  1. http://www.apple.com/trailers/independent/edmond/trailer/ I didn't realize this was already on DVD. Looks like a movie, set in the 80's about the human condition. Or as someone put it, "Falling Down" on Acid. I am going to the video store tonight anyway, so I will check to see if they have this!!!
  2. That's a good question, and I wish I knew more about satellite radio. But the obvious questions I would have are who controls/picks what songs are being played on each station. For example, if I tuned into the "Rock" satellite channel, would it still be the basic Top 40 of rock, or would they have any type of effort to mix in more obscure, unknown artists? Same with the rest. See my main problem with something like Satellite Radio is, who owns it and are they basically just going to be pumping out the same shit FM radio does, but commercial free? As a Dish Network owner, I get Satellite Radio stations through my TV now. I have only really listened to the Metal station which is Death/Black/Grind etc..... along with some of the Blues station, and none of that is ever on the radio anyway, so it is hard to judge how well a job they are doing with playlists.
  3. http://www.apple.com/trailers/newline/thenumber23/trailer/ So, what do ya'll think?
  4. Wouldn't that be hilarious if Romo got into the probowl based on his two good starts and the media hype machine all over his nuts for three weeks? Well not so much hilarious, but more aggravating.
  5. I think another problem is that over the past couple of years, WWE is hotshotting the WWE title to newer workers too fast, andas a bi-product that worker becomes too stale too fast, because for one they had no business being the champ in the first place, either due to lack of crowd response, talent etc....and/or the fact that they aren't ready to handle the load and carry the company the way champions have to. Just think if Orton had never been the champ in the first place, it might be interesting to see it happen once he is done tagging with Edge, but nooooo since he has already been champ, now the idea doesn't seem so great because we saw what happened the first time around. I know Vince is constantly in search for the next big thing, but he should consider waiting a good five years before putting the title belt on new talent, and when I say new talent, I mean new talent to the industry, not new to WWE.
  6. So this is it, my first TSM Blog. So I was driving along the road and I heard rock music being blasted out the car next to me. Nirvana. Yeah, Nirvana is still getting as much play on the radio today as it did in 1992. Now, personally I have nothing against Nirvana, I was a young teenager in their heyday, and I listened to them, however at 26 and almost 15 years older, I have to think to myself, what the hell are they still doing getting hourly spins on the radio? With the boom of the internet it was my hope people would not be simply downloading the "hot music of the hour" but actively seeking out bands you don't hear on the radio. Doesn't have to be what I happen to like, I can care less, but I guess my dissapointment is that either the music of today is so bad that there isn't enough quality to fill up the radio for a couple of hours OR the industry itself is so tedious and petty that just want to rehash music from a previous generation onto the next generation of teenage angst. Or Both!?! I have never been one to say you can't like this or that, or the one to argue that what I happen to like is the best, but there are some things in life that I do feel the need to speak out about and one of them is the absolute shit quality of music today. Now I am sure people will reply to this with so-and-so and how awesome they are, but even if that is true, I am willing to bet they are the exception to the rule. With the internet entering more homes everyday, and highspeed costs coming down(somewhat) My hope is that one day the monopoly that is currently held on corporate radio can be broken by the will of the people. I hope for a day when most people just flat out turn off FM Radio for good and seek other venues for music. That is when the search for true Artists will begin.
  7. Ok This is a test because I just typed up a really long debut blog(lol) and it got erased because of some weird happenings on the board......
  8. I also think TSM's quality has gone down in the last couple of years, but something that keeps me coming back is the fact that this board gets a lot of action. You post a comment or a question, and it is usually replied to really quickly. On most boards, I have tried to join since seeking alternatives to TSM, you post something and it can go hours or even days without being replied to, and then you end up forgetting about the board all together. Keep on looking Leena, and if you find a good one, let me know.
  9. http://thesuperficial.com/2006/12/pauly_sh...nocked_out.html So, Pauly Shore is in the middle of a standup routine, and someone decides to heckle. Shore promptly tells them to STFU, and a "hoss" decides to get on stage and punch Paulie Shore. Now, I am no huge fan of Shore, but seriously, if you are heckling a comedian, you shouldn't feel bad or hurt if the comedian singles you out and basically tells you to SHUT THE FUCK UP, so I dunno why this fucking redneck gets all BUTT-hurt and thinks he has the right to go on stage. Oh and the fact that he says "I'm a-gonna show you something, Son" WTF? The crowd in the background "Heeeeeeeet him" Disgusting. I hope this hillbilly stupid shit was arrested. Maybe Shore should have just said "Git R Done" a few hundred times!?! Of course I do kind of wonder WHY THE HELL security did not stop or at least approach the Cowboy as soon as he attempts to get on stage.
