Damaramu 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2003 Well, no. He doesn't say anything like that until RVD and Christian are face-to-face and RVD does his thumb-point thing. Then, JR goes "I still say RVD is the greatest athlete to have never won the World Heavyweight Title. But the Intercontinental Title. So prestigious." Hey, I'm no JR fan at all, but let's hate him for the stuff he ACTUALLY says. He's been giving RVD verbal blowjobs lately, surprisingly, so I wouldn't bash him on it. Well of course he's been giving him verbal blow jobs. It'll make HHH look that much better when he beats RVD at WM.
Styles 0 Report post Posted October 3, 2003 No, I know he usually says "hes the greatest to never hold the world championship" blah blah, but I just rewatched the match and JR indeed says "he'll never be world champion, but the intercontinental title is still presitigous". Check it out if you have it on tape.

But the Intercontinental Title...so prestigous." It's JR's poor grammar that makes is sound funny.

Scroby 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2003 I've noticed something....Jim Ross is the only person in the damn company that realizes that RVD should be a world champion, or should have won it by now and be a former world champion. Now everyone speaks up on how RVD was stiff with a few people and how a common mishap almost stop HHH from speaking (this is a bad thing?), but of course you don't think its cause RVD was sticking with the style no one has any problems with before hand? The only reason why anyone was complaining about RVD was because he was in WWE, now if it was ECW or WCW no one would have said a damn thing...ok well maybe in WCW but it would have been every once in awhile. But I mean come on you mean to tell me Austin didn't hit someone on accident? What also gets me is that people think he did it on purpose or something. The only problem was was this..Angle and Austin couldn't adjust to RVD's style, so they got popped in the mouth or whatever..oh but wait didn't Angle drop RVD on his head in a german? And more importantly wasn't it on purpose?

And more importantly wasn't it on purpose? I wouldn't call HHH having his trachea crushed a 'common mishap'. Workers were complaining about RVD because it wasn't just occasionally he was busting people open by accident (I've never heard ANYONE say it was on purpose, nevermind Angle dropping RVD on his head...which I don't recall happening anyway...where did you hear this ridiculous stuff?), it was becoming a regular occurrence, mostly due to extremely stiff Van Daminators, which he now hardly ever does as a result. 2GOLD 0 Report post Posted October 4, 2003 How do you not stiff kicking a chair against someone's head? Sorry, but guys in the WWE unable to handle the Vandaminator is not 100% the fault of RVD. It takes two to do that move, not one. Messing up a straight kick to the face or other part of the body is one thing, but a kick into a chair as 100% the fault of RVD? No way. Anyone remember back in 2001 when Kurt Angle's wife was making angry statements over how she was pissed at RVD for busting open Angle every time they wrestled? I thought that was pretty fucking hilarious. Imagine if Angle had been in ECW...

Guest THE MIGHTY THOR Report post Posted October 6, 2003 How about this, if Angle was stucked on RAW instead of Rob, would he be able to have the same great matches he had with Eddy,Rey,Benoit,Edge and Lesnar?Imagine Kurt facing a Christian,Book,HHH or an Orton, the only ones i could see him having good matches with are Y2J and HBK. cabbageboy 0 Report post Posted October 6, 2003 Trust me, Jim Ross didn't say anything like "RVD won't EVER be world champion." If he ever did it would be a pure accident and what he would mean is that RVD is the best guy who hasn't won it yet. Seriously, this has got to be some sort of long running angle doesn't it? As in JR keeps saying it and then RVD finally gets his big breakout win.

I just meant that if he cried about getting busted open ONCE, he wouldn't have lasted in bloodthirsty Philly. He was going to work for ECW, but when he appeared at a show he was disgusted/offended by what he saw.
