Downhome 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2004 I just keep on getting great deals. I bought another copy of Armageddon: Criterion Collection there for only $9.99 tonight. I'm about to pick up the following in a trade, and I can't wait to get it! Halloween: The Complete Collection (8 Disc Set) (R2):
Downhome 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2004 The good deals just keep on coming. I bought the 2-disc special edition of The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly at WalMart earlier today for only $7.50 because in the Target paper, they had a list of $7.50 DVDs and they had the wrong picture of TGTBATU listed, the special edition was listed where the normal single disc version should have been. Guest El Satanico Report post Posted October 24, 2004 Best Buy 2 for $20 from this past week The Beyond Psycho ('68) Funny story about Psycho... About two years ago I bought Psycho at a Flea Market for like $8, and for some reason it went straight into my cabinent not to be seen for around a year. Well one day I felt like watching it, so I get it out and for the first time I noticed a problem. I bought the god damn remake and for some reason I believed it was the original. I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention.

Oh Bubba Ho-Tep- collectors edition Dawn of the Dead (1978)- The four disc box set Friday the 13th Box Set Jason goes to hell (VHS, wasn't wasting for DVD) Texas Chainsaw Massacre (new one, cost 5 bucks for unopened DVD so why not?) Downhome 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2004 Damn Downhome...how the hell aren't you broke yet? Honest to God, I have no clue. I've been doing all of my buying just out of what I have in my PayPal account, and it doesn't seem like it ever wants to go down. I'll buy a bunch of stuff and get low on PP funds, then I'll stumble onto a great deal somewhere on a used DVD or something that is very rare and OOP, or just an insanely good price, then I'll put it up on eBay and it'll make up for all that I spent. I've also grown into an eye that can catch misprices and overall insanely good deals. I never buy anything at full price unless I just really want something. The last thing I bought at full price was Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and even then I wouldn't pay $20, I had to search for the cheapest price at a local WalMart and get that for $15, heh. I know this can't last though.

ArkhamGlobe 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2004 At a local supermarket they were selling old used VHS tapes cheaply as hell and among the less interesting titles I managed to find copies of Miracle in Milan, Lisbon Story, Pauline at the Beach and Merchant of the Four Seasons. Downhome 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2004 I did my weekly rounds again, and this is what I picked up. From a couple of pawn shops, I picked up the following: $5 each: Apollo 13: CE Star Wars: Episode I Terminator 3 $10: South Park: The Complete First Season Then I took the Roswell Season One set that I bought from Amazon for $13.xx to WalMart today, and they ended up giving me a $50.xx gift card. I then took the gift card to Sam's Club, and picked up the following with the credit: Arrested Development: Season One Hellboy 3-Disc Director's Cut
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted October 30, 2004 Then I took the Roswell Season One set that I bought from Amazon for $13.xx to WalMart today, and they ended up giving me a $50.xx gift card. How did you manage to do that?
Downhome 0 Report post Posted October 30, 2004 I never opened it. I just went to the customer service desk and told them that I recently bought the set and then said I was wondering if they would give me a gift card for it, and they did. I've done it before, and I do not feel bad about it seeing that they are just going to put it on the shelf and eventually sell it anyway.
