The Kane Storyline

Recommended Posts

Obviously The biggest story for The Raw Brand this summer has been The rebuilding Kane Project. However, It seems that ever since The angle where Kane set J.R. on fire, the storyline has slowed to a crawl. My question Is what more do you think could be done to spice up this episodic storyline? Or do you think nothing more can be done, and everything Is progressing nicely? Thoughts?

Naturally, the obvious answer he should continue to be built up as a monster tweener, destroying everything in his path.

Unfortunately, we've run out of big guys on RAW for him to beat up.

What we need is for The Rock to return and have him bump his ass off in usual Rocky fashion for Kane.

Rock could REALLY make Kane a superstar, and since Vince seems to be in love with Kane at the moment, I don't see why the feud wouldn't have his complete attention and booking ability.

Other than that, maybe Shawn Michaels? I really felt for him when he sold the back injury for Hunter, if he could repeat that with Kane on the other end, it could be interesting.

rock would ruin the "Monster" edge kane has built unless rock can severely butcher his character...

The "Rock coming back and putting someone over" formula must now be catching on even with the dimmest mark. It doesn't make The Rock any less over, its just way too predictable. He's done it with Brock, Hurricane, Booker and Goldberg now.

Funny how only the guy on Smackdown managed to benefit from the rub.

Seriously the only thing they can do with him is give him the title. Either this or have the Rock giving him the rub are the only things that could work.

I think that they need to work Taker into it.

Perfect World:

Taker runs in and costs Kane the match vs RVD at Summerslam. Kane beats the hell out of them both in retaliation. Kane vs Taker at Unforgiven, with Kane beating the hell out of Taker, injuring him and knocking him out of competition for a few months. Kane goes on to win the Title. Taker comes back and wins the Royal Rumble. Taker vs Kane at Mania, with Taker winning and then announcing his retirement, vacating the title and setting up a Tourney for the belt.

Of course, I know some people will not like the idea of Kane/Taker as half of Mania XX's Main Event, but you get Angle/Lesnar as the other half and it would sure beat HHH vs ??? for the title at this point right now.

The only good thing about Kane right now is his storyline, because as soon as he starts to wrestle in an actual match, people will start remembering how much he truly sucks as a wrestler, hey, no wonder he hasn't wrestled in weeks.

For a Hoss I think he's entertaining in the ring. I don't see any problems with him wrestling. And why not let him get the belt like Marvin suggested. Kane has payed his dues and deserves it.

Well what other ideas can they borrow from ECW?

1) Kane is already using the Taz towel

2) The Riot Squad

3) Why not get Paul Heyman as his manager so Kane can chokeslam wrestlers the way 911 did.

How is a towel over your head stealing a gimmick? I guess Tyson, Lewis, Bowe, Jones Jr. and any other boxer/MMA fighter who has a towel over their head during an entrance could sue for gimmick infringment then.

At any rate...feed Goldberg to Kane. Build it up, have it look like Goldberg might stand a shot (take Kane out with a spear, but then have him sit up, etc.). My only concern is that now with Booker T. out with an injury, RVD and Goldberg are really the only faces with fan interest on RAW. It's probably only a matter of time before Kane's escapades turn him into the anti-hero face.

I do not remember watching a boxer doing interviews with the trademark towel on head.

The only thing they can do with Kane destroying everyone on tv is give him a title shot. If Booker T will be out for a long period of time, might as well have Kane "injury" him on tv and win the IC title.

Umm...sorry raz, but Booker already lost the title.

I agree with the "feed Goldberg to Kane" idea. Goldberg wins the chamber, jobs to Kane at Unforgiven.

Boy that Kane is a genius! First he burns JR by throwing a match weeks ago, then he...burns JR by throwing a match tonight!

Kane = Pun Master!

Now THAT would be cool. Have Kane wind up being incarcerated/committed to an asylum for a month or so, only to have Heyman get him out. Kane would get a new look, and things would be great.

Everybody has got to be kidding. This isn't the first time they have tried to get Kane over as a "monster" See he can beat up the mid-card all he wants, but then once he climbs higher, no one is going to job to him. Then once again his "monster" gimmick will become a tame & comedic Kane.
