JN News Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 We've all read the reports from Torch & the Observer about a possible dream match between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg. However, from what I've recently heard, Goldberg has a clause in his contract, totally excluding him from ever having to work a match against Lesnar. Is this true? If so, how will this affect Wrestlemania 20?
Guest Salacious Crumb Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 God I hope he does have that clause.
JN News Posted November 3, 2003 Author Report Posted November 3, 2003 There is no such clause. Good. I want Lesnar to destroy Goldturd in Madison Square Garden.
Guest JMA Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 God I hope he does have that clause. So do I. Goldberg isn't in Lesnar's league. Brock does Bill's schtick better and actually knows how to WRESTLE.
bob_barron Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 What's the point of staring a thread saying how Goldberg has a clause in his contract saying he won't work with Brock and then in the actual thread- you don't even know if it's true?

I just wanted to know the truth. I heard about this "contract clause" on a Brock Lesnar fansite on their message board. I only asked this question to get clear clarification from you guys.
ryankeast Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 Will Goldberg even still be around come Wrestlemania?????
SamoaRowe Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 If Goldberg had gotten a clause not to wrestle anyone, I imagine it would have been Triple H. I don't see why Goldberg would be against wrestling Lesnar.
cawthon777 Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 We've all read the reports from Torch & the Observer about a possible dream match between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg. Who's dream is that? They should be hit about the nose with a rolled up newspaper.

Who's dream is that? They should be hit about the nose with a rolled up newspaper. Bret Hart's, maybe? He's secretly hoping that Lesnar "accidentally" injures Goldberg to retirement?
AndrewTS Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 I had a feeling of deja vu...is this a revived thread? *checks date* No. Hmmm...
USC Wuz Robbed! Posted November 3, 2003 Report Posted November 3, 2003 Because Goldberg's threatened by Lesnar....
AndrewTS Posted November 4, 2003 Report Posted November 4, 2003 We've all read the reports from Torch & the Observer about a possible dream match between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg. Who's dream is that? They should be hit about the nose with a rolled up newspaper. Bret Hart's, maybe? He's secretly hoping that Lesnar "accidentally" injures Goldberg to retirement? But Bret isn't bitter at/angry at Goldberg. Now, Shawn Michaels or Vince...

Lil' Bitch Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 I heard the clause in his contract was that he wouldn't job to HHH and Brock Lesnar. But he ended up jobbing to HHH 2 times already... We've all read the reports from Torch & the Observer about a possible dream match between Brock Lesnar and Goldberg. Who's dream is that? A bunch of Brock fans who want to see him destroy Goldberg. Will Goldberg even still be around come Wrestlemania????? WM XX is his last working date on his contract from what I heard.
Guest Username Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 yeah, wrestlemania xx is when his contract is up. after mania xx, he then decides if he's going to re-sign a new contract. anyways, i'd like to see brock attempt another shooting star press...it would be awesome. he should wuss out a few times, show the crowd that he's nervous about screwing it up again.
AndrewTS Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 Does anyone actually see Goldberg signing an extention? They've been tinkering with his character and making him sell for worthless slugs, and he's not been invulnerable from political maneuvering. Plus, WWE probably feels he hasn't been worth the money he was signed for, so they likely won't want to sign him for any longer unless they re-negotiate for a lower price. Frankly, I don't think Goldie will go for that. So, unless GB takes off again in a huge way with a majorly revamped push or he might not be around any longer than Mania.
Guest NCJ Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 I do remember hearing a rumor when he was signed that Goldberg had a clause in his contract that he wouldn't be made to job to certain people. Those people included HHH and Brock. I don't know how true that is, but it was on alot of the dirt sheets.

I think that the "JN News Effect" has struck. Also known as "rampant stupidity."
Jobber of the Week Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 I need to see either Goldberg/Lesnar or Goldberg/LowKi before I die. I wanna make sure that he knows what it feels like to get stiffed.
1234-5678 Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 The real question is, would Lesnar-Goldberg draw? Many of my friends who stopped watching wrestling probably don't even know who Brock Lesnar is. The money is in Austin-Goldberg, and Vince should know that. If Steve can wrestle, there is no way he is going to turn down that payday. Not with two divorces.

Austin has also said "if he feels safe." Safe and Goldberg don;t go together.

Hmmm, a million dollars, or possible paralysis and one last night in the ring...............I'll take the money and the adulation, thanks.
jester Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 Remember when Brock first came in and the fans chanted "Goldberg" at him? Good times.
UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 Hey...ah... Do the people posting ridiculous threads like these ever give credit to where they "hear" stuff...such as, "Goldberg has contract that won't let him wrestle Lesnar." Do you know how God damn stupid that sounds? This reminds me of two 8-year olds discussing how many Ultimate Warriors there were, and how many died. "No, Hulk won't wrestle Warrior again cuz he has a contract that says he can't!" As far as Goldberg's contract, I think he'll be kept around after XX. He's done reasonably well as World Champion, the problem being we, as fans, haven't seen him in a match where we actually believe he'll lose the belt b/c we know the rematch with HHH with coming. Survivor Series will be a crucial point in BG's career as far as future plans to keep him as a credible champion or fade him away. I predict Goldberg retains. BG's selling to guys like Batista and Mark Henry is only helping them, so good job Bill. They may be hosses, but at least their value to the marks improves, and thus, the quality of the overall product is seen as more credible when the green hosses are involved in main events.
Lord of The Curry Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 Mark Henry will never have value as a wrestler, period.
Guest The Winter Of My Discontent Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 You called him Goldturd. Thats embarrasingly unfunny. And remember the rumors that stated that Goldberg wouldn't work with triple H? Exactly. Quit hypothesising and starting shit, this is what gives internet wrestling fans a bad name.
Just call me Dan Posted November 5, 2003 Report Posted November 5, 2003 I'd say Goldberg ends up in TNA after XX.
