Mik Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 Now call me crazy...but I really think that the Saints are gonna keep their turnaround going and make it to the playoffs...and I just have a strong feeling that those Maple Leafs are going to make it to the playoffs. *Note, not all crazy predictions of mine result in a world title*
bob_barron Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 Thank you Mik. If the Saints and Leafs both win- I owe you one
razazteca Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 NO Aint going to playoffs. Seriously if the South is going to have 2 teams represent the division it will be the Panthers and Bucs.
Slayer Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 <sneaks own wishful thinking into this thread> The Minnesota Vikings will win the Super Bowl
razazteca Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 <sneaks own wishful thinking into this thread> The Minnesota Vikings will win the Super Bowl Conan O'Brian: In the year 2000~
razazteca Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 Come on, getting a wildcard spot will be very hard to do.
Guest Flyboy Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 Come on, getting a wildcard spot will be very hard to do. If they beat Carolina today and Tampa Bay next week... no it won't.
EVIL~! alkeiper Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 To fill in the rest of you who don't follow the baseball threads. Mik started a threat in May/June saying that the Marlins had a shot at the Wild Card, and everyone laughed at him. So now he's a good luck charm.
treble Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 Thank you. I'll call up Toronto City Hall tomorrow and tell them to start planning the parade route.
The Czech Republic Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 Um...wasn't Toronto making the playoffs a given? I mean, they spend money and they're not the Rangers, so they should at least come in 8th place out of 15. I mean really. You wanna work some magic Mik, call for the Blackhawks making the playoffs. Please?
the max Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 I don't think Mik has enough luck to bring the Cup to Toronto. Maybe if some of the Senators will be nice and take it around the city or something.
Slayer Posted October 26, 2003 Report Posted October 26, 2003 I don't think Mik has enough luck to bring the Cup to Toronto. Maybe if some of the Senators will be nice and take it around the city or something. Well, something tells me that whenever a Canadian team reclaims the cup, it'll get paraded all around Canada, but we're not gonna see the cup south of the 49th again until a US team wins it back "You bastards have had it for long enough, eh!"
treble Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Man, this is working quite nicely right now.
Spaceman Spiff Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Provided your name isn't "Flyboy".
razazteca Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 If Aaron Brooks can produce 5 TDs every week than they shall make the playoffs.
Mik Posted December 15, 2003 Author Report Posted December 15, 2003 Hey, if I'm right on every 2/3, that's good enough for me. Especially with predictions as bold as Marlins will win wildcard/world series.
Slayer Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 I'll probably be that third case Damn you Mik <shakes fist>
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted December 15, 2003 Report Posted December 15, 2003 Considering that the Saints have to win out and are still looking up at 3 teams, it won't happen. They have to win 2 tough games while Minnesota, Green Bay, Seattle and Dallas only have to win 1 more to cement themselves in the playoffs makes it unlikely that the Aints will get in. Especially after the choke job they did last season.
starvenger Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 I don't think Mik has enough luck to bring the Cup to Toronto. A lot of times the Cup IS in Toronto. Just not in the Air Canada Centre. It's an agonizing 5 minute walk north of the ACC, in the Hockey Hall of Fame. And yes, the Leafs are looking playoff bound, but it's only December, so there's still lots of hockey left to be played this year, and I remain optimistic. Especially since I haven't had to piss and moan about Dummy and Tucker much...
Slayer Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 It's an agonizing 5 minute walk north of the ACC, in the Hockey Hall of Fame. I've been to the HHoF in Toronto, and seeing it made me think... Given how the sports hall of fames here in the US (at least the big ones: baseball and NFL, for sure) have big notable buildings devoted to it, I can't fathom why HoF devoted to the great sport of the north is stuck away in the corner of a mall basement
starvenger Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 You shoulda seen the shack it was in before...
CanadianChris Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 They should've put it in Maple Leaf Gardens once they closed the place down for hockey.
Gert T Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 Obviously New Orleans winning their last 2 is paramount in getting to the playoffs, but who has the tiebreakers if Dallas, Seattle, New Orleans, Minnesota, or Green Bay finish 9-7? (Obviously one has to win the NFC North, and if they're tied Minnesota gets the tiebreaker)
Guest Flyboy Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 We won't make the playoffs, but I'm still proud of my team nonetheless.
starvenger Posted December 16, 2003 Report Posted December 16, 2003 They should've put it in Maple Leaf Gardens once they closed the place down for hockey. They could still do it. Aisle 4: Coffee, Tea, Gretzky Exhibit...
Guest Vitamin X Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 Saints didn't make the playoffs but they did have the best damn play of the year. Too bad they didn't make the extra point. That's just painful.
