  1. Hey Nate, start a new thread, k? Or just copy and paste shit without adding anything relevant. Or that.
  2. Goldberg trying to book it from the cops after they found the 2 year old bag of coke was awesome. And yeah, awesome episode and one of the better that's been put out in a while. Seeing Ari somewhat contained for the camera was off-putting at first but it worked. Line of the night of course went to Billy: "Show me a girl who wants to be friends and I'll show you the guy she's fucking"
  3. Nate's an intelligent enough fighter to not blow his load in the opening rounds and leave himself ripe for the picking as the fight goes on. His gameplan is obvious enough but it's how he'll reach it that interests me.
  4. This is one of those posts people reference when they talk about how far Czech has fallen.
  5. It's from a character named Creed Bratton on NBC's The Office. He has a blog called Creed Thoughts.
  6. Solid night, unfortunate this show had to follow the kick-ass UFN earlier in the week. - Great night for music choices. Herman coming out to Phil Collins, Guida bouncing down to his poppy rock, MacDonald with the Metallica, Forrest brings the Dropkick Murphys and Okami wants to Kill Bill. -Smith/Herman was a fun fight, the blood was wonderful and the kneebar attempt had everybody at my place freaking out over another possible Smith comeback. - Yup. Guida/Griffin was that good. And yup, Guida got fucked, no two ways about it. - The first round of MacDonald/Singer had me worried but then I remembered that Jason was getting the shit beat out of him by Leben in the first round and I figured he'd come on strong in the second. Also, Rory Singer has one of the worst nicknames in MMA. As I said when I heard it last night, Outburst sounds like the name of a feminine hygiene product. And he came down to fucking Black Eyed Peas. - Forrest makes no effort to take the fight to the ground for some reason and more or less gets on his bicycle for the whole fight. Whatever. His entrance music ruled. - The third round of Okami/Franklin made up for the first two being dull as fuck and really had me rooting for Okami. Makes me wonder what Franklin would've done if a guy with the skills of, say, Marqurdt had put him in those kind of positions. - Hey guys, Marcus Davis is no longer a boxer. But still a really old man.
  7. This show also does a good job of booking the #1 Contender fights in the WW and LW division. The winners of GSP/Koscheck and Pellegrino/Joe will be next in line for shots at the champ, though in the case of GSP/K-os the winner will likely be waiting until sometime in 2008 for the shot. I can't remember the last time UFC had a show headlined by a title fight with two top contender fights on the undercard. Perhaps UFC 69 but that didn't turn out how they'd hoped.
  8. Knocked Up, Hot Fuzz and 300 are pretty much at the top of the heap right now.
  9. We should work towards enforcing the "Don't post unless you have something to add" rule that other boards have taken up, otherwise this folder is just going to turn into copy-and-paste city.
  10. Whatever. He'll go make more money doing Japan shows for K1 anyways. And seeing how his last two USA appearances have shown him getting throughly housed by Hughes and inciting a boo-fest with Saku, I don't think people will miss him.
  11. This still doesn't excuse the embarrassing fight with Sakuraba.
  12. Actually, now knowing what we know about the severity of Diego's staph infection I'd say the blame goes the way of 75% Koscheck and 25% Sanchez.
  13. I'd put the mascara-wearing emo tools who listen to MCR and The Used above Juggalos. At least the majority of ICP understand they're viewed as a complete joke.
  14. Kind funny this card is being called Victory. Yushin Okami vs Rich Franklin Forrest Griffin vs Hector Ramirez (Both fighters coming off losses) Tyson Griffin vs Clay Guida (Both fighters coming off losses) Jason McDonald vs Rory Singer (Both fighters coming off losses) Scott Smith vs Ed Herman (Smith coming off a loss) Eddie Sanchez vs Colin Robinson (Sanchez coming off a loss) Marcus Davis vs Jason Tan Dustin Hazelett vs Stevie Lynch
  15. Nog better use his PRIDE music.
  16. Yeah, Nishijima. Doubt that fight was worked, Hunt just happens to be fat and fairly slow so it took him some time to finish Nishi off.
  17. You guys are forgetting that their doctor is Bill from E-Mail Surveilance "He told me he can't show it to me but he has a gun"
  18. Tavares could be huge for that division if they push him right. Good looking and has a very cocky attitude but carries the skills to back it up.
  19. Godfuckingdamnawesome. Like, that'll contend with any PPV they've put up in a long, long time.
  20. How dare you all doubt the power of judu.
  21. I'm wrong. Forgive me for not having re-watched a horrible fight. And the bitchy comment was more towards Tong not you.
  22. Jake O'Brien is a very boring fighter. He can become a prospect all he wants, just don't take up any of my PPV or tv time doing it. Christ you bitches are actin' bitchy.
  23. Christ on a cracker, Sam looked shredded at the weigh-ins and Fisher looked to be in the best physical shape in quite some time. Should be an interesting fight. If Holanda can get Sam on his back with shitty-as-fuck ankle picks then Fisher taking him down shouldn't be an issue. I'll be very interested to see how Sam works off his back as he pulled out a beautiful armbar on Jay Estrada in TKO from his back and if Spencer throws down wildly (which he tends to do) then he might be in for a surprise.
  24. Ok, see, the thing is that he did none of those things against Herring. Which the majority of the JOB hatred stems from. It's not like I'm not recognizing the skills. It's that he choses not to utilize them.
