Forrest got Sub of The Night and Griffin/Tavares was FOTN. In the greatest or ironies there was no knockout bonus because the fights were all either decision or tapout.

Mik, you tease. And he'll likely be on the undercard for a while so it's all good. -
Omg TUF N00B Kidding but seriously, Bonnar is far from the best thing on this card though that being said he usually puts on a good show,
-
Clearly based on the previews Nathan's power of flying has been replaced with the ability to grow a grimy beard.
-
Didn't read the spoilers but at this point I'm not gonna like it one bit if they get the idea that Jim and Pam are together out in the open. Based on the previews it's clear that Jim and Karen are no longer together but I'd prefer it if they got across the idea that the only time we'll see glimpses into Pam and Jim's relationship is through the camera catching them as opposed to camera-based confessionals.

He's not Anderson Silva.

As much as I'd love to see Vera murder Big Timmy I keep getting flashbacks to the Ricco finish. Vera throwing out a leg kick and catching a straight right down the pipe that puts him down, Good show, the hometown hype surrounding the main event will likely distract people from a they-could-have-done-better card. Starnes/Belcher should be solid, ditto for Bonnar/Schafer. J-Mac/Okami has huge potential to be just a straight-up awful fight. I'd say there's about a 10% chance they pull out something entertaining. Okami should just be able to take Jason down and pound him out like Ace did but Okami is a pussy and MacDonald can really only function effectively on the ground.

I'd rank Rampage, Hendo, Shogun, Jardine and Forrest all above Lyoto in terms of rankings at the moment. And while we're at it with the fantasy-booking, I'd roll with Jardine vs Wandy in December for shot at Rampage while Forrest fights either Lyoto or Houston.

I dunno, Huerta is being matched up against one of the dudes with possibly more energy then him. Regardless, should be a barn-burner. Rogers hasn't really faced anybody with the wrestling that Guida has so it'll be interesting to see how he'll react if Clay manages to impose his will. If the Evans fight from the TUF 5 finale is any indication he'll come back pissed off and wreck Guida. -
Word coming out the show is that Diego is thinking about dropping down to LW. And the reason Shogun never gassed in PRIDE is because.....well, it's pretty obvious. I shouldn't need to come out and say it, so I'll use a visual aide......

- So, Tyson Griffin is your Fighter of The Year. That's it. Done. Set in stone. Tavares shows he could hang with some of the top-level guys in the division. - If Nak had come alive in the first as opposed to the last thirty seconds of the 2'nd round and the 3rd this might have been an actual fight. Once again, Lyoto frustrates me by showing killer instinct in areas of his game but fails to capitalize on those instincts. - Fuck this fight was good. Fitch should fight the winner of GSP/Serra or Hughes with Diego facing somebody like either Koscheck in a rematch or an up and comer like Marcus Davis or Thiago Alves. Close fight with the obvious argument standing at the end being ' How much do close-sub attempts and finishing the fight play into the decison?' - There was a point in the second round where I went "Awwww fuck, Shogun is gassed" and those fears were confirmed in the third but I didn't expect that finish. Hey, I was thinking to myself earlier today ' It's a good thing I like Forrest because anybody else upsetting Shogun would really piss me off.' Great post-fight interview from Mr. Griffin to boot. - Uhhhhhh......wow? Yeah, wow. Right after Chuck got dropped in the second he was a different fighter and Jardine smelled the blood and just went for it. To even have that as a split decision just shows the problems they have nowadays with judging. Fuck, tonight fucked up the 205 rankings.

Yuh-huh. -
It's not a main-event level fight but Stevenson vs Fisher is a more deserving fight in terms of LW contenders then Penn vs TBA.
-
And either way, once again not deserving the title shot he gets.
-
Andy showing off his calves to Jim in the deleted scenes for the first episode and talking about his vertical leap was tremendous.
-
Yeah, that bitch doesn't shut up. I was watching The Job commentary yesterday and thought that Krasinski, Jones and Fischer should all have slapped her around a few times.
-
Gym Class Fallout sounds like a shitty So-Cal emo band.

So, I haven't had cable in over a week and I'm looking forward to it finally being installed on Saturday night so I can watch Ninja/Lawler fo free on TFN. -
Lambert/Gouveia off due to Wilson breaking his nose against a training partners shoulder while doing clinch work.
-
Mirko could make 205 but I'm not sure it's going to help at this point. He wasn't the killer they needed him to be against Sanchez, got smoked in every aspect of the Gonzaga fight and has now lost to a man who was beaten by Carmello Marrero.
-
A lot of people are pointing to the fact that Rogan kissed Bisping's ass in the post-fight interview with no mention of the decision as a sign that the end of the fight was set in stone.
-
I'll be interested to see the kind of heat (if any) Dana and Co. will get for the Bisping decision, seeing as because England doesn't have an Athletic Commission like in the states the UFC picked, paid for and flew over their own judges.
-
It's been out for almost a year now and it's fucking awesome. The dude who plays Grendel, for never saying a word of English in the entire movie steals the whole thing. Plus it's got Stellan Skasgaard and Gerard Butler and they're both good.
-
Ditto. They dropped the Vince/E conflict like this usually do when those things surface but I think this is going to come back at the end of the season when the boys, Billy and Ari go to Cannes for the Medillian premiere. I'll go one step further and say that since Billy is a direct parody of Vincent Gallo that they'll mimic when Gallo's movie The Brown Bunny premiered to horrible reviews at Cannes and his subsequent freak-out afterwards with Billy losing his shit when Medillian flops. Damn I'm good.

Anybody know how many fights Mirko has left on his contract? UFC is losing money on him like there's no tomorrow, considering for his debut against Sanchez he got $350,000.
