  1. What's interesting about it? It sucked then and chances are it will suck now. Even if Undertaker brings his MAT SKILLZ~! to the match, I doubt he could carry Kane.
  2. As long as Angle is solely employed by WWE he will never be considered one of the greats. The body of work simply isn't there. Oh, and his promo's suck so I can't really call him the total package. Maybe if he stopped bobbing his neck and acting like a fuckin goof he'd be taken seriously. If we were going on an overall set of criteria, Austin would be ranked highly due to his huge influence on the business and the amount of money he drew. Workrate-wise, he doesn't even register in the Top Ten.
  3. I read the same rumour at www.theonering.net but I think you've got your wires crossed (or I do). Spoiler (Highlight to Read): I read that Sauron shows up in armour just like we see him in the prologue and fights Aragorn, w/ Sauron about to kill Aragorn but at that moment Gollum falls into the fires and the ring is destroyed, thus Aragorn's ass is saved.
  4. I can't see this whole "Benoit is overrated" stuff, because the proof is right in front of your eyes. Benoit is one of the only (if not the only) worker who actually lives up to the hype. Flair, Angle, HBK and many others are overrated to shit because you can actually take their matches and body of work apart and find the flaws. I'm waiting for somebody to point out a legit flaw of Benoit as a worker (and his lack of mic skills don't count.) Austin is light years above Angle in every aspect of pro wrestling and he's much better the Flair, too.
  5. I wouldn't use the Top 100 Books as a reference if I were you. The book is purely three Flair smarks jacking off to their hero and is full of more holes then swiss fuckin' cheese.
  6. No. No it's not at all. I am now doubting as to whether or not you've read the books. They did a good job, sometimes a great job, but they were not as faithful as you say.
  7. Ahem. A certain dude named Benoit also had a pretty good (if not better) year then Austin in 2001. - Royal Rumble Ladder Match w/ Jericho - Kick ass match on RAW w/ Eddy G that nobody remembers - WrestleMania 17 Match w/ Angle - RAW Cage Match w/ Angle - Ultimate Submission match w/ Angle - 2 out of 3 Falls w/ Angle. - TLC 3 - Smackdown in Edmonton w/ Austin. The problem w/ Austin is his inconsistency. The guy can go from hot to cold in a heartbeat. I find that his main issue lies in matches where he has nothing to gain from the end result. If Austin knows he's going over (vs Rock at Mania, vs Benoit in Edmonton, vs Angle at SummerSlam) then the workrate is dramatically increased. Compare that to matches where he wasn't going over or didn't care (vs Angle at Unforgiven, vs Jericho at No Way Out, vs Hall at Mania) then you get a very different situation.
  8. I sincerely hope this person dies tommorow.
  9. Oh lord, I knew THAT crap was coming. Let's just ignore the superb selling, smart ring psychology, amazingly deep storytelling... Yeah, all that means nothing because he didn't do enough suplexes or armbars. Dude, Austin's good but don't get too crazy. He's good, but he's Kobashi good, Benoit good or Tsuruta good. He's more in the Hart/Flair area of good.
  10. Hey, welcome to the forums. Badmouth Chris Benoit around me and you're fucked for life.
  11. My afro is getting to Disco Stu levels and I have no plans on cutting it down. Keep the hair alive, CR.
  12. *Applause* Yanks be hating just 'cause we have two of the best ever.
  13. Agreed. Can a MOD give this torch a warning or something?
  14. It's not going to suck, Eddy vs Big Show will be entertaining due to the obscene amounts of cheating involved, Benoit vs A-Train will be much better then people think and Brock vs Taker could go either way, but Taker is on a hot streak lately so I'll say it should be good. They may throw in a cruiserweight clusterfuck too, so that will be spot-tastic.
  15. Maybe I haven't noticed it, or it's new, but Dr. Toms's avatar is the greatest thing in the history of the fuckin cosmos.
  16. *marks out and reminds himself to smoke a joint tonight for Jean*
  17. Vince killed pro wrestling, so fuck yes he deserves all the grief he gets.
  18. Last year at Unforgiven Taker was scheduled to job clean to Lesnar in the main event, but Taker used his backstage swing to change the finish to a DQ. "I'm not feelin' it" was the response Taker gave when the bookers told him about the clean finish.
  19. I'll taker an Undertaker match over an RVD match any day of the fuckin' week. Taker has been slowly but surely improving since jumping to SD in Sept of 2002.
  20. I did too. I marked the fuck out for H*R wearing those whomp-ass shades.
  21. Psssssssst. Haven't ya heard? Takers good now, you can't throw him off SD, he'll suffocate on Raw because nobody will be around to TAKE IT TO THE MAT with him.
  22. [simpsons Mode] Pssssst. The best meat's in the rump. [simpsons Mode Off].
  23. Fuckin A, Dama. Also, some spoilers for those who've read the books....... Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Right now I'm not even sure if Merry is going to be the one to kill the Witch King, but if he does I doubt they'll explain the significance of Merry doing it and the connection it holds.
  24. Benoit will loose here, it's just a matter of how it happens. If A-Train pins him clean w/ the Derailer or Train Wreck, then he's fucked. But I don't see that happening. Benoit will still be the one who's "put over" at the end of the match because I'm calling interference by Rhyno who gores Benoit. Train covers, Benoit kicks out. Train picks up Benoit for the Derailer and hits it, Benoit kicks out. He Bicycle Kicks Benoit, who once again kicks out. Finally he finishes him off after he hits the Train Wreck. Afterwards I can see them doing a whole "trainers attempt to help Benoit to the back but he refuses help" kinda thing. The next night on Smackdown all you need is a simple "Brock makes fun of Benoit and says he doesn't have 'it' anymore" comment and bada-bing bada-boom you've got yourself a feud. Of course, it could progress deeper then that, mainly with the audience being led to believe that this may be the last time we see Benoit going for the title.
