Downhome Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Well, apparently both Al Snow and Coach are now heels, so I guess we'll get to see how they play that off, if they even do, tonight. Have we ever had an "official" all-heel announcing team? Do any of you guys have a match listing for the show tonight? Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest Trivia247 Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 maybe during the nWo's takeover of Nitro
Downhome Posted September 7, 2003 Author Report Posted September 7, 2003 maybe during the nWo's takeover of Nitro We had Bishoff/Dibiase commentate a match here and there, but it was nothing more than a gimmick part of the nWo storyline as far as I remember. The most they ever did was a match here and there, very a very short time, and then the very first Souled Out PPV.
Downhome Posted September 7, 2003 Author Report Posted September 7, 2003 Val Venis vs. Slater ________ is up first.
Phoenix Fury Legdrop Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Holy crap, Slater Vayne was announced as being from Bayside, California. That rules in so many ways.
Downhome Posted September 7, 2003 Author Report Posted September 7, 2003 Holy crap, Slater Vayne was announced as being from Bayside, California. That rules in so many ways. How does that rule? Whatever the reason, I'm actually liking a few of Slater's moves.
Downhome Posted September 7, 2003 Author Report Posted September 7, 2003 Oh my God, Venis is using psychology on Heat.
Downhome Posted September 7, 2003 Author Report Posted September 7, 2003 Rob Conway vs. somebody is up next.
Downhome Posted September 7, 2003 Author Report Posted September 7, 2003 Conway/Spike right now. This is the first time I've ever seen Conway work an actual match, I do believe.
bob_barron Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Holy crap, Slater Vayne was announced as being from Bayside, California. That rules in so many ways. How does that rule? Whatever the reason, I'm actually liking a few of Slater's moves. Because Slater was the last name of AC Slater on Saved by the Bell. Which was based in... Bayside, California

NYU Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 How is the announcing ? Is it actual heel announcing or is it just as bland as it always is ?
Downhome Posted September 7, 2003 Author Report Posted September 7, 2003 How is the announcing ? Is it actual heel announcing or is it just as bland as it always is ? They keep saying how great each of them did against Lawler, but other than that, I see little to no difference.
Dandy Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Conway looked pretty decent to me, except your inventive mid-match move should not be better than your generic finisher. Grab a finisher, Rob. Anyone know what he used in OVW?
Dandy Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 And, I haven't watched Heat that clocely over the past month, but I would swear that Coach's commentary is more exciting than his efforts on Raw while JR was out. Maybe it is the taped factor, or maybe it's just me.
Downhome Posted September 7, 2003 Author Report Posted September 7, 2003 Tommy Dreamer vs. Jimmy Yang is up now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Downhome Posted September 7, 2003 Author Report Posted September 7, 2003 That match just made my Pro. Wrestling week. Damn WWE, sign Yang right now, and give Dreamer an f'n push!
Dandy Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Killer DDT sell by Yang! That one was a better sell than RVD's straight up and down death sell.
Zack Malibu Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Holy crap, Slater Vayne was announced as being from Bayside, California. That rules in so many ways. How does that rule? Whatever the reason, I'm actually liking a few of Slater's moves. Because Slater was the last name of AC Slater on Saved by the Bell. Which was based in... Bayside, California SBTB was based in Palisades, CA. The HIGH SCHOOL was Bayside High. Yes, it does rule. I would have taped HEAT just for that.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 Good Lord I think we have a competitor to RVD in "Best Sell of a DDT". The fact that RVD does it hands free still gives him an edge but Jimmy's 5 second handstand was still nice. However if he ever got signed by the WWE he'd probably have to get rid of the run up the chest dropkick and the twisting moonsault. Wouldn't want to risk injury (aka show up the main eventers). Yang in the cruiserweight division would rock though.
CanadianChick Posted September 7, 2003 Report Posted September 7, 2003 That was an enjoyable match. Now where is Stevie...?
Conspiracy_Victim Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 Wow a Bob Holly reference. He still exists?
Guest TheArchiteck Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 They showed Yang/Dreamer match!?!?!?!?!??! Dammit they said it was a dark match!!!!! I didn't even bother watching the show.
Slickster Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 Did they announce the Unforgiven PPV theme?
BoboBrazil Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 Fuck, I didn't know Dreamer vs Yang would be on Heat. I would have tried to catch that match.
