If you ever want to kill somebody...

I thought about this when Shane murdered Kane (again) on Raw. Just as probably everyone else probably thought the same thing. How come the writers in the WWE (or wrestling in general) always come up with the worst excuses for getting away with a crime? I'm not talking about the small stuff, like wrestler A attacking wrestler B with a steel chair in the parking lot. I'm talking about Austin dropping a car on HHH or Shane kicking Kane into an inferno and then saying, "Die, you son-of-a-bitch!" I know it's fiction and all but the WWE aways shows itself as "reality-based". They talk about real-life injuries or the Rock making a movie. But when a wrestler commits a crime it's either "he didn't press charges" or nothing is mentioned at all. Shane better walk away next Raw with attempted 1st degree murder or else it's going to look incredibly stupid.

Or Jim Ross trying to say that he didn't know if it was intentional or not.

Well gee......trapping a guy in a car and then putting a 2x4 on the gas sure does seem like it's intentional. Maybe Shane meant to put it on the brake....

Oh and....Shane goes over Kane....AGAIN!

So Kane's dead, again? You've got to think that his insurance company must be starting to get a little suspicious about all these recent claims...

At least this time he out SMARTED him and didn't out FIGHT him.

I love it when no one presses charges... As if it's up to you if someone attempted to murder you, whether or not they walk away.

Kane should've no sold everything, smiled, maybe punched out a considered and shocked Austin or Bischoff..then taken the ambulance for a spin. Serious voice that one, JR!

Lets count up all of the attempted murders in the last few years..

WM XV, where UT hanged Bossman.

One one reasonable answer:

Multiple Kanes!

"I shall create a grand clone army..."

Well, that would explain how he was in a mental institution during the same time he was supposedly fucking the corpse of Katie Vick.

Don't say that.

That means Vince funded the cloning process...

...and means he might have stockpiled clones of Stephanie in his basement.

Exactly...

...heck, the Sable that we see now might not be the REAL Sable...but an incredibly lifelike duplicate.

As lifelike as Sable gets, anyway.

However, I doubt it on the basis that Nash and Trips would probably have Vince clone them some nice, new, young legs.

The odd thing is that (at least in my perspective) Shane came off as rather heelish in his actions. I think the marks are starting to see through Shane and actually WANT Kane to beat his ass.

The whole Shane/attempted murder bit was fucking retarded. No entertainment value whatsoever.

I bet (and hope) that it was a channel changing segment. I am embarassed to be a wrestling fan after watching that. Not because it was attempted murder, but because it was stupid. No one believes it for a second on top of Shane gets one over on Kane, AGAIN! (that one was for Ripper, who insisted that Shane was the "perfect" guy to put Kane over)

Because, generally, the idea is that wrestlers are big tough guys who'd rather settle things by beating the shit out of eachother than in a court of law.

JR: Ladies and gentlemen moments ago there was a terrible accident..

Jerry Lawler: Accident what are you talking about accident?

love how Lawler kept nailing JR about Kane like he nailed Coach about JR and him not really wanting him to come back.

just waiting for JR to just snap and say Yes Damn it... Im glad it happens and I Hope he DIES and goes to Hell you Happy AHHHH!

then next week Kane comes out beats the hell out of JR....then turns to Lawler and say..

Hmm didn't you call me the Big Red Retard from 99-00?

and beat him to a bloody plup

No one said anything when Hogan killed the Giant. And still no one said anything when Hogan was raped in the ring in front of everyone.

HEY!! He WAS the perfect guy to put him over. Then they wrote it wrong.

If the writers were SANE Shane would've been the perfect guy to go at Kane at Summer Slam and get thrown (THROWN, NOT JUMP...THROWN) off something really high and have JR screaming "Dear lord, that monstar KILLED SHane. DEAR LORD!!!!!!!!" and have them do the serious voice and Shane disappears for a year "recovering from injuries" I would like to see someone tell me who else would have pushed this gimmick better if done correctly.

THEY fucked it up, my statement still stands.

They could've used any number of actual roster members. Who cares is Kane fucks up Shane "I'm here because of my daddy" McMahon?

The reason Shane was wrong for the job of putting over Kane is because he is a McMahon. No one is going to give a shit if Kane paralyzes the son of the owner. Plus Shane had no intention of putting Kane over in this feud, or else he would've already given him something. To date, Shane has given Kane nothing in their feud unless you count the hospital beatdown where Kane poured blood on to Shane instead of Kane opening up Shane. Then Shane almost literally "murders" Kane.I know fans are supposed to get behind a smart babyface, but when the heel can't physically put the face in any peril and always gets outsmarted, then no one is going to care about the feud, period.

My point is Shane is the wrong man for the job of putting Kane over because he had no intention of doing it and in the process, is hurting Kane's character. And don't give me the writing excuse. He has just as much sway and influence as his sister does and he is controlling the booking of this horrible program.

Whats the logic in giving the HEEL a potentially career ending injury that he will recover from and be triumphant?

There is no logic. Just like next week when Kane returns with tape on his head and destroys Shane to carry on this silly feud.

Who on the roster could have had a possibly have had enough heat for the crowd to care but could afford being gone for a prolonged time selling injuries that COULD have pushed this storyline to the moon.

If done CORRECTLY, Shane is the perfect person. Instead they decided to make Shane the victor in most of the fights. That is bullshit, but on paper and writen with common sense, Shane is a better choice then say...RVD who would be better to keep on screen instead of having him gone for months to sell injuries. A character that isn't a normal entity is the perfect one for what they were doing with the character. Like it or not, his Tombstoning Linda got the Kane storyline more heat than his "Look at me set JR on fire and beat up Rico and Tommy Dreamer...well, they're back now and seemingly have gotten over it, but I was so badass when I did that to them". Linda hasn't been seen since(thanks) and if they had done the same with Shane, it definately would have gotten the crowd caring even more.

Instead they decided to make SHane a super man and destoryed the gimmick. But back when I said it, Shane was the best one for the job.

Maybe they're bringing back the mask...

Not that I give two shits about Shane and his ego trip. I'm still on a high after watching that Tampa/Indy barnburner last night. What a ride!

Exactly.

Wrestling 101: Heel does dastardly deed to face resulting in

a) face makes triumphant comeback in spite of his injuries and garners heat for the courage and toughness, heel garners heat for the act and attacks on injured body part during match

-or-

b) face falls as a result of his weakness from the injuries giving him heat for being tough enough to battle with them, heel gets heat for cheating to win and winning only because of it

Only way I'd have Shane go over Kane at SummerSlam would be if it were used to further the Kane/RVD feud.

As for the "accident" angle...so much wrong with it. For one, the fact that there were multiple, stationary cameras documenting the limo's impact completely takes away what little realism the incident had in the first place. Secondly, they never should've put something that serious so early in the show, because there's no way for the announcers to properly sell the angle without taking away from the other matches. I know they gave it a pretty hard sell last night, but JR's and Lawler's commentary still left me with a sort of "Oh well..Kane's dead, let's move on with the show" kinda vibe. I may be asking for a bit much, but the commentary took away from the realism of the whole thing, as did the reactions of the wrestlers and the General Managers. The whole thing just screams "it's all fake", and that's not good.

Although, for the record, I think it would've been kinda cool if Kane pulled himself from the wreckage and beat Shane's ass.
