Lil' Bitch 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2003 a lot of people are talking about another Austin release for early November. It's not listed on Amazon for preorder or anything like that, so can anybody confirm if this DVD will indeed be released (with source, please?) or is it just especulation? A DVD titled "WWE Stone Cold Says So" is set for release on 11/25. Credit: Prowrestling.com
Guest The Decadent Slacker Report post Posted October 15, 2003 Okay, so why exactly can't WWE commission a group of producers or what have you to go back & edit the logo out on a match-by-match basis? Like just blacken it or chop off the F. If they do it on a per DVD basis, it wouldn't be as time consuming, i'd think.
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2003 Because the WWE at the time had their logo elsewhere... on the apron, on shirts, etc. etc. WWE released "Cause Stone Cold Said So" back in what, 1997?
RavishingRickRudo 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2003 The WWE should just offer to donate X million dollars to the WWFund in exchange for the right to use the old footage. I'm sure the WWE's lawyers could work something out.
Jobber of the Week 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2003 Isn't the point of requesting extras, the fact that you want them unclipped? More like so you can relive the memory of them. Else I wouldn't have bought WM16 for that WM History disc as it's clipped up quite a bit, too. I don't care about clips myself as long as it's not clipping every few seconds like something absurd. I think we have to see what they do with the Monday Night Wars DVD and then make judgment on how far they can go.
BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2003 WWE is working on Mick Foley and Kurt Angle multi disc sets as well as one on hte Monday Night Wars according to Bryan Alvarez.
Guest DR PHIL Report post Posted October 15, 2003 I don't know when the settlement was done, but on the shawn micheals from the vault disc the wwf logo appears. Is it solely the attitude era logo or that everything before it?
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 15, 2003 It's the Scratch logo not the block logo which is why HBK was just fine since he wreslted all in the pre and post scratch era...
Styles 0 Report post Posted October 15, 2003 The WWE should just offer to donate X million dollars to the WWFund in exchange for the right to use the old footage. I'm sure the WWE's lawyers could work something out. You're probably right but Vince is too subborn, and I believe the Fund was trying to extort like 90 million dollars from them for the rights... Guest renegade v.1 Report post Posted October 16, 2003 I wouldn't mind the wwe releasing a few ecw or wcw dvd's that would be good cause most of that stuff is just awsome shit. The only wwe dvd i have bought was the Hardy Boyz - Leap of Faith and that was pretty good. I know this has been said but a dvd history of the tag titles would b awsome. Jack_Bauer 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2003 Definately bring out a best of each year, one month after the other or something, and then bring them out at the end of each year. It could be the top ten matches IN FULL instead of the clip job we got on their last best of.
Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted October 16, 2003 Have you read the rules, Mr. lowercase monotone? All we here at the SmartMarks.com ask is that you be literate and nothing else. I mean, you don't even have to be smart, just look at Eagan. Capitalisation is a tough area of the english language to master, but keep at it and I'm sure you'll manage. Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted October 17, 2003 VINCE MCMAHON'S Greatest Matches Volumes 1-125. O_o I didn't think that McMahon has even HAD 125 matches...let alone 125 volumes worth of it. He's had many....like his classics against Dr. Tom Prichard and him and Shane used to wrestle every weekend. There also is tons of family footage of him vs. Steph as talked about on this thread. But just as a warning I don't think they will add any extra footage of the backstage match between Vince vs. Nailz.
Austin3164life 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2003 I think it would be a great idea if the WWE made a "Greatest Feuds" DVD not only from the WWF, but from WCW and ECW as well.

Jebus 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2003 Work on getting 1993 to have more then 3 matches... Hypothetical Top 10 Best of 1993 DVD: 1- Money Inc. vs. Steiners (Cage Match) 2- Bret Hart vs. Mr. Perfect (KOTR 93) 3- Ric Flair vs. Mr. Perfect (Loser Leaves Town - Jan 93) 4- Michaels vs. Jannetty (RAW May 93) 5- Michaels vs. Jannetty (RAW July 93) 6- Razor vs. The Kid (for historical purposes) 7- Intercontinental Title Battle Royale (which leads to...) 8- Razor vs. Martel 9- Steiners vs. Quebecers title change (gotta have some Johnny Polo ) 10- Michaels vs. Jannetty (Rumble 93) ok so it took quite a while to think of 10 (and I cheated including all the televised HBK vs. Jannetty matches) but I'd buy this
ISportsFan 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2003 10- Michaels vs. Jannetty (Rumble 93) Replace this with the Bret Hart/Jerry Lawler/Doink segment at SummerSlam 1993. Jason
