Because he's a fucking asshole.

Oh and calling himself "Hardcore" even when marks know he isn't.

What's so 'hardcore' about him?

Uh...he was in Hardcore matches???

Mmmmm, I'm guessing that everyone has forgotten about the period where Hardcore Holly WAS super over as a face, and this was in 2000. He was getting the kind of pops RVD gets now, and he was about to be pushed as a title contender UNTIL, one Kurt Angle broke his arm with a bad moonsault. Holly has been useless ever since, but, looks like they plan to pick up where they left off three years ago.

Yeah, and that was four and a half years ago. What is so hardcore about him these days?

Maybe you should all shut up. I hate speaking French.

Holly brings ruthless aggression and intensity?

Haha, cute....

Oh wait, you weren't serious with that, were you?

he is repeatedly pushed despite having little talent, and he's stiff

How is Holly repeatedly pushed? He's had like, what, 3 or 4 decent pushes in the just-under 10 years or so he's been with the company. That doesn't seem very repetitive.

What's so 'hardcore' about him?

Besides the obvious fact that his gimmick used to be that he was a hardcore wrestler, (And they've probably kept it on him because Hardcore is a better name for a wrestler then Bob) I'd say the fact that the guy's broken his arm, yet finished the match, is pretty hardcore.

These new video packages are a freakin' riot because those saying how tough he is were doubtless strongly encouraged to do so from the Office.

Well, of course. I doubt that they were interviewing Big Show to get his opinions on world politics when Big Show suddenly decided to point out that Holly's tough. Besides, being a tough bastard is his GIMMICK. It has been since he first started being Hardcore, and was a big part of it when he was the Big Shot. So why not try to get the gimmick over?

Big tall angry with the Look.

Hardcore Holly is six-foot nothing and weighs two hundred and thirty-five pounds. If you're gonna rag on him, rag on him for reasons that make sense.

For the record, I think I'm the last living Hardcore Holly mark. Why? Because I really dig his character, and I don't find his wrestling to be horrible. Sure, he's not a great worker, but he's capable. And that dropkick. Not just because it's a really good dropkick, but because he fucking KNOWS IT and poses whenever he does it. I mean, he DROPKICKS someone, then gets up and poses to show how fucking great his dropkick was. I love it.

First off, I would discount pretty much everything before the super-heavy run with Crash (RIP)... I mean, could you possibly take him seriously in the NASCAR gimmick or short neo-MX run, stiff or not stiff?

During and since the super-heavy run, he's apparently tried to do his best to look like a badass and make everyone forget about 1993-1999, but I just can never take him seriously in any form or fashion

No

WWE never makes sense. That description is as generic as the "new talent" that is being brought in.

Bob Holly has been (use "has been" anyway you want) with the WWF/E for 10 years and has only on been on 2 wrestlemania's. That should say something. He was in a hardcore match at one and the other was at WMX when he got to come out and lift Bret Hart in the air.

Anyone else that useless would and have been fired.

He was in two WM Hardcore matches - at 15 and 16.

I think there's another thing that's overlooked. To quote Mick Foley: "Bob hits as hard in a match as most guys do in a street fight."

So being overly stiff on a consistant basis might have something to do with it.

I'm still curious as to why Holly being stiff is bad, but Lo-Ki and various other assorted Japanese and independent wrestlers stiff the shit out of everything, and they're practically legends for it.

Because they look good while being stiff. Holly looks exactly the same as if he were as light as Lance Storm.

I sure as hell don't remember that. Hardcore was getting pretty good heat with his "Big Shot" gimmick in the summer of 99, but his push seemed to dry up as soon as Russo went to WCW. They tried throwing him in an I-C Title program in early 2000, which didn't really go over all that well, and he was completely overshadowed once Crash started his 24/7 gimmick. I dunno how you can say he was getting RVD-type heat when he broke his arm.

Holly's best chance at a push of any real meaning was to beat Kurt Angle after he returned from the arm injury. But they never really went with it, so whatever.

Yeah, have Bob Holly beat the reigning world champion.

That'll draw.

That's why I'm so against this Brock feud.
