Ripper 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 HA!! 57-60 games...tops. And to keep with tradition, in my post in here, I hate Joe Johnson, Fire Frank Johnson....hey, whats KJ doing?
razazteca 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 Tom Chambers or Bill Lambeer for coach.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 I'd take either one. But knowing the suns, their last few coaches all played for or finished their careers with the team. Ainge, Westphal, Johnson, and then Cotton Fitzsimmons was just a higher up. Scott Skiles was the one exception. So they will go with a Tom Chambers, or Dan Marle. razazteca 0 Report post Posted December 10, 2003 Maybe the Suns should get one of the coaches from the WNBA, hell their 3rd jersey was from there anyways.
Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 Talk about Deja Vu, did anyone see the finish to the Clippers-Mavs game? It ended the exact same way the Lakers/Kings play-off game did, where Horry hit the shot at the buzzer to win. Replace Kobe with Brand, Shaq with Maggette, Finley with Vlade, and Horry with Rice and you got the same play. Only difference was that it was a two point shot by Rice not a three. Same final score too 100-
Guest Just J Report post Posted December 11, 2003 50+ games? You guys are hitting the hateraid pretty hard. This is the best team the NBA has seen in years and you guys are saying they will only win 50+ games. Put aside the hate for a minute and be realistic. They will win at least 60, but I can definatley see them getting 70.

ant_7000 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 Pippen is now thinking about retiring because of his bad knee. Hopefully, he'll be able to finish the season. The Bulls need to make a deal that'll get them Veteran PG and a quality Swingman.
Ripper 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 Jamal Crawford is quality at the point. They could sign Anthony whats his face that the Spurs just cut as a back up though. And they do need a quality swing man. I say send someone to the Hawks for Lee Nailon who is buried on the bench. The guy played great when he had good minutes in New Orleans while Mash was down. OR they could find where Demarr Johnson is and sign him. He performed well in the summer leagues and in the training camps.
ant_7000 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 Jamal is not a PG I've always thought that, Jamal and Jalen are the same player: Tall guys that can handle the ball and create their own shot but can't get their teammates envolved in the offense, That why they traded Rose and thats why Cartwright keep benching Crawford because he was playing one on one instead of passing the ball. Jamal is a good PG at times but it usually takes away from his scoring. Plus, they have Hinrich to run PG and he's a pretty good passer and defender, once his shot starts falling he'll be alright. I watch Bulls and Hornets game last Saturday Crawford played shitty until the 4th quarter when he went off and scored like 20 pts in the quarter.
razazteca 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2003 Anthony Carter is not healthy enough to play, the Bulls would be better off getting someone from the CBA.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2003 I got my Celtics Vs Mavs tickets at the Fleet Center today, I think the Celtics actually have a slight chance of beating the Mavs. They're something like 4-2 against Western Conference teams. I would do a review of the Fleet Center but it's not that interesting (It's a good place just to watch a game with no obstructed views, it's just a bit run of the mill). Steviekick 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2003 I don't know, I still think that the Mavs got the better part of the deal with the Walker trade.
