a heel, and hasn't been nearly as good or entertaining since, and he is overall just a bland worker. I really could careless what they do with Edge as long as it isn't in the main event, but if he was promised something, then they should stick to the promise. -
Another issue I think that hasn't been explored a lot yet regarding downloading music is a trend among people to start start straying away from Top 40 musicians/songs(albeit slowly). The RIAA and Clear Channel are about profits and one thing they need from music listeners to keep their profits rising is a simple thing called, CONFORMITY. In an ideal world for them, EVERYONE would love american idol contestants, EVERYONE would just eat up the new Velvet Revolver album, and EVERYONE would love Metallica's downtuning, however more and more casual listeners, are tuning out of Top 40 music. Now I am not trying to claim that there is this NEW PHENOMENON of people flocking away from the radio, but truth be told, A LOT more people today are listening to different kinds of music and less known artists then five years ago, and I'd have to say that mp3s/filesharing/music downloading is the BIGGEST REASON for this. No one is going to go to Tower Records and buy something on a hunch, but they WILL spend 30 seconds downloading just about anything on a recommendation from a friend or an "online buddy" Clear Channel and the RIAA are surely not liking the fact that Joe Schmo is just as likely to buy a cd from some no name band or artists, rather then this brand new glossy band that they just spent 50 million dollars in advertising for. Once again, the RIAA wants to DICTATE what music we all listen too, and they don't appreciate ANYONE telling them that their millions of dollars of advertising is going to waste. [/rant]

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Breaks...
NoCalMike replied to a topic in Television & Film
Spiderman 2 shall break Potter's new record. More theaters, more screens. It is bound to happen. Theater records will continue to be broken, for multiple reasons. -
I was thinking that maybe now that the FBI has Sack, the series might end with Sack giving up info on Tony, for a reduced sentence. However then he comes off like a rat, and the FBI weren't even after Tony at the time, so I dunno. Suprisingly, I am kind of interested in the Tony/Carmela get-back-togther storyline. Are they trying to hint that Tony is actually going to be a good husband, better father, and more rational now? Cause if that is so, then there is only two things that come next in mob dramas, Prison or Death. I wonder if Meadow is going to be involved anymore in the series then she was this season. I mean her getting married and the prep that goes along with it, would seemingly get a little more play. I just have a feeling her fiance will be exposed and then dealt with.

So the J-Lo Divorce #4 pool begins....... I'd say right after the 2004-2005 Superbowl

I was actually suprised Detroit was able to keep out of constant foul trouble, being their aggressive style Defense, and the fact that game was in LA, where aggressivenes could go punished. It will be interesting to see if Game 2 is going to be called similar, or if suddenly you see patty cake taps called as fouls. If somehow the Pistons can go up 2-0, it will be REALLY interesting to see if they take their aggressiveness up one more notch because in Detroit they SHOULD get the benefit of the doubt on judgment calls. I really am suprised at the results of game, but it was definately a more important game for the Pistons because I think they key for the Pistons is to make sure they are NEVER in the position where they have to win 2 in a row to win the series. I think the Lakers are a lot more comfortable down in a series, then Detroit would be, but hey that is just my opinion.

I was at the Rivercats game today, (The A's AAA team). I got sunburned all to hell. At least they kept the updates going on the A's game. The A's offense has really stepped it up with the absence of Chavez. I hope they can keep it up for another few weeks Meanwhile Mulder & Hudson are starting to turn it on, Zito & Harden are getting better finally, and Redman, well he is the wilcard, but as a #5 starter, I will take him.

the only thing that sucks if when Uranium will feature a band like Audioslave for the inteview, and Juliya doesn't tone down her "hell yeah, heavy fucking metal, I love it muthafuckers" act just tad bit. I mean come on, audioslave is not heavy metal, not saying they suck, but they aren't heavy metal dammit, so just stop it Juliya. Oh and when you say fat ass. Do you mean, fat like PHAT-Via Guerra ass, or fat ass like as in undesirable fat??

File-sharing is an esy scapegoat for the greedy bastards to bitch to congress about who in return know absolutely zero, and don't care to learn anything more about how the music industry works. It is just one bunch of rich greedy ingrates, whining to a different group of rich greedy ingrates. Gee I wonder who they will side with. I find it highly ironic that the bands that bitch the most, also make the most money and the majority of small indy bands that are REALLY struggling for money are the ones HOPING someone wants to download their music for exposure. Me personally, most everything I download is at least 5-10 years old, and hasn't been heard anywhere near a radio station. I just don't find current music beit, Top 40, or even underground stuff, to be all that appealing. The music industry is just boring right now. Ian Robinson had a nice rant on this which is posted somewhere on this board. File-sharing does a lot more good then bad, and the RIAA has failed to show how downloading has hurt anyone's capability to make a decent living from making music. They just want more and more and more profits, that is all.

