Guest edge007 Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 I didn't watch RAW...but... I heard that HHH couldn't do the Pedigree properly, because of his injury. I also heard that because of this, the end result on a Pedigree to Goldberg, wasn't a Pedigree at all, and that it one of the biggest botches in a while (apart from the Spike thing though, I guess). Has anyone got a clip of this fabelled Pedigree from this past RAW? I wanna laugh, and laugh, and laugh....!
Ted the Poster Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 Believe me, this was one of the sloppiest botches in a while. On another board that I use situations like this one are called "pulling a Gayda". I could probably get you the clip, but it wouldn't be until after Smackdown tonight, because I'll be at college until like 6:30 this evening. I'll post here again when I've got it, and you can PM me your email address if you want. It'll be small enough to be sent as an attatchment.
Guest thrall585 Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 2003 Dragon isn't anywhere close to 1996 Dragon and is not in WWE's elite workrate group. Mysterio should replace him in your sig.
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 There's a link in Downhome's thread about Raw.
Guest TheGame2705 Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 It didn't like his fault so much as Berg's.
Fökai Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 The first one is so-so. The second botched Pedigree is directly attributed to HHH's injury.
MarvinisaLunatic Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 Well at least HHH is going away for 2 months, so he'll be healed from this injury by the time he comes back ready to take the belt back.
Fökai Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 Well at least HHH is going away for 2 months, so he'll be healed from this injury by the time he comes back ready to take the belt back. You know the title scene is a futile situation when you're using that rhetoric.
Spaceman Spiff Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 Right-click to save. That's all Goldberg's fault in this clip. He went down way too early.
Guest Deviant Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 That hideously bad Pedigree is Goldberg's fault. You can see it on that clip nice and clearly. HHH has him set, when HHH goes down a little for the jump in the Pedigree, Goldberg takes this as his cue to fall down, thus making both look like retards.
Crimson Platypus Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 And I directly attribute that to Goldberg being a steaming pile of dog shit. It's not like the pedigree is some new innovative move, how long has HHH been doing it? I could take a better pedigree right now with 0 practice. If Shitberg watched other wrestlers matches he would have known how to take the move. Instead, since he doesn't give a shit about the business, he goes out there and makes them BOTH look like asses. Also, I heard HHH tell Shitberg to "DO IT AGAIN".
Guest Ghettoman Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 Get off Goldberg, Triple H did his little jerk thing and Goldberg went to sell it, typical miscommunication thats hardly anything new. It's been done before and will probably happen again.
Guest Suicide King Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 Umm... no. If y'all can hate on Trips for a botched Pedigree that wasn't his fault, I can hate on Goldberg for a botched Pedigree that was his fault. So nyah.

It's been done before and will probably happen again. The point that I think that you are missing here is that HHH always does his "little jerk thing". Every single time. And yet Goldberg still messed it up. I am guessing it's because Goldberg never watches other wrestlers matches. I could be wrong but I doubt it considering all the talk about Goldberg not respecting anyone or the business.
Guest Suicide King Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 Yeah, Platypus is probably right. But at least Goldberg is trying to vary his in-ring product a little recently, with his press slam into 3 other moves and such. I nearly messed myself a couple of weeks ago when he did that rolling leg scissors into the crucifix kneebar.
humongous2002 Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 They both suck, problem solved.
dubq Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 Blah blah blah, who gives a rats ass if the Pedigree was botched or not? It wasn't even that bad of a botch. If anything, casual mark fans will think that Goldberg was "collapsing" from the beatdown.
Enigma Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 Remember when HHH and Vince botched the first Pedigree attempt during the HHH/Steph Vow Renewing ceremony? Think of that Pedigree only 10x worse.
buffybeast Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 I figured HHH botched the first pedigree because Goldberg had blood and sweat all over his body.
Guest Trivia247 Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 looks like it was a mutual screw up... HHH too hesistant to hit the move because of his groin and goldberg slips.

If anything, casual mark fans will think that Goldberg was "collapsing" from the beatdown. That's exactly what I though when i watched it. It did look really sloppy, but thinking that Goldberg was to beaten to stand made it work.
Crimson Platypus Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 Except for HHH leaning over and yelling at Goldberg to "DO IT AGAIN".
Steviekick Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 i didn't see HHH yelling at Goldberg to do it again...i'm not doubting that it happened, either.
Steviekick Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 you know what i mean, dude. Sheesh, someone is a semantics narc.
Austin3164life Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 This was a joint botch. Triple H let him go very sloppy, and thus Goldberg fell too fast and it looked terrible. The funny thing was the look on Flair's face.

Guest hosserific Posted September 11, 2003 Report Posted September 11, 2003 that looks like when me and my friends try to do the pedigree on his trampoline......and thats pretty damn sloppy
Guest JRE Posted September 12, 2003 Report Posted September 12, 2003 The botch was JRs fault...he should have covered it by saying Berg collapsed....instead he said "another pedigree!"
