Fantasy NBA League?

Recommended Posts

Er...what's the yahoo info to join the league!?! heh, might help some

I haven't created it yet, as I don't know everyone's feeling on the draft. As the choice must be made before you create the league.

However, I've got everything set if that's the choice we are going.

Besides, I wanted to see what people felt on the scoring system and stuff BEFORE I set it up.

I said -3 up top since a guy who gets 5 TO's in a game still loses 15 points whereas if it's -5 it's 25 which is pretty strong

Hm... True then. Edit -3 it is.

And so are we going with an offline draft then?

I think TOs should be two or three at most.

I also don't think that you should be penalized for personal fouls.

Ok... Now I have one for PFs and one not.

So does anyone favor PFs being negatives or no?

I'd assume so, seems like everybody's cool with the offline draft

Ok then... If we are doing this offline, what date and time works for everyone?

Saturday, 7 PM ET/4 PM Pacific maybe since I'm not sure if the afternoon would be good for every1.

Just take it off as a lot of teams would be hindered by PF's(Imagine if they draft Rasheed Wallace, heh)

Hm... Good point. Ok PFs are off, but is everyone fine with the scoring system otherwise (TOs now -3).

And weekly or daily on roster changes?

As soon as I get that set up, I'll set up up the league.

Normally if you do a head to head, you get in your players before each match up.

If there are no game limits, I think daily is fine.

If there are game limits, I think you should get them in before the match up. That way it prevents people from stocking their line up daily for the first 10 weeks and after that they will end up running nobody out there and handing wins to whoever plays them.

I say daily since I always forget to change them if they're weekly(And if a guy gets injured, it screws up your week)

True. That makes sense.

So it's Daily Roster Changes.

Scoring chart:

Field Goals Made (+2)

Free Throws Made (+1)

Three Points Made (+3)

Points Scored (+person score)

Total Rebounds (+amount of rebounds)

Assists (+1.5)

Steals (+3)

Blocked Shots (+2)

Turnovers (-3)

Times Fouled out (-10)

Technical Fouls (-3)

Flagrant Fouls (-10)

Positioning of Offline Draft Roster:

1) Marvinslunatic

2) Agent Bond34

3) Cuban Linx

4) the pinjockey

5) Will Scarlet

6) Mindless Agression

7) Mr. J

8) alkeiper

9) razateca

10) Smells the ratings!!

11) Sandman9000

12) cartman

13) Lightning Flik

14) DawnBTVS

15) alfdogg

16) Dangerous A

It will reverse in order every round. So if you start as #1 in the first round, you'll be #16 in the second round, and #1 in the third round, and so on.

I based it off of who joined up with this idea, as that would be the best way to pick who should go where in the draft.

Just to make sure that the bottom rankings get a fair chance of getting good players. Is this alright with everyone?

But brand expansion always works :)

Not always.

Besides, I think having it in one league would be better. With 16 players, we can still have a playoff where even if you aren't one of the best teams, you could still be in the playoffs (as we could have a 16 team playoff).

Might have to change amount of people on the bench, but we'll have to see.

I'm also given an Injuried Reserve Listing, so we can have 2 people on the bench and give some leeway to that as well. So that if someone goes down, you can put the person on IR and then sign someone to take his place (or so I assume).

Different rules and the other league would be for hardcore fans.

Um... Would it matter, hardcore or not?

Seriously, why not just have it in the same league? No point of it really being in two seperate leagues.
