razazteca 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 Was Tim Legler the guy who suggested that the league realign into a North vs South format?

Tony149 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 First off, Steven A. Smith may be the most annoying guy on the planet. His "LOOK HOW LOUD I AM SEE I AM LOUD I AM LOUD LISTEN LISTEN I WILL TALK OVER DAVID ALDRIDGE EVEN IF HE ACTUALLY KNOWS WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT NOW LOOK LOUD SEE LOUD LOUD..." Tim Legler tends to get annoying too as he was demanding Greg Popovich give back his coach of the year award after one bad move by Pop. Remember, this is coming from TIM LEGLER. The dead man's Stever Kerr. And hell, if the game is on TNT, I'm a happy man, Sir Charles just rambling on about God knows what is good TV. Amen to everything you said. Jackson has annoyed me since his time on the Best Damn Sports Show Period so I knew what to expect when he joined ESPN. Tim Legler and to a lesser extent, fellow ESPNer Greg Anthony have confused me with some of their comments. When the Spurs were on their slump they went after them pretty good despite the face they're the defending NBA champions! Barkley is the Jesse Ventura of basketball -- he finds ways to entertain. Guest FrigidSoul Report post Posted February 12, 2004 Since Vin Baker missed his 10th consecutive game of the year the Celtics are allowed to terminate the rest of his contract if they want. This was agreed upon by Baker, the Celtics, and the Player's Association at the end of last season. If the Celtics do that they'll have a good amount to spend themselves in the upcoming off-season which means they may not suck for as long since Vin Baker's contract was basically killing them. I've never wanted a man to become unemployed more.
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted February 12, 2004 I'd like to say "Poor Vin" here but he brought it upon himself. The only complaint I have about TNT's coverage is that I'd like for John Thompson to get a few more games, he's always very frank and breaks stuff down quite well and if he gets extremely excited over something, you know it was good. But other than that, very solid stuff all around. So how bout Yao finally holding his own against the Diesel? Shaq's lucky the free throws were falling tonight or that matchup woulda looked incredibly one sided.
alfdogg 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 I can't believe they called a flagrant on him for the foul on Francis (which wasn't really a flagrant) but NOT when he smacked Yao in the head. Jim Gray is (not has) an enormous tool. Thanks there Jimmy, I really needed to know if Francis relieved himself during a timeout. Fag. For the record, I happen to be a fan of Steven A. Smith's. In fact, I don't think I've watched a whole Best Damn since he left the show. To me he's a refreshing change over from all the other drones on ESPN. I'm pretty much indifferent towards Legler, but I CAN'T STAND Greg Anthony. I don't even want to get started on him.
The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2004 About the all-star weekend... is Yao Ming playing in the rookie challenge AND the all-star game?
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted February 13, 2004 From what I've heard, Yao is indeed go for both of them. I'm more concerned about the poor rookie who dares try to stop one of Amare Stoudemire's dunk attempts. People is gonna die dammit.

Kurt Angle Mark 0 Report post Posted February 13, 2004 Here's what my 2004-2005 Clippers would look like C- Chris Kaman G- Kobe Bryant G- Marko Jaric F- Elton Brand F- Corey Maggette Richardson can be dealt for picks or a forward Granted, I am not too knowledgable about Basketball but I'd prefer a center who can block alot of shots and dominate. Any thoughts? Any thoughts on who's gonna go in the draft? I 'm hoping that would be the teams line up as well. Plus add Jameer Nelson as the teams rookie draft pick and Chris Wilcox as the 6th man Q will leave because he is a restricted free agent.

Guest JohnnySwift Report post Posted February 14, 2004 All they need are some 10 point circles and the 25 point basket and we have Mtv's Rock and Jock basketball reborn.
Guest OctoberBlood Report post Posted February 14, 2004 Celeb games are always boring, stupid and crappy. Rookie Challenge is coming up now. Should be good.
Guest JohnnySwift Report post Posted February 14, 2004 But come on though, Catino Mobley got signed partway during the game and almost pulled a Gary Payton and played for both teams. All in all though it was pretty bad. Didn't the rookie game used to be on saturdays with the dunk competition and 3pt shootout?
Guest Ghettoman Report post Posted February 14, 2004 Both times I've turned back to the rookie game Lebron busts out a sick dunk, second time with an ally oop from Carmello. I think I'm gonna stay tuned.
Guest OctoberBlood Report post Posted February 14, 2004 Rookie game has been shitty too, erm .. well, I guess alittle fun to watch, but bah .. it's not even a real game. Run down the court, dunk it, run down the court, dunk it .. over and over. Who cares.

The Electrifyer 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2004 You know, if you know your going to lose when there's only a minute or two left, having an impromptu dunk contest is a pretty good idea.

Run down the court, dunk it, run down the court, dunk it .. over and over. Who cares. The Allstar weekend is all about the dunks and 3 point contest so it is natural for the Rookie game to reflect that. Nobody cares who wins the game.
