Guest Anglesault Report post Posted October 28, 2003 Anyway, What does everyone think of Heidenhoser? His gimmick is at least somewhat intriguing. Little Johnny will be a let down, but what can ya do. His mic work isn't so bad either. He comes across as a great big rambling slightly stupid doof, but that's his gimmick. Aside from slipping on the kick, his ring work was no worse than say, Test or Albert or someone like that. Generic big man stuff. And he has a, well, different finisher than most. He could work as long as he stays in the midcard for now.

Dangerous A 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2003 I'd say he had a less awkward debut than other hosses like Nathan Jones. I would say potential is there, but WWE creative will find a way to fuck this up like they've fucked up every other debut since 2001. I know, I know. DA sounds like a broken record. Well, WWE hasn't done anything to fix it, so there.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted October 28, 2003 Can't wait for Wedgie-slam T-shirts! You know their coming. And you know this means he's feuding with Jericho
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 28, 2003 The thing is? I was kinda hoping they would prolong the whole stalker thing... Something oddly amusing about him walking around trying to get a job with all this turmoil going on...only to irritate Austin even more.
2GOLD 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2003 He was decent enough. He was a little slow in the ring but that can easily be fixed. He has potential
The Dames 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2003 He doesn't seem like anything special, but then again, the guy didn't even take a bump in the match or sell anything. Once he does, that'll be the true indication of whether or not the guy is a waste of time. Dames
{''({o..o})''} 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2003 I'd wonder what would happen if "Little Johnny" was his name for his friend down below and it was used in a Mr. Socko type role...
SamoaRowe 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2003 I was not impressed with his debut. He was okay (minus that slip) but he really isn't anything special (and I wish Paul London's debut had come with HALF as much fanfare). Oh, and Test is worlds better than this guy. I will never understand why so many smarks have this hatred of Test. IMO, he has done nothing to deserve it.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted October 28, 2003 The Sad thing was? Test was better with ONE foot then he is with two healthy feet. He might suck as a wrestler but he can sell pain like a motherfucker and I couldn't stop cracking up with his whole "C'MON KANE!" While he limped helplessly around the ring... Hehe.... that was one of Test's better matches as of late. He and Shane have good chemistry though, I loved their Summerslam '99 match.

IMO, he has done nothing to deserve it. Test has had a grand total of TWO *** matches in the WWF. He arrived in 1998. That's AWFUL.

AndrewTS 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2003 Well, I'll give WWE one thing...at least they seem to finally realize WWE fans don't give half a shit about Generic OVW Vanilla Hoss #725 and decided to give him a personality/gimmick. The one he's got sucks, but at least it's a start. Got to do something about that bland offense, "just another hoss" look, and horribly unmarketable name. Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted October 29, 2003 Difference between Test & Tenta. Tenta's T.V matches were either squashes and the occasional versus real wrestler matches. Test wrestles EVERY week for the past 5 years and has only had TWO *** matches. (1 vs. his good pal Shane, so I'll only count the one v. Eddie at WM X-7)

Test vs The Rock in 2001: *** Which one? IMHO, both were not just bad, but damned bad. Test vs Saturn on Smackdown: *** I have no idea when this might be. Guest Mulatto Heat Report post Posted October 29, 2003 I remember a Test/Saturn hardcore title match in June 2001 (it was Moppy's debut), but that sure as hell wasn't ***. Then again I have a hard, hard time finding redeemable qualities in run-of-the-mill WWE hardcore matches.
Your Paragon of Virtue 0 Report post Posted October 29, 2003 Again I ask; anyone see that documentary on TLC about UPW? This guy played for the Saints and about six months after he started training, landed a WWE Developmental deal. Nathan Jones was his tag partner. Christopher Daniels was working for UPW at the same time. He had a tryout with WCW right before it folded and has never been given another chance at the big time since, unless you count ROH or NWA, but most, including myself. don't. That's gotta say something.

Sure, the gimmick sounds intriguing, but too bad they gave it to a guy that sucks in the ring (see: Jones, Nathan). There's a reason Helms did 95% of the work in that match. And I'd put Test & A-Train as worlds better than Heidenreich. As for his finisher, it's just a slight variation on the Rock Bottom. Seriously, do you have the real AS tied up in the closet?
