Pretty good? More like the best ever... More like not even close to the best ever. Then again, you think Angle vs Cena could be as good as Austin vs Hart so.........
-
It sucked in 2002 and that's with Austin actually healthy. Lord knows what this time around will be like.

If Goodridge is a beast then what the fuck does that make Fedor?

Who's next to win the world title
Lord of The Curry replied to Youth N Asia's topic in The WWE Folder
For some reason I just can't see Eddy getting it. Don't get me wrong, I'd love for it to happen but Eddy has never been in a main event title feud before, or even a main event feud for that matter. I suspect that they'll test the waters with a mini-program with Lesnar before actually pushing him all the way. -

Edge hasn't proven himself yet, when he gets back I'm sure the WWE will toss him into a big feud, see how he does and THEN maybe consider giving him the title. -

Well, that and Austin actually being able to wrestle. -

Goldberg laying down for Brock is iffy. I'm sure that Bill hasn't forgotten the "Goldberg" chants that were breaking out during the early stages of Lesnar's first title run. I can't see Goldberg vs Austin ever happening, but if it did then Goldie would definetly be doing the j-o-b. -

I can see Goldberg dropping the title to Kane. -
Just watched it today, and I both liked and hated it. The Good - Judy Marte, the actress who plays "Juicy" Judy Gonzales gives one hell of a performance for a first timer. Oh, and she's smoking hot. - The chemistry between Victor and Judy while they're together is very cool, bordering from serious passion to extreme loathing. - The fact that (aside from Judy), there is very little eye candy in this movie. None of the actors have a "Hollywood" look to them, which I found refreshing. The Bad - Constant constant CONSTANT bombardment of retarded pickup lines and stereotypical accents and portrayls of inner city kids. I know that Victor is supposed to be a playa, but his lines were God-awful and almost made me stop the movie a few times. - The story was a little weak, as they started off strong but dropped the plot very quickly in favour of a more predictable one. Anybody else see this one?
-
No, but he did the next best thing and wasted something like 15 minutes of The Two Towers w/ scenes involving Arwen WHEN SHE DOESN'T EVEN MAKE AN APPEARANCE IN THE BOOK. 15 more minutes of Gollum? Nope. 15 more minutes of Treebeard? Nope. 15 more minutes of Eomer or Faramir? Fuck nope.

*Applause for wildpegasus's post* The only problem I forsee with the match is that Benoit is going to leave on a stretcher. That guy bumps like a fuck for A-Train in a 5 minute Smackdown match, I'm scared to see what might happen if the No Mercy match goes over 10.

Do you actually see Goldberg laying down for Orton? -

Benoit and Eddy = Talented, hard working veterans who could carry the belt and have proven themselves in the ring. Oh, and they also worked for WCW. Orton and Cena = OVW-raised WWE bred pretty boys who haven't shown us dick in the ring. So, yeah, Cena or Orton will get the title before Benoit or Eddy. -
Vince wouldn't care. The only way I can see this turning out good is if the Board of Directors of WWE vote Vince out of power due to mental incompetence and replace him w/ somebody who actually knows how to book wrestling. And what I just mentioned above has a snowballs chance in hell of happening, so get ready for the shit to continue......

Brock didn't need a title win after being made Angle's bitch, he needed a slow build to restore credibility. Being shot directly back to the top of the heap isn't exactly the best way to do it, especially when he was convincingly beat by Angle twice.
-
The dialogue wasn't good, the story was fucking awesome. Let's try and distinguish between the two, because I don't understand this "The story in Underworld sucked" hate. It had great backstory, in fact, I could totally see them doing a prequel dealing with the Lucian/Sonia romance and Victor's coven. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Here's how I see the sequel going, because believe me, there will be one. There can't not be a sequel after that ending. Team #1- Michael, Selene and The Lycan Coven. Team #2- Marcus and the Death Dealers. Team #3- Kraven and the American coven of Death Dealers. Kraven will go to them and tell them that Marcus has been tainted by Lycan blood (which he has) and that Kraven is the only true elder vampire left and he'll lead them.

I would've much preferred a Thin Red Line win over a SPR win in the Oscars that year. El Satanico- You didn't think that The Pianist or Gangs deserved to win at all? I can't justify a Chicago win under any circumstances, especially when it should never have recieved the amount of nominations it did. The ironic/odd thing is that Richard Gere didn't get a nomination and his performance was the best in the whole movie.
-
Bonnie Tyler sang that "I Need A Hero" song IIRC.
-
I don't know, Mole. Chicago recieved some backlash for winning, as did A Beautiful Mind the year before. Seems that whenever a movie beats out Lord of The Rings people get pissed. Here's hoping Hollywood gives PJ and Co. their due and sets things right this March.
-
Spoiler (Highlight to Read): They also left out The Fellowship and The Rohirrhim riding to Isengard w/ Gandalf and meeting Treebeard and the finding of the Palantir, which we see at the begining of Return of The King.
-
Fuck no. It's so obvious that HHH is going to run in and pedigree Vince and re-unite w/ Steph on Smackdown.
-
If this movie doesn't get best picture I doubt I'll ever watch the Oscars again. My reasoning for it not winning in 2001 was that it was going to be saved for a trilogy, as TTT was not the best movie in 2002 by a long shot. Warning: The following spoiler gives away the beggining and end of the movie~! Proceed w/ fucking serious caution!~ Spoiler (Highlight to Read): The Scouring of The Shire isn't in the movie. However, Jackson has stolen a page from it and made the showdown between Grima and Saruman take place at Orthanc. Grima stabs Saruman from behind in front of the fellowship, then lunges at Aragorn who ducks and Grima falls off Orthanc. The end of the movie is the hobbits returning to a happy, normal Shire, w/ Frodo proceeding to the Grey Havens soon afterwards, along w/ Bilbo and Gandalf. There have been no plans so far to include the Hobbits stay in Rivendell.
-
I started one when it originally leaked but I was held down for some stupid reason. Anyways, yeah. The movie is going to be good. Really really good. I think a lot of purists are afraid to admit that this movie could be *the one*, even though from what we've seen in the trailer, it's quite possible.

The Edgeucation of Adam Copeland - Sept. 30, 2003
Lord of The Curry replied to DerangedHermit's topic in The WWE Folder
I'm still waiting for Edge to talk about the infamous "baby oil" incident w/ Bradshaw, as most rumours pointed out Edge as the rookie in question that got hog tied.
