If that were to be the case then the wild card team plays the division winner with the second best record. New York vs. KC Seattle vs. Boston Atlanta vs. L.A. Of course now with Mulder out for the year and Zito stuck in mediocrity and the lack offense the A's suddenly are a long shot to make it to the postseason.
