I think Goldberg was set to return at the cancelled Big Bang PPV in May and WCW was going to slowly set up a Goldberg-Scott Steiner program for the World Heavyweight title.

I finally bought and watched the Pillman DVD. What were the plans at Bad Blood and then onwards for the Pillman/Goldust feud?

The night after Badd Blood, Terri and Dustin were set to renew their wedding vows, but she would wind up double-crossing him and staying with Brian, stating that they had "bonded" during their 30 days together.

The night after Bad Blood, Goldust and Marlena were going to renew their wedding vows to celebrate the end of her 30 days with Pillman. During the wedding, Marlena was going to turn on Dustin and leave with Pillman.

BTW, I had only recently heard of that PPV from the pic of the poster for it. What were the plans for that show? Was it really going to be yet another "relaunch" or WCW?

Scott Steiner was 'taking out' all the top babyfaces for the past three months, and Greed would see them all return in some fashion, I'm guessing to show up and confront Steiner and show him they were back and his days as World champion were numbered.

What were the plans with Muhhamed Hassan's Title reign he was suppose to get a Summerslam 05. How far ahead were they going to book him before he was leaving?

For some reason, I had a weird prediction that HOGAN would intervene and win the title from the "foreigner" down the road, since he defeated Michaels that night.

I never heard he was ever going to win the title at Summerslam, just that he was going to get the title shot. Had the match against Batista happened, I would have fully expected him to lose, given that the match would have been taking place in Washington which, among other things, is Batista's kayfabe home town.

Who did better business in the 90's?? New Japan or All Japan?

I've always had this doubt.....mi guess would be NJ because all of those Tokyo Dome shows, but the fact that i haven't seen that much of New Japan compared to All Japan makes me wonder who made the must money in that awesome awesome era.

I'm hardly an expert on puro, but from reading Herb Kunze and such, it was pretty apparent that New Japan was doing better business than any company in the world for at least part of the 90s.

Whatever happened to the WCW tv belt? I remember hearing that Duggan auctioned it off, but I don't know what happened afterwards.

Duggan found it in the bin and defended it as a WCWSN exclusive belt. Then when Russo & Bischoff came back in April 2000 and stripped all the titles as well as made WCWSN a highlight show, they scrapped the belt.

Lashley, what were the plans with him post Great American Bash and the loss to Cena? Were they eventually gonna give him a WWE Title run? Or even an IC run? Of course we'll never know, but just wondering if they had anything long term booked for him.

Since no one knows about the Lashley question, I'll pass on that one.

Raw Inventational Battle Royal. Winner was to face the Champion after Summerslam.

Ahmed won. Was it suppose to be Ahmed vs. Vader or Ahmed vs. Shawn Michaels?

If not, what was the point of it then.

When were Scott Hall and Kevin Nash's names revealed in WCW? I know for a few months they were just simply known as the "Outsiders" and not by their individual names. When did they officially come out?

My educated guess is it was made during lean times in the WWF and thus they didn't have the budget to create a better game.

Here's more of an open ended question along the same lines; Worst Wrestling Video Game Ever? I'm inclined to go with WCW Backstage Assault. I didn't think it was possible but that game managed to be as bad if not worse than WCW's television product at the time. WWF In Your House and ECW Anarchy Rulz were also lousy.

Backstage Assault was the most disappointed I've ever been after buying any video game, probably. That was bad stuff. They somehow took Mayhem (which was okay) and made it considerably worse.

Technically there's worse wrestling games on handheld consoles and stuff like that. But as far as straight wrestling games go, Backstage Assault is probably the worst.

As far as WWF Warzone...I seem to remember reading about Acclaim simply not having the capability to update the rosters very quickly, like the companies basically can now. I remember them doing a vote to add three more guys, and Kane and the Headbangers were chosen. I think part of it was that 3D wrestling games were still a pretty new thing at the time, so they didn't have the capability to make tons of characters quickly.

The lamest thing about that game was that in one player mode, you couldn't even pick your opponent for a single match. The cage match was also incredibly inauthentic...the cage looked like it was about 50 feet high, and it was really awkward to win that thing.

Edit: Oh yeah, the other thing that sucked was that they decided to go with a "fighting game" control scheme...meaning you'd have to do like "up-left-down-square" to do a simple move like a bodyslam. I could barely ever do Austin's stunner. Yeah, nice move, AccLAME.

I'll give ECW Anarchy Rulz a pass. IIRC, every single person on the ECW roster at the time was in the game so that was a plus. Plus, the moves were slightly easier to pull off then in previous Acclaim games. And they added Brimstone, Dumpster, & Parking Lot matches. I was a mark for doing team rumble matches w/ The Network.

As for WCW Mayhem, that was the eptiome of a decent wrestling game in almost every category.

Review WCW Thunder! Oh and don't forget that it really sucked.

As for Warzone, I actually really liked it at the time. Sure it got dated incredibly fast, but I thought it was a fun game with a limited roster, and then Attitude came out with a huge roster and all was solved. Of course the engine got stale really quick and Attitude was about the end of its usefulness, but Warzone and Attitude were good stop gaps until we got WM2000.

It was kind of annoying how out dated Warzone's roster was from the moment it was released, but I didn't really mind because I was happy to have Bret Hart and HBK in it even if Bret was gone and HBK was retired. The only people I never liked playing as in it were the Head Bangers, which seemed like a wierd addition to the game.

Just finished WM 19...few ?'s

Was Safeco sold out? At times it looks like the upper seats on the opposite side of the ramp are empty.

Did Lesnar miss any time due to his botched SSP?

Was Hogan under contract from early 02 to mid 03 or did he get paid by the appearance?

1. They reported that it was but who knows what the real number was.

2. Lesnar missed a week or two of TV. I know he wasn't at Smackdown a few days later and Stephanie explained his absence from the SSP.

3. I think Hogan was getting paid by appearance.
