  1. the a's were so damn awful in the mid nineties that they actually have away the pro-fitting caps during one game. The ones that cost $18-$22 in stores. Desperation.
  2. Well I work at 8:30am, so I shouldn't be on this late, LOL. I remember last year this place would be poppin' between 11 & 1am pacific time......I wonder what happened.
  3. If you are close to a TV right now, turn on Fox News. Ann Coulter is on one of her "If you aren't right wing you are a traitor scumbag" rants again.
  4. I am assuming everyone knew the trick of pressing the "select" button between one set of rounds, to make your energy go up. When I was eleven, me and my friend had a game genie and we beat Tyson for the first time.
  5. If you are in public office, your concern should be with the american people, not the church. EOS.
  6. I find it more suspect that there was all this space between playoff games, but suddenly since the Lakers advanced first, the NBA is making the Wolves hurry up and get no rest for their upcoming series. I mean come on, Game 1 should have been Sunday. Yeah, I just noticed that too. Hopefully the refs won't be blatantly trying to give games to the Lakers like last year. Though it would be fun seeing the Pistons beat up on the Lakers in the finals. well for all you T-wolves fans, one thing is for sure. All the shoving Cassell was not called on against Bibby(Sacramento) you can be sure as hell that if he trys that junk against the Lakers, he will get called EVERYTIME down the court, and with him being a hot head who likes to instruct the officials on how to do their job aka "working the refs" you can expect Cassell to average a technical foul per game. The one advantage he has is that he is a champion already, so champions do get favorable calls, especially in the playoffs, but this is another STORYBOOK Lakers team, so you expect it to be a tad bias.
  7. One for the Redskins would be in the 1999 divisional playoffs against Tampa Bay. The Skins elect to go for the field goal on 3rd down(smartly) in case of a botch, so they still have another shot on 4th down. So lo and behold they botch the snap on 3rd down, and get about five more yards tacked on to the distance. No big deal..........until they botch the snap AGAIN on 4th down........ARGH......I think the final score was 14 -13 or something. Another one was against the Giants when they were tied, and the Skins were in FG range, when Westbrook, frustrated by a call, takes off his helmet and the SKins get pushed back 15 yds and out of field goal range, and the game ends in a tie. How about leading Dallas 34-13 in 1999, and it was the 4th quarter, only to LOSE THE GAME 35-34 in OT..... Shall I go on? Yeah it has been a rough decade for all of us Skins fans.

  9. My biggest problem with Adelman is that he doesn't make adjustments. The Kings are a jump shooting team and they live & die by their jumpshots. Maybe it will change if Webber can come back at 100% next season, because his ability to take the inside will bring back the open looks that were missing in the playoffs, but Petrie definately needs to look for FAs that can make the Kings offense more diverse.
  10. The Lakers will go over, pretty easily. It may even turn out to be a six game series, due to the fact that the Lakers tend to take games off when they think they are in control, but I don't see anyway that a focused Laker team is going to lose this series. And this is coming from a Laker-hating Kings fans, that desperately wishes the T-wolves can pull off this upset. As far as KG goes, he will have his way with Malone, but so what really, Shaq is a usually a great player, but against the T-wolves, he should make it ugly, REAL UGLY in the middle for the Wolves.
  11. well this is also assuming that Adelman and the coaching staff all stay in tact. If not, then it is a crap shoot, of what direction they will be going in. Personally I don't have a problem with their core, but they should reinvest that made their 2003 squad a really good team, like Jimmy Jackson & Keon Clark. While they weren't world beaters, they brought toughness to the Kings that was sorely missed this season.
  12. The backlash by the Kings #1 announcer against Bobby Jackson was incredible. He was implicating that Bobby Jackson lied to his face on the air about playing in game 7, and basically accused him of protecting himself for the summer and free agency. If that is so, they Kings should find a way to get rid of his ass, you have to show commitment to your team, especially when it is a do or die game.
  13. I voted for Nader in 2000. And while I am not sure if HE is getting my vote this time, I am certain that whoever I vote for it won't be Bush or Kerry.
  14. one thing I never understood is why Umpires are allowed to interpret their own strikezone. If the rulebook clearly states what the strikezone is, then that is what it is PERIOD. None of this, "well I like these types of strikes blah blah blah" Either the umpire calls the strikezone according to the rules or they get a new job, PERIOD.
  15. no, no, you're right, but there is a difference between looking at the ref, yelling something to the ref, and the classic Cassell moves, which is put your arm around ref, grab a whiteboard, draw out the play for the ref, and go step by step as to why Cassell pulling someone's arm down is not a foul!?!
  16. I have been listening to the post game show and as expected, some fans have pushed the panic button and want a house cleaning, others want small changes. What do YOU THINK should be done? For me personally, I think if Webber can come back at 100% next year, and with B. Jackson returning, I think the current Kings roster(give or take a few "end of benchers") should get ONE MORE CHANCE in 2005, to show they can win it all. If not, then they should house clean, but I think it would be unfair to do that this offseason, since the Kings were not playing at full strength, and still managed to play a tight series with the #1 seed.
  17. Cassell is clutch. However I must express my annoyance at the guy for questioning every single freaking call against the T-wolves. I mean come on, when you obviously foul someone, just take it like a man, and stop trying to explain things to the official.
  18. well she is at her house, and her cousin just came into town, so she is probably busy....
  19. so why exactly was Cassell allowed to do it any time he wanted to right in front of the officials' faces!?!
  20. Thanks man. Good series. Congratulations and hope you can pull off the upset against the Lakers.
  21. I think the NBA has lost all of it's ratings though from here on out. The money was with the Kings/Lakers series. The Finals are pretty non-important, since the West has dominated for awhile now.
  22. Ok, I have a question: and no I am not trying to blame this on the loss at all, whatsoever, but I do have to ask for piece of mind: What exactly is the rule when it comes to using your free hand to create space when you have the ball. It seems like whenever Cassell is driving or just has the ball, he just nonstop uses his free arm to push, elbow etc...whoever is guarding him. Now I am sure other people in the league do it, but I have never seen it done as obvious as the way Cassell does it. Is this perfectly legal or does this fall under "well he has a couple of rings, so he gets his own set of rules" ? Thanks~!

  24. So I drank a bunch of beer during the 2nd half the Kings/Wolves game, and as a diehard kings fan, you can imagine what I am feeling now with the beer + the kings loss......... Anyway, I have two choices, stop drinking NOW, and sober up by the time I go to sleep later....... OR.... The More the merrier, and drink until I pass out into a drunken, angry stooper...... You make the call.......
  25. yeah well, can't win 'em all(or any of them) can ya? It has to make you wonder if there will be a shakeup in Sacramento this offseason. On one hand I kind of want there to be, but on the other hand, I don't think you can punish a team that was going into the playoffs at half staff. If Webber can fully recover next year, and the Kings can go into the playoffs, virtually injury free, then I would say 2004, is their last chance at the current roster, to win a championship.
