HHH vs. Foley for WMXX?

Recommended Posts

Guest Kamui
Mick Foley recently told the Crimson White Newspaper that he is in early talks with WWE about wrestling at WrestleMania XX, possibly against Triple H.

"He was one of my favorite opponents," Foley said. "And I keep hearing rumors he might be one of my future opponents."

Link to the whole article is right here.

Well Foley better get his ass into shape cause he's gotten fatter judging by the wedding pics.

Funny how Foley says he doesn't want a part of the WWE but, still keeps coming back to shill his newest books.

Why should he get in shape when HHH won't either? Sorry, but I can't see them duplicating what they've done in the past because Foley's fat and out of shape, and HHH blows now. And how would that help future business? ugh

It doesn't make any sense! I mean, seriously, who is supposed to win the match? Even with all the hate that Triple H gets, it makes zero sense for him to lose. What does he gain from beating Foley though? Nothing! He's already defeated him on multiple occasions and retired him.

On the other hand, Foley has even less to prove. He was retired by HHH...stay retired! If he comes back and wins, what does that prove? That Foley is a better competitor when he hasn't wrestled in a couple years?

Stupid.

I actually think it would be a good match, but it has no reason to take place. Foley bumping for Hunters offense is always good.

I'd like to see this just to see if Foley after all this time being retired could still pull a great match out of Triple H. Sounds like a fun feud as long as it's not over the title.

"WAHHHHHHH!!!!!! Foley is gonna lose!!! WAHHH!!!!"

Honestly, I think Foley should go over. One last win in MSG, as long as he is in shape, over the guy he could never beat, HHH.

If Foley is out of shape/bringing nothing to the table, I hope he gets Pedigreed through the mat, again, from a fan's POV.

^Me either.

Shouldn't it be Orton/Foley(Legend) at WM? Since Orton is the one that took him out.

Orton(Legend Killer) vs Foley(Legend)

It makes sense.

Orton Vs Foley wont draw flies. Foley Vs Triple H would do a nice little buy rate. Orton Vs Foley on Raw, Triple H helps Orton beat Foley. Orton goes back to lower midcard where he belongs and Foley moves up to Triple H at Mania.

Damn...uh, I just had to tell Foley that HHH fighting him was the best part of the entire Nash/HHH feud. :P

Well, at least Foley on Raw would make it more watchable in the GOOD way.

Damn me for forgetting to mention HHH should have learned a few things from Mick.

Personally I would have Foley cost Austins team the win at Survivor Series. The next night on raw have Foley come out and blame Austin for stealing his spotlight. He should say he should have been the one to lead the WWF not austin. Have him blame Austin for ending his career early. Saying since the fans chose Austin he had to kill himself with bumps just to play second fiddle. Have him cut the same anti-hardcore promo he did in ECW describing how the fans and austin have caused him so much pain. Then build the legends match for mania of austin/foley. I guarantee if you let austin and foley book their own stuff it would draw.

I don't give a fuck about storylines anymore, I'm so sick of the bullshit that WWE shovels at us. As long as its a 5* match where Foley actually beats Triple-H I'm fine with it. The set-up of having Orton beat Foley on Raw due to Trips doing a run-in is a good idea.

You know they're going to put the same damn people over again and again till the end of time so why not just enjoy a great match where Foley can "shock the world" by beating Triple-H. Hell, have it be an I Quit Match where Trips actually quits...I'd probably jump out of my seat

What's the point? Nobody will believe Foley has a shot to win, and using Foley to put over HHH is pointless.

You have two of the biggest names in WWF/E history wrestling at the 20th Wrestlemania for old times sake. As long as it's not over the title and it's not the main event of the show does it really matter who goes over or not as long as we get a good/great match at the biggest PPV of the year?

How about the point of having an actual entertaining wrestler on PPV for once?

Anyone else tired of this "It's Wrestlemania so lets bring a whole lot of old people back" trend?

Hey Andrew, could you stop salivating over Foley for 5 minutes and think before you type?

"HHH shoulda learned from Foley"...

Learned what? No offense, I think Foley had a nice run, but besides the hardcore bumps in a few matches, Hunter has had just as many great bouts as Mick.

He's also headlined more big shows.

He's also been praised by the internet until getting injured...and now the marks on here, who verbally blow Angle and such, have nothing but hate for Hunter, who is forced to work with stiffs on RAW...while Angle gets Benoit, Guerrero, Lesnar, Cena, etc. on Smackdown, at least in big PPV matches.

I'm not gonna blast Foley, but don't diss HHH just because he went over Mick when Mick was ADMITTINGLY 5 months past when he was supposed to retire.

Idiot.

I am tired of people like Hogan, Savage and Piper. But I could stand to see another Foley-Austin storyline. I am saying keep the title away from them. Maybe have them open mania. I have always felt that the opening match on a ppv is the third most important slot, behind main and semi-main. Thats why 10 was so great.

But, if these two can actually put on a great match together shouldn't we be happy since we're suppose to be FANS?

And really, who's on Raw that is actually entertaining that you're worried will be left off a 4 hour Wrestlemania PPV because of this match? I'd rather see Triple H Vs Foley then RVD Vs Christian or Dudleys Vs Team French Vanilla.

Why? What would be the point. And besides Foley going over HHH would screw the rest of the roster. Out of shape and retired Foley beats HHH yet RVD, Jericho, Booker, etc can't. That's going to do wonders.

It doesn't matter anymore does it. I doubt Booker or RVD will be taken seriously as an upper carder ever again, so why not bring Mick in to make the interest in Mania greater? I know 5 or 6 friends of mine who haven't watched in a couple years, but who asked me about Badd Blood just cause Foley was there.