  10. If RVD ended up in TNA, then TNA would need to do everything possible to get a two hour time slot. Their roster is already too big for a one hour show, and with RVD in the mix, I think they would, dare I say, be top-heavy in ME guys. Also, I find blaming Heyman for ECW is pretty lame. I mean even if Heyman was making ALL the decisions, he is still working within the confines of what Vince McMahon's vision is for WWECW. In otherwords, even if Heyman was the guy who decided who was going to win/lose the matches and how the matches would be worked, he is still having to work within Vince's approval. I am willing to bet that if Heyman truly had control of WWECW, there would have been a completely different card for the PPV. EDIT: oops, my bad. Thanks for posting!
  11. I was temping at Buetler Heating & Air a couple of years ago, and I guess they send their employees up to Reno to some big hotel for a huge bash. The company provides commerical buses, or you can drive yourself. The only thing you pay for is a room if you want to stay over...... I worked for Target Distribution Center for 3 years, and every year it is at the hilton, the dinner was always good, but the party itself got lamer. First year they raffled prizes like big screens, dvd players, trips....by the time I left, it was mostly coupons and no speeches made or anything, people just showed up, ate and left.
  12. Sounds awesome. Hey, when you work a show, are you allowed to bring anyone with you to just be an observer/watcher of the show?
  13. Right-Wing alarmists will react in their typical reactionist "If you question Israel policy, you are an anti-semite" arguing.
  14. About $4, it's whats left after I collected $5 per person from all the group at the PPV last week, and then got $20 of gas, and then yesterday bought a breakfast burrito and coffee from AM/PM....
  15. What is "Black Republicans" about? I mean I can guess, but is there a lyric listing somewhere?
  16. Back in the day it was common for clone sites to pop up all the time with cut and paste news headlines. Anyone remember Parts Unknown? I used to write columns for moonsault.com and insideupdate.com
  17. NoCalMike

    See ya!

As long as yer back for the Rumble at my house....lol. Have a safe trip.
  18. She looked basicaly the same before she had them......she explained on her myspace that she got them because she wanted them to look like they looked in a push up bra without the bra. Can you provide a link to her myspace?
  19. WCW/nWo Revenge for N64 was my favorite. The graphics were pretty sweet and NOTHING could beat the Battle Royal mode, not only could you make La Parka do his dance, but you could make ANYONE do it.....and sticking around after you got eliminated to screw up other people in the ring was awesome.
  20. Piazza CLOSE to signing with A's!
  21. This thread reminds me of when I was watching True Romance on Showtime and when James Gandolfini is beating the shit out of Patricia Arquette, she flips him off in defiance, and on my TV you couldn't even see her hand/middle finger, so she is just there all bloodied and beaten chuckling for no reason.....I got freaked out and put in the Widescreen DVD to make sure it was Showtime's broadcast and not my TV/DVD and sure enough on the DVD the hand/middle finger was in plain view, right where it should be. Oh, yeah....when I have a choice, I go with the truest Widescreen Format available.
  22. I think a lot more people read the net then Vince is willing to admit. The difference though is that a lot of people on the internet still don't know Dave Meltzer/Wrestling Observer from any local hack with his own website like www.wrestlinginsiderscoopage.com They just go to any sight and get their wrestling tibits, third or even fourth hand after the webmaster has copied and pasted it from Meltzer or PWinsider. Hell when I first got the internet in 1995, the first website I manually typed in was www.prowrestling.com and for a good month or two, I figured the site was credible, because at the time I had no reason not to.(LOL)On many occassions when talking to wrestling fans I may not be "friends" with, they will comment to me how they read "such and such" on the "internet" So I think in general, most wrestling fans that have internet at home, are in fact reading wrestling news in general on the internet. I think people just assume to quickly that just because you go online and read wrestling websites, that you are automatically going to hate McMahon/HHH/Stephanie etc etc etc.....there are plenty of people that would come to TSM, read the WWE forums and scoff at us, as much as we scoff at them. I mean we have to face the unfortunate fact that in the upcoming years, unless something drastic changes, the new generation of wrestling fans are going to be bred to believe McMahon was the creator of any and everything-prowrestling/sports entertainment related. It might be pre-mature to say this, but I think it is quite possible that there will never be a time like the 90's in Prowrestling, ever again.
  23. What it looks like is that all the former Bush aides/chiefs/consultants etc.....knew this was a doomed war from the get-go, and while they still have a chance to leave their legacy for our grandchildren to read about in history books, they are making the choice to come off as LIARS instead of IDIOTS.
  24. Tonight's show wasn't bad. Glad to see that the fans still like CM Punk and RVD the best.
  25. See this is what I don't get, the show on paper sounds decent enough as did more ECW Tuesday Shows then not, so why book the PPV so fucking awful and not? Oh well, Maybe the Heyman thing is a work afterall.