King Kamala 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2003 Well that's fucking obvious since even if Raef was healthy, the Mavs would have gotten the better part of the deal. But the Celtics are coming together, they were in a bit of a struggle but this four game winning streak has boosted my confidence. I think they could go deep in the Eastern Conference playoffs. DAMN YOU TO HELL MARBURY! It was Amare leaving his ankle in Boston that has caused this losing streak...he has missed 6 games...we've lost 6 in a row. The math don't get any simpler than that. Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Report post Posted December 15, 2003 Whoa... Update! Ricky Davis Traded! Celtics director of basketball operations Danny Ainge has been promising for months that he was going to fill the scoring void left when he traded Antoine Walker to Dallas. Ainge has made his move. Two league sources told Insider that the Celtics and Cavaliers have agreed to a trade that will send Ricky Davis, Chris Mihm and Michael Stewart to Boston for Eric Williams, Tony Battie and Kedrick Brown. The trade is expected to be announced later Monday. Davis is a scoring machine but has bumped heads with new head coach Paul Silas. Silas coached Davis as a rookie in Charlotte and the two didn't get along, and Silas has grown frustrated with Davis' lack of defensive effort this season. The trade gives the Cavs three solid defenders to surround LeBron James. In addition, Cleveland creates extra cap flexibility next summer when Williams' contract comes off the books. The Celtics get a player capable of scoring 20 points a game in Davis as well as big man Mihm, who is playing the best basketball of his career. Eh, he'll still be #2 on the team, so whatever... King Kamala 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2003 This is a bad bad trade for the Celtics, Eric Williams was starting to become a great 6th man, Battie is improving and Kedrick well I'm glad we got rid of Kedrick. But all Ricky Davis is an egomaniacal ball hog, who does absolutely jackshit to help his team. The Road to 17 has been de-railed (Although even I didn't think the Celts would win it all). Guest Redhawk Report post Posted December 16, 2003 Dammit...I was waiting for Ricky D. to let his jealousy boil over and beat up on LeBron. That would have been sweet seeing Ricky pull a "Michael Westbrook on Stephen Davis" on King James.

But all Ricky Davis is an egomaniacal ball hog, who does absolutely jackshit to help his team. The Road to 17 has been de-railed (Although even I didn't think the Celts would win it all). First of all the team they had on the court right now was in no way winning a title. Eric Williams was not coming back next year so at least they got something for him. Tony Battie has, and always will have, bad knees and is one of the slowest tall thin guys I have ever seen. Kedrick Brown, sure he might be good someday, but I doubt it. All the kid ever showed he could do was jump...and play defense sometimes. Ricky Davis could be different coming to a city like this and playing on a team in which is already established as being Paul Pierce's team. As long as he knows his role and shuts his mouth all will be good in a couple m ore years of Ainge fixing this team.
Guest NCJ Report post Posted December 17, 2003 I have always liked Danny Ainge, but he has started off as one of the worst GM's I have ever seen. Yes I know Walker had alot of problems, but the guy is a total freak as far as talent. He can post, shot, pass, handle, and play defense above average when he wants to. Yes Kenyon Martin made him his personal bitch last year in the playoffs, but atleast KMart is a good player. Now they supposedly traded walker because he shoots to much, is selfish, and his contract was to big. Well they take an even longer big contract in return and a center who has never been anything other than average his entire professional career. Then they have a very perculiar draft where they trade their picks for one pretty good puck (Banks), and a high school project that will take years to pay off if ever(Perkins). They then proceed to trade one of their best defenders,a decent young point, and Tony Battie for a guy who will shoot just as much as Walker without his ability to pass, and post, a center who has played maybe 2 to 3 average weeks of ball for his entire 5 year career, and window dressing. It makes absolutely no sense. Either a) Ainge didn't trade Antoine for the reasons he said, or b) he is an idiot. However this is a very good trade for the Cavs. If they can get Wagner back soon and at 100%, plus add the defensive presense and intensity of Williams they could be very good. Because of Bron's size they can afford to play Wagner at the two and then swap duties on who guards the point. This allows Lebron to conserve more energy on defense, and gives him a scoring option to replace Ricky. To me Ainge is going to have to work a miracle or Davis is going to have to change real quick for me to belive in his ability to be a top GM.
ant_7000 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2003 NCJ I like the Jay-z quote btw. Anyway, I think Celtics made a trade if Davis get it together, lately he was playing unselfish ball before he got traded. The Bulls won last night with only 9 1/2 players, it would've been 10 but Eddie Robinson got hurt. Kendall Gill had a good game last night. Curry is out 2-4 Weeks with a bone bruise on his left knee. So the IL: Curry, Chandler, Pippen, Blount. Jay Williams is still on crutches, but he'll appear with the team on Saturday against the Cavs. Im starting to believe in Hinrich is a good player after all, and finally coming around offensively scoring.
