BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2003 -Amazing Red is expected to be out for a year after doing further damage to an injured knee while wrestling in Japan last month. While no one is happy to see Red suffer such a serious injury, there has been some "I told you so's" coming from wrestlers and promoters who warned Red to let the injury heal before getting back in the ring. pwtorch vip update

Silence 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2003 Damn, he's about as stupid as Kurt Angle about serious injuries.
Fökai 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2003 (edited) Damn, he's about as stupid as Kurt Angle about serious injuries. Angle took proper care in training despite the neck injury. After advising with Dr. Andrews and the higher ups at WWE, the company asked him to take some time off from the original diagnosis to rest for the title match. On that note, considering it was WRESTLE-FREAKIN-MANIA, Kurt got the PPV payout as well. Red seemed to ignore everyone's advice and kept working a full schedule despite the original injury. Going on an overseas tour after the first diagnosis only worsened the knee, especially with all of the airline travel. No contest here, but this still is a bummer to find out about. EDIT: (referring to post below this) Ahh. Sorry for the misunderstanding, R_E. Edited September 13, 2003 by bravesfan

Angle currently has a knee/hamstring injury, yet keeps working through it and doesn't get anything done about it. That's what I was referring to.

Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2003 I feel bad for Red. I wonder if he'll be in the TNA game Actually, what I'm more curious about is if Red managed to get one of those written contracts to get his health issurance covered.
Ted the Poster 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2003 Red's match with Low-Ki was the first TNA match I ever saw, and it owned more than almost all the matches I'd seen up until then. I'm going to go watch that now just so I can mark out with a Don West "Go Red go". Come back, Red!

Guest Coffey Report post Posted September 15, 2003 I'm not a big fan of Amazing Red. Truthfully, I'm actually happy that he won't be on TV for awhile. He blows more spots than Gail Kim.

Guest Rob Edwards Report post Posted September 17, 2003 lol I'd think you were in the majority actually, Red can only really have spot fans simply because he doesn't really do anything else anyway it's a pity but its his own stupid fault, Hopefully this forces him to review his style somewhat
Styles 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2003 At least he'll get the time to heal. At the rate he was going, this kid would be broken down by 25.
