As Kotz suggests, this debate is ridiculous --the last two weeks of the regular season will create the postseason anyway. Hypothetically, Ohio State runs the table in the regular season, while Michigan and USC have one loss each (OSU and Cal, respectively). Who makes it? Cal's schedule won't be up to snuff on USC to leapfrog them. Whoever wins between Louisville and West Virginia will still be penalized for a weak schedule. It comes back down to Michigan and USC.