Quite Honestly, if he is good enough to demand a double team from the oppostie line, then he is at least worth something. A lot of unsung heroes in the NFL are the lineman who demanded a double team, which cut down on their stats, but would allow the guy next to him to have a monster statistical year.

this is true. Bush, not making very intelligent statements lately, but hey, the man is desperate.

this just goes to show you that you can't really judge most tv personalities by the jobs/scripts they are PAID TO DO. Oh and Juylia is fucking hot, but I still question whether she is legit, or an assembly line product. I'd hit it either way~!

Raven sounds like a good choice, as does RVD if he leaves wwe in a month. I used to pirate D!sh too, but the problem is, unless you have someone that is good with programming the smart cards, you will get mixed results, for example, the first time I had a pirated card, I recieved all the ppv, sports, and porn channels, but he didn't program all the regular premium channels like hbo, showtime etc........plus with satellite stealing, nothing ever lasts, unlike a cable blackbox that works forever.

At school they used to play music, and just about everyday the played Coolio's Gangstas Paradise. Whenever you tried to get them to play non hip hop music, they would claim, "we don't know the songs, so we can't be sure they don't have cuss words" "They" being the guys controlling the stereo system In Earth Science class, a kid dropped a big chuck of dry ice into the fish tank and it started bubbling like crazy and the teacher accused him of purposely trying to kill her fish. Then she went to sit down on her chair with wheels and it slid out from under her and she fell on the ground. 2 chicks got into a fight, and one made the mistake of getting into a fight while wearing a skirt. Needless to say, every guy got a nice show and wanted that fight to go on forever. They got suspended and procedded to try and fight they day they both got back. An anti abortion group came and protested at our school, which brought out the local news. Was crazy on campus for an hour or two. Someone brought the fakes of Tiffany Amber theisn in a see-thru black top and must have made about 50 copies, started handing them out, and then comes the wind.......wow you could only imagine. Our american history teacher/baseball varsity coach went from David Weathers to Dana Rivers, and even appeared on Montel Williams. .......more to come.......

Jim Rome was all over this on his radio show this morning. Then someone emailed him this...... "hey mom and dad, you just got juiced -sincerely, Erik & Lyle " LOL......that made the rest of my day.

well considering the link went down before half of you got to watch it.......I'd say, "I need more research"

ok I taped it and just got done watching it. First impressions: It was definately different from WWE, which is GREAT, no matter how you look at it, just for the fact that it is a true alternative. I do kind of get a WCW feel to it. Positives: X-divsion (duh) smaller ring Mike Tenay 1 hour of WRESTLING Different Wrestlers = Different styles Negatives: (Bear with me, because I am just basing this on today's one hour show) The whole country-redneck-southern niche has got to go, if they seriously want to make an impact on the national market. For the flashbacks, they need to show better stuff. Not celebrity stuff, because that doesn't make anyone care about the product. Jeff Jarret as the head booker. I really hope he has the "what's best for business in his mind" because if he is just booking himself as champ to try and show Vince he can carry a company, TNA won't last that long. Overall I would give the debut show a thumbs up. It definately established itself as a different product from WWE. While I didn't fall head over heels in love with NWA-TNA from what I have seen so far(tonight and past shows) it is definately something WORTH WATCHING. Lets hope they can keep the good stuff coming.

In reality you can point to a lot of reasons why the Kings lost the last three playoff series, but the biggest bullshit reason by so-called "experts" is that "The Kings play a style of basketball that can be shutdown in the playoffs" That is such a pile of horseshit. As far as I am concerned the Kings could have won it all in 2002, and made it to at least the WCF this year if they could only suck it up and make free throws in pressure situations. That is it. You can give me all the gloom and doom about how "they need to blow the team up and start over.....blah blah" but take everything into account, Webber's injury, Peja shooting like shit, Bobby Jackson not playing a single game......and I can just stop all of those excuses and just point to free throws, plain and simple.

I could only get the small ones to work, the medium and large links were broken.......so here ya go..... Let the mudslinging, political debating, and flame wars begin........

Clarkson falls under the category of fat-skinny chick. Which means fantastic. I love it. Don't care for her music much though.
